Yay babymad! He looks like a dink in the photos. Really cute! Can't belive you managed at home too! Bf with two kids is a pain it's true. I have to top up as I can't sit and feed all day either. Glad you choose what's best for you. I don't have strong feelings about formula or bf. It's just what makes mum happy. God knows I have had hell feeding all my boys. But I enjoy the marter-Dom!

Sunset, sorry you're having a crappy time with health visitors/docs etc. Im afraid the nhs seems very hit and miss in my area too. Sometimes they can be fantastic and sometimes hopeless. I hope you get things looked at very soon and that everything turns out fine with your ds2. Great news at least about his potty training....well done! I have just been thinking about when to tackle my ds2. Either need to tackle it over the summer before bubs or wait till next spring when he will be more ready but i will have my hands more full. Same goes for switching him into ds1's room and a bed. Do it before bubs and get him settled but probably say goodbye to daytime naps and mega long night time sleeping or do it just before bubs needs his room but that could be risky if it doesn't go well!
Charlie, yay for being full term.... lets hope you get your washing machine sorted soon and then bubs makes a lovely early/on time appearance like babymads little man!
Inglewood, i hope things are improving at home... at least with dh if not the twins!
As for our meet up, i cant quite gauge from everyone what they would prefer to do. hmmmm how can we sort this out? Would be a shame for the summer to pass and not meet up, even if its just a few of us!
Maybe, i cant imagine having an 8 year old in the house. My eldest still seems so young! Sweet that he cares so much even if its doing your head in!

Ds3 has 2 teeth and is 7 months today! Hes such a little tresure and brings us sooo much happiness x

Deaks ~ I'm not feeling too bad at the moment, to be honest I am just so pleased not to be pregnant anymore, I really didn't enjoy the pregnancy at all. Hormones seem quite stable at the moment, I'm sure they will kick in soon!! DH at home this week so just hiding at home, no school run etc, not sure how I will feel when I have to face the big wide world next week!
I am trying my hardest not to keep thinking about 'what if' as I know that's not healthly for anyone - bit it's hard.
So you still haven't got confirmation you are having a boy then - you could still have a pink one cooking in there?? :)
Petal ~ I feel like I have been beaten up over and over - every bit of of my body hurts - I'm no spring chicken and my body is defo telling me that!
Maybe ~ LOL at your eldest, where did he hear those sayings in the first place :) My eldest has been fab bless him, he is going to be the perfect babysitter :)
I'm up for a meet up - Wells is best for me, we would have to stay for the weekend as too far to travel for the day, so we would come as a family.

My eldest has only heard that from mum. He just ozzezes mummynes! It really lovely he is so caring about lo. I felt bad for over a month post birth. Best just to do as little as possible for as long as youcan. Xxx

Sunset, sorry you are having probs with getting your son seen! My ds1 has hearing problems, well he failed his hearing test at school when he was 4 (hes now 11) got a hospital appointment and they just said he has ear wax!! so that was that. Hes always suffered with earache and the other month his ear was bleeding, so took him to A&E, he had antibiotics. Went for a follow up at the docs and ds1 said his ear was blocked and he couldnt hear, so doc said i had to make an appointment with the school nurse to get referred to the hospital, so another 3 weeks and saw the school nurse, reduced hearing in both ears so back to the docs, he looked at the form and has referred him, now waiting for an appointment at the hospital, aghrrrr, this has been going on since the begining of bloody april!!!!!!!! poor boy cant hear properly and no appointment in sight! I know theres children with much worse and i shouldnt complain but.... sigh. Anyway, just wanted to say i understand what you are going through sunset, they did think that ds1 would need speech therapy for a while when he started school, he speech was a little unclear and even now sometimes if he talks fast he has to repeat himself, i think its all down to his ears and not being able to hear properly.
Sorry for the rant, ive gone off on one a tad lol x
Babymad, glad you're ok! take your time and rest, dont do too much too soon, just be with your little boy and take time to bond, he is sooo yummy!!!! Who does he look like do you think? Cant wait to hear his name :-)
I dont think you need to worry too much about 'facing the world' you've had sooo many lovely comments on fb!! People dont tend to make silly remarks once the baby is here. You be proud, you have a beautiful family and as someone wrote on your fb... 4 boys is something really special :-)) x x
Thanks Deaks and Indigo, ds3 is just an amazing little boy, hes so happy and makes me smile and laugh everyday, he does the funniest things and has such a cheeky little face, just love his company :-) x
Lovely to hear from you Babymad, I too am a bottle-feeding mama after failing miserably after a few weeks with the boys. Couldn't imagine trying to BF twins and so so admire anyone for giving it a go! Is he the biggest weight out of your babies? Love the recent fb pic of him and daddy!

