I have done this in the past as well and it always says I have a 80%-90% chance of conceiving a girl. It was wrong with me last!
uh..i'm not sure if there's any truth to this but when i took the test, it indicated that I have 90% chance of conceiving a girl and 10% chance of a boy lol..makes me want to do my attempt this cycle! lol
Her theory is that hormonal levels in women decide the gender of the child (which is partially true). Typically a woman that lets say leads a more dominant life style (for example a "career orientated woman" that works amongst men) can have higher testosterone levels and thus is more likely to have a son. A woman that is at home, "inferior" to her husband, might have lower testosterone levels. I remember reading about a study that showed that women with a more positive outlook on life or leading a prosperous lifestyle is more likely to have a boy. It all makes sense, but its not as easy as the test suggests. Please dont take it seriously! Hope you will get your girly real soon xxxxx
Hmm... interesting! For me it says category 3 which is 80% girl and 20% boy..... wonder how much of that is the fact that I am on holidays for another week and if the results will change when I go back to work next week! I think so!
All good for a bit of fun though, thanks for sharing Nini :)
Ok, first I was honest. I am very happy and proud (I love my job), I ticked lots of strong and happy words. The same for my DH, he is in a good mood too.
Result was: 85% boy. Category 8.
Then I did it again and ticked all the depressing words (I'm not depressed though). Now the result was Category 2 and 85% Girl.
Now when I conceived my son's I was depressed, and when on antidepressants after birth (didn't wanna take any during pregnancy)
Now I just came off antidepressants a month ago and TTC a girl. I hope it won't make me depressed even if that would increase my chance for a girl according to that test.
But the Testosterone... I always had high levels of this, taking BCP that counteracts this as otherwise I have breakouts even at 30. So once I will get off the BCP I will definitely need to use something to keep my testosterone low. I believ it plays a part.
Mine said I was more likely to conceive a boy! I guess my life is so different now to when I had my girls. I work full-time in a high stress job and care for 5 kids pretty much all alone most of the year. I take on most of the responsibility in our lives and have to be in control and super organised. Nothing like I was with the other 5...not sure that will make me actually produce a male though.
