Oh no Lissa I'm so sorry - how can I help.
I don't think there is anything that can be done. My period hasn't come yet (is three days late) but my tests are basically negative right now.
I had a really good feeling about this sway, too. I just felt like it was our girl, and now she's leaving me. I'm devastated.
Actually, atomic...what would you recommend for a girl sway after a chemical pg? Anything different? Am I going to be more fertile after this? Would that sway a boy? I haven't been following the L.E. diet since I found out I was pregnant. And I started taking prenatals again. Eating a lot more, etc. Should I even try again right away? All my FB group friends say that I should...
The old saw about being more fertile after a loss has never really been proven, and anyway it's not the type of fertility that sways blue. It may (possibly, maybe, never proven) may make you more likely to release a good egg, but it's the type of thing that makes it easier for sperm to meet egg that sways. That may be worse after a chemical, not better.
Whether to try or not is at your discretion. You were only off diet a few days and since AF has not come yet, there is still time to regroup and move on from here.
Here's my new Sway Plan for our upcoming TTC cycle #3
- Relaxed L.E. Diet (Vegetarian 100%, skipping breakfast, intermittent fasting a couple days out of the week - but still snacking a bit and cheating a bit)
- Fiber
- No prenatals, BUT daily supplementation with Folate, Vitamin D, and Iron because I'm slightly deficient in both D and Iron. Also taking fish oil again - I did this with my son, so I may be taking a big risk!
- Instant coffee daily
- Wine a few times a week
- One attempt at first sign of EWCM (which is usually a few days before O) and another SECOND attempt at positive OPK - but I haven't decided for sure if we will do one or two attempts
- Jump and dump after 10 minutes
My husband is not really pushed on swaying, even though I know he wants a girl! But, he equally wants a boy and is more easy going. He takes supplements, multi vitamins and does not drink or smoke or do anything remotely unhealthy. He's a bit of a health nut. BUT, he is wearing tight underwear and putting his laptop on his balls! Hahah! So, that may lower his sperm count a bit??
I am going to be even more relaxed about this sway than before in some ways because I too just want a baby and would be thrilled with another boy. But still dream of a girl and will do what I think may work to get one. Still depressed about my chemical pregnancy last cycle because I had a feeling it was our girl! Oh well...
What is everyone else planning!??! I am always open for tweaks and suggestions too :)
Well I'm lightly doing the PCOS diet and trying to cut way back on carbs as I feel they are problematic for me. I'm trying to go vegetarian but it's hard for me! We have cut way back on red meat though. No breakfast (just coffee with flavoured creamer-soybean oil!), and no snacking. Lots of veggies. We planted a garden this year and we already have loads of romaine lettuce, spinach and kale so salads are a daily staple!
I'm taking fiber when I remember which is about 3-4 times/week.
6 metric cups of coffee/day
Glass of wine every day
45-60 minutes on the stationary bike 4-5 days/week
Switched from butter to margarine but now that I've cut out bread, I don't really eat much margarine.
Trying to stay away from sugar but I'm no pro.
Will do 1 attempt at posted OPK if they work for me. Still not sure how that part will work.
Would you consider dropping fish oil, D, and iron to 3x a week?? your body may see this as a decline in nutrients but you'd still be giving yourself that regular intake.
I could do that with the fish oil and the iron, but I don't think I should do that with the D! I had bloodwork done just a couple of months ago that showed I was *severely* vitamin D deficient! I am pretty sure if I remain deficient, it will screw up my hormones and make it harder for me to conceive. I have to keep taking that every day, but the others can just be a couple times a week :)