Deaks, I have a 9yr old, he is 10 in Nov, that is scary!! Used the white noise today :) :) :) Dh went a bit mental as my elderly neighbour yapped for ages while DD1 was screaming ( I didn't hear as back door closed) and he couldn't eat his tea....OMG!! boo bloody hoo! MEN! Welcome to my breakfast, lunch and tea-time!
Mentioned Wells to DH, he just mumbled...so think he would go down but not 'meet'up, he'd leave that toall us lot, he's quite a shy guy.

Still waiting here... noooo sign of baby!!!! Spent 6 hours at the hospital on Friday for fetal monitoring... damn blood pressure! Çan't believe this is my longest pregnancy!!! I've been on "baby arrival alert" for 4 weeks already. Went to cinema yesterday (Queen's Birthday Public holiday here) to the Gold Class - needed to take my mind off the waiting!! Mind you DS2 has been sick for about 3 weeks. He has a really nasty cold at the moment so really want him to shift that before baby arrives - he coughs all night and has so much mucous on his chest. Poor thing! I'm knackered as he is up all night whimpering.
Anyways - DS1 is very grumpy today (disturbed last night by DS2) so need to find something to entertain him...
Petal ~ So pleased you are enjoying DS3 so much :) Yes, that comment brought a tear to my eye, I need to be more positive but after having 4/5 months of such negative comments it's hard not to be defensive but so far everyone has been very nice let's hope it stays that way when I am out and about! :) x
Inglewood ~ Men are defo a breed on their own :) Have you managed to have a bit of time together yet? A meal at home or cinema? Maybe your mum could have the kids for an hour whilst you do something together - just helps to have time to talk for a few minutes without getting stressed with each other, easier said than done though I know!! How are the girls doing? x
Yes, this baby is our biggest :)Theyhave got bigger each time which apparently is normal, baring in mind all mine are over cooked too!:) The placenta was huge and very painful to deliver!

Maybebaby ~ the reason no one wants to see my ds2 is because he's completely normal in all other aspects of his development, but the speech. My kids are also bilingual which is yet another reason why they think he's just a bit slow at talking, but he's 2 years and 7 months now and altough he has alot of words which I can understand - no one else can! so there is no doubt in my mind that he needs speech therapy. He might just be slow at talking or have dull ears that need cleaning or he might have something more serious like dyspraxia but unless he gets evaluated we'll never know the cause so it frustrates me to no end that no one listens to me... and it's only 5 months until he starts nursery and the thought of the kids picking on him because they can't understand him breaks my heart.

Feel like dropping ATM busy busy and no shrike week. Sunset - I could talk all day about speech! Can you find the number for your salt team? If so phone them and ask how long the waiting list is. I wouldn't be surprised if it's over a year. Nursery can refer you to salt as well, they might actually be your best hope. Could you spare £100 for a private assessment? My son was pronounced deaf once but I still got no help as sixonths later he was ok. Pretty sure he has glue ear but again dispite doing everything I get no where. I am hoping school will be able to helpe but it's all tillage as je is give in oct. Oldest in year and still behaves like a to year old. Being deaf and slow to talk can put them back academically

