How accurate ate Nubologists?

I wanted to wait until the baby is born, but the suspense is killing me. I also need to prepare as I have 2 boys and no girls! So I need everything!
Yes! It is. Although she doesn't believe the nub theory. When she did the potty shot she said oh there's a bulge! So she was thinking boy, but then said girl, then said she wasn't sure and it's 50/50! Lol

But she said she never does potty shots at that age so she really isnt sure what she was looking at lol. Also said usually if it's a boy it is very apparent. She scoffs at the nub theory lol. So I'm happy to have access to awesome groups like this that can give some reliable info and insight!

Bobster, what is the bladder theory?

Potty shots are not reliable at that stage. Again, remember, girls have "stuff" too, and when you're a baby with no body fat, that "stuff" sticks right on out there. People think of baby girls like they're Barbie dolls and are perfectly smooth but they aren't at all!

I really recommend finding out if you have a gender preference - it's too tough to be dealing with emotional stuff when you ahve to care for this tiny human being who needs you.

Did you mean potty shot? Yes, that's what I thought. She laughed at me. Said they aren't concerned about gender obviously. I initially went in for her to check the nuchal fold, as the lady I had said I was 1 day past minimum and didn't drink enough water. She also had a crappy machine. So my sister double checked. That was my first priority.
I asked my sister not to look actually lol. Clearly she ignored me!

Thanks Atomic. I will be finding out! I very much want a baby girl, but even before we got pregnant I made peace in knowing that I would be happy with either gender and what God gives me is what I'm meant to have!
Especially with the chemical pregnancy and waiting to get pregnant. Blessed either way and thankful!!

I’m not sure on the accuracy of the bladder theory but when I’ve looked at the bladder location on my own and others’ scans it seems there’s something to it, although sometimes the angle can distort the appearance so it really does need to be a side shot.

In girls the bladder seems to sit snugly straight behind the nub, whereas in boys it seems to sit further down, so if you drew a line over the top of the bladder to the end of the nub it would run at an angle. Similar to nub theory I guess but using the location of the bladder as a guide too.

Could be complete rubbish I don’t know!!!

UPDATE** I just had my 15 week private scan. They told me IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! My gentle sway worked!!!!!
So happy! But won't believe it until I see her (saying her sounds weird)** lololol
