So wonderful! Congrats! I second what Atomic said about twins. Age is also a risk factor in addition to having conceived twins before. It is common to hyper O more and more frequently as you get older, if you have the gene. I hope they both survive and at least one is pink. :)

Omgness congrats sweetie! I'm so excited for you and I will be praying that you and both your babies are safe and healthy.

Thank you all! We finally closed on our house- I have a new job and now twins...
Oh yeah- cause to top it off- I lost my job two days before my closing...fantastic! Luckily, I was able to find something new and start Monday.
It's been a crazy weekend! Ugh! I'm super tired and nauseous but life is good either way.

Jewelle, just catching up, congrats on twins! How exciting, I understand you wanting to be cautious though.
I just wanted to say I just had a HT pregnancy where I was on crinone and lovenox and I had bleeding all the way until we stopped the lovenox about 12 weeks. I had a huge bleed and a little bleed and then basically some kind of spotting every day.
If you are seeing pink CM, this could be the crinone, it is sometimes referred to as Salmon colour, you can also get some dark brown blood mixed in. Just make sure to clear it out every day with your finger in the shower. It can really stick up there and I have heard of people having to go to ER to get it scooped out. This can also cause irritation and bleeding.
Good luck!

Hi Glory,
I'm glad someone has been in my shoes =) This is my second pregnancy on Lovenox, Crinone and BA and another twin- My first I had a few bleeds but we also had a vanishing twin at 12 weeks and 5 days :( I'm not sure if I should of been on higher dosage of Lovenox- when I got off crinone I had pink cm and light bleeds from 14 weeks till 16 weeks- it was super scary but it all resolved after 16 weeks. I think it might of been b/c I got off the crinone (cold turkey) at 13 weeks. This time we will wean-off till 15 weeks which makes me feel a whole lot better.
I have to wait a few more days before I start BA again- as I have had no spotting in a week (Thank God). I sometimes wonder if BA is too much but it worked last pregnancy- so just going to stick to the same regimen.
I know about that build-up, I take it out- hate that build up, and I agree that it helps with irritation- if you get that out!

Wow, congrats on hearing twins and seeing two heartbeat!
Pray they both will stick abd be pinkies!
GL!!!

Congratulations! I just finally had a chance to catch up with all this - twins! That's awesome :-) Hoping your get your little girls and both babies stick!!

So sorry I have been MIA! It's been a crazy April let's pray May comes in with better luck (excuse any typos) using iPhone!
Where do I begin?
Got a new job (yay!)
Got a new house! (Yay!)
Now the babies :))
I swear my pregnancy cannot happen without some drama
At about 8weeks 3/4 days I started to bleed :( not heavy but bright red- freaked me out and gotta sonogram that day! My DR said I only see 1 baby and I don't see a heart beat on the other- I think you experienced the vanishing twin syndrome! I was expecting this as I was told there is 75% chance this could happen again however she did say come back in 1 week and we will verify with the sonographer!
Due to new job I was only able to go today- I'm 10 weeks and 4 days and the sonographer says- what vanishing twin?? I see two babies with 170 bpm heart rate and measuring at 11 weeks 2 days! I about fell out of my chair :)) just happy my babies are good! Next week, I see the MFM and we will confirm the babies but for now it makes sense why I'm showing so much and sooo tired! Baby A super active and Baby B really quite but both looked really good!

My pregnancy just seems to be unfolding into a nightmare. On Friday, we had on NT Scan only to find out that Baby A was well but Baby B had what they called Anencephaly (the major absence of the brain) To the point where it was so apparent on ultrasound. Apparently that genetic disorder is very severe and only very few Babies survive, if pregnancy. I was given two options:
1. to carry on with the pregnancy until (full term) if we make it but Baby B if survives would only do so for a few hours and if not more than likely I have a 60% chance of not going full term b/c B would pass on his/her own and then endanger Baby A.
2. to have a 'selective termination' asap. That means the sick baby gets a deadly injection directly into the heart, through the tummy the same would happen as if one twin died spontaneously (vanishing twin) up to week 19 or 22: it would shrink- or reabsorb into the placenta. There would be a small risk of full miscarriage, but if the baby with Anencephaly- Baby B- died later in pregnancy, both babies would die.
I was wondering, if there is anyone else who went through a selective termination in a multiple pregnancy?
Given the circumstances we decided that option 2 is probably our best bet, so that baby A has a possibility of survival. Thinking of the words 'Selective Termination' make my skin crawl and I find myself praying for a vanishing twin syndrome- sadly. Emotionally, I’m devasted and sick to my stomach that I have to make this decision.
In addition to the SR procedure, I was advised to do the Chronic Villus Sampling CVS on baby A just to be sure it’s going to be okay. The Dr. said that once there is issues with one baby there are no guarantees to the surviving twin. This would be two invasive procedure and I’m worried about Baby A survival.
Baby A has a strong heart beat and looks really good on ultrasound and I’m so worried that by doing all of this I could potentially put my daughter/or son in harm’s way but I feel as I have been given no choice.
Does or did anyone else go through a similar experience? Thanks for all your help and prayers.

oh hun I am so so sorry. I have no experience with this but just wanted to offer you my warm thoughts and prayers. How scary this must all be.
-
I can't even imagine what you're going through, I'm so sorry. I remember a woman (on another site) that had selective termination, but not for such heart-breaking reasons - she had 3 embies put back and all 3 implanted, and she had one terminated. What a very tough decision to make, huge hugs to you...