I have A few friends with bi- lingual kids. That should not be a reason to be a slow talker from what I have seen. My friends girl only talks in Danish and English at once mixing her words when she has to rush words out from what her mum tells me
I did the RAC route finder, for me wells is 7hrs and over 300miles. If Dh doesn't come doubt I'll make it :( Too far away for me and 4 kids and even though I could bring my mum to help with kids, she can't drive. My Dh works 6 days a week too and gets every 6th wk off. Not sure when those wks are due over the summer, will ask him. Really hope I could come, but Dh wouldn't be up for meeting everyone, your all so lucky if your dh's will. I will keep an eye on the plans and send me any emails about it and I can try my very best to come. :)
Had my post natal shape up today, it's ok, not too hard. Met some nice mum's there, mostly first time mums, made me sad to think my baby days are over (she says with 2 10wks old's!! lol). But you know what I mean, sad to think that's the Womb closed for business! Trying to get Dh to go for the snip, I've more than done my bit and after 3 sections, no more abdominal op's for me, unless vital. They don't sterilise women up here during sections. He says he won't go! mmm, we'll see! lol
Babymad, yes, we got a couple of hours the other day together while my mum took girls to optitian to get ds2's glasses fixed. It was nice, but he was a bit grumpy after work! Your dh did look very proud in the pic and so he should such a bonnie wee boy he's holding in his arms! Can't wait to hear his name, my ds2 didn't have a name till he was almost 4 days old. Kept calling him ds1's name as he looked so like him as a baby. Hope ur enjoying the new baby feelings and cuddles.
Feeling so so tired and again envious when the mum's today said their babies younger than mine are sleeping all night, or for 6hrs a time..... my boys did that, but girls are nappers. During the day 10-30 mins here and there. Yet they made my out to be a liar by sleeping thru the whole hour class!! They do like music and I put MTV on in the backgroud to calm things, works sometimes!
Dh taken boys to swim lessons, so better go get tea on, if the girls let me!
Hi ladies, just a quickie. Right it looks like the last weekend of july is perhaps a good one to organise the wells meet up. I will be in Norfolk on hols then anyway so thats gonna be the only time i can get over there in the summer hols really. My dh would probably be up for tagging along if the weather is good and we can be on the beach. That way he can escape if he wants to but actually i think he would be well up for a game of footie with loads of little boys and dads! If the weather is crap i could suss out a soft play where again any dads can escape. If most dh's not up for the actual meeting, we can think of a different meet up point over there. For those who cant make it over there i am happy to get a second date in and meet somewhere more convenient to those who cant do July. What do you all think? Soooo my proposal is, email me on here and let me know your thoughts as to wells weekend july 28th/29th, or a second date and location that could be easier for you if that one cant be made, also whether dh's/kids are likely to be there and i will try and get some kind of plan together. Does that sound ok? X

Babymad- can you tell us about the homebirth? I can't imagine doing it here at home. Were the boys in the house? How far along were you when the midwife arrive? Do they 'clear up'? I hadn't thought of it as an option but I guess it is... Loving the pics of your new bundle and so glad you are enjoying the babycuddles :) You do have an amazing family.
Sorry quick rant as I'm upset. Dh is on a course in London. I had ds2 welcome to school meeting tonight and had to ask neighbours to babysit the older boys and I took dave. It went on longer than I thought so was worried about my neighbours with the boys. Ds2 as I have said before is like a two year old and hardly talks. I wanted to talk to his teachers but had to rush home. My father in law live half a mile from us. He never shows interest in
My kids. I was feeling sad about how ds is going to cope at school so phoned dh. Fil is pissing up in London with dh while my neighbours look after his grandsons. I can't talk to ds new teacher as I have to rush home. I just feel so sad fil is so bloody crap. That's all. No need to reply. Just a vent. You can't make people love your kids it's true. Still it hurts. My boys are amazing and he doesn't even know them. His loss
HUGE hugs maybe - could you phone the school and request a phonecall from his teacher or a seperate meeting?? Might be worth trying - DS1 was a VERY slow speaker he couldnt even ask to use the loo when he started in f1 at 3.5 he only said mummy when he was 2.5 and just very slow at communicating in general - i was convinced he was autistic and even now although he is clever he finds it hard to convey what he is thinking - his mind works faster than his ability to speak. He is a kooki little dude and i think possbily on a very low spectrum of austism but he has caught up - this year at school he started behind and all of a sudden something clicked his reading is outstanding now, he still struggles with his writing but oh my he has outdone himself. He is so lovely and placid and has an amazing imagination I still worry as i think he will struggle later with bullying etc but just to give you hope that sometimes it takes a while for things to fall into place - he also has lots of problems with ears nose and throat too!!!
Indigo - homebirths are amazing :D i had one with ds3 it was fantastic - you are best if you want to try one to let your mw know asap and they can book you in and give you a home visit at 37wks. It is so relaxing to be at home before and after the birth no messing around, it isnt messy at all - you will need a shower curtain and some old towels but literally I had no mess other than wet towels from my waters being popped as ds3 was born in the membranes. The mw popped my towels in the machine for me, they take the placenta with them, make you tea, make sure you get washed and changed etc and once all sorted leave to enjoy your baby! I have quick labours i rang in at 5pm my MW arrived just after 5.30 had ds3 at 6.30!!! Only one mw as the other didnt make it in time but she was amazing barely knew she was there. By 9pm we were sat on the sofa with ds3 asleep between us eating a wagamama takeout :D have booked in for a homebirth again!! ds1 is going to be there too!!! If everyone makes it in time scared this one will be even quicker!!
Right i should go try and sleep am shattered but i dont think i will be able to :( busy day tomorrow too and realised i dont even have any nappiesfor baby yet -god i am crap!! Better go get some!

Homebirths are a bit of a PITA to organise here I think. I've read that they're quite open to them in the UK. My MIL had a homebirth with DS4 and as far as I know all the kids were there - DH was only about 3 and MIL says he was right up close and fascinated in the whole thing!!
At the moment I'm looking forward to the 2 nights in hospital - here you get 2 nights for a vaginal birth and 4 nights for a caesar. I'm hoping to get some sleep - I'm ALWAYS the one who gets up in the night to sort out the boys :) You only share with one other lady and baby so its not too bad.
No sign of baby still - 39 weeks today! Its mad to think I'm only a week off my due date!!! But DS2 is still really poorly - really want him better. Taking him to doctors today as he didn't sleep again last night and want to rule out anything serious with baby due. He cried every hour and needed settling - so I was up every hour all night. So I am TIRED! Sods law I will go into labour today when I can't cope I'm so tired.
maybe - sorry to hear you have a crap FIL. Mine is crap too but he is the opposite - over-interested and constantly undermines me with the boys! Family hey! I'm learning lots about what not to do as an in-law! :)

HUGS for your DS hope the doctor can help its horrid when they are poorly for so long x maybe he has an infection?? DS1 would never tell me if anything hurt and would be ill for ages then it would turn out he had a throat infection or an ear infection!!
Been awake since 5am only got to sleep about 1am today is going to be looooooooong got loads on too! Meeting with therapist (she is sweet but crap all she wants me to do is tell everyone its a boy - which i wont do god even typing it reminds me and i think OUCH) then a party at lunchtime and I also need to go get nappies!! And then we are going round to see my SIL for the boys dinner - think she will tell me to leave them there but ds3 is a handful! Also she has just been left by her husband so she probably doesnt need my 3 being monkeys........
Hoping the washing machine people ring today to arrange delivery Come ON then baby can come ;)

Mind you I'm watching a series on great olmand street and the nhs can be amazing - some times. My mil is a pita but better that than fil and his total lack of interest. Dh also didn't answer his phone last night as he never does when drinking. I don't even know the name of his hotel. I'm mad at him too now but course can't see he's done wrong. Lack of sleep is not helping.

Kind of glad as today my therapist said i think we can really go any further so is stopping our appointments which suits me - i will be referred to a PND thing after he (eeeek i hate even typing that) arrives. Am so bloody tired havnt sat down but fx i will be sooooo tired i will sleep through being uncomfy!!!
