Yay girliedreamz. Hope you had a nice dinner!
I got AF for March so I'm here now.
Hello to everyone and congratulations to B's mummy and anyone else who has got a BFP xxx

Marika I agree with the others those cheats are little sometimes its unavoidable better to just write off as a cheat day!! And try and get back to normal the next day xxx I'm onto my third attempt after conceiving both boys first time could be my age as well five years older at 35 but its taking longer than I thought it would and the reality I might be here for six months has sunk in!!
Girliedreamz so glad you just made an attempt go nice dinner and wine!!! Fixed you get a BFP
Sorry you are here Sarah but happy to see you!!
Just realized we would be having a new year baby if we did conceive in April!!
Good luck anyone coming up to attempt xxxxx

I'm sorry to all the BFN, hoping April is the month for you.
we had an accidental unprotected attempt last night and I got a positive OPK today...so I guess we'll just leave it at that and hope for the best. Silly me I looked up my due date and I would be due right on Christmas!!
Easier said than done but I try not to worry about the cheats and just start over again. No worries. Wishing you all the best. :)
No news yet. Had another bloodtest on Saturday and waiting to hear back tomorrow. Still spotting so prob not good. I just need to know for sure and then move on. I hope it won't take too long for my cycles to get back to normal.
Have had a few cheats and a girlie nite out to cheer me up :-).
Not sure in which thread I 'belong' but will stay in this one and hope we can attempt very soon again.
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Xx
Fingers crossed girliedreamz! Sounds like a good night, what a lovely DH. ❤️❤️

He is just a regular GP. Hopefully it wont be him I have to deal with when the blood test results come through, hopefully it will be a more senior and helpful doctor.
Dont be scared of labour or a big baby. Babies will come when they are ready and the difference in weight will be negligible if one week 'overdue'. My son weighed 4.23kg, was a week 'late', I had no drugs and an easy labour and birth (thanks hypnobirthing!) I know everyone is different and all labours are different but I truly think that you will have an easier time if you are less scared. I was petrified but doing the hypnobirthing and the relaxation tapes made me realise our bodies are built to do this, your baby knows what to do and if you just go with what is happening you will be fine - and remember that most of us here are TTC our 2nd, 3rd or more, we wouldnt do it again if it was that bad :)
Thanks steph! It's strange, on the one hand I feel I'll be fine, as there is no reason I can't have an easy birth, and I even plan on a home birth. I think the fear is irrational, leftover from childhood. When I was 7 my brother was born at home and I was there, watching my mum groan. She claimed it didn't hurt...she also claimed getting my period and losing my virginity should be painless, and both are/were super painful for me. So based on that I am expecting labour to be most painful of all!
I do love hearing birth stories like yours (though all births even c/s interest me), especially for first children. I know it's easier the second time around. I definitely plan to look into hypnobirthing, wonder if it works on people who can't be hypnotized?
My hormones have dropped in the 500s so its over for this little bean.
Last blood test tomorrow to monitor levels.
Gonna stick around with you girls, although not sure if we can attempt this month yet.
Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your kind words and support.
Xx
Like Stephk, my 3rd DS was 4kg3 (9lbs7) and he did come out just fine lol
I have had my 3 babies at home and it was wonderful. It does hurt for sure but if you are able to learn the process of birth and understand the 3 stages, it isn't as scary as it sounds and as some tv shows/documentaries portrays it. You'll be fine. Your body knows exactly what to do. You will just need to 'let go' and ride it through ;-)
Not sure that hypnotherapy would work if you cannot be hypnotised but could be worth a try if only for the relaxation techniques xx
So sorry to hear about the levels Lavien. Hopefully you get get right back to it. Will be thinking of you!
I am thinking now I will O in april which is great news! I am expecting it to occur on the 28th or 29th! Looks like I will likely be attempting with you ladies. It is going to be a long month of exercise and diet. I do have a lot to look forward to though with Ds3's birthday party and Easter!
So sorry, LaVieEnRose! :(
maidentomother – my 1st ds was the easiest birth for me, so some people DO have easy first births! I had him at home, no meds, 3 hours and he was out. Easy peasy. ;)
Im sorry to hear that levienrose :(
Lots to catch up on ladies. Lots of is gearing up to O!! I am so gutted not to be trying but know its the right decision. Cd7 today so hopefully this cycle will fly by and I get another shot at the end of April!!
I am back on le now properly to loose the 5lbs I've gained. I think im going couch potato route now though as I just can't get motivated for exercise :(
Xxxxx
Oh, laVie! I'm sorry! Hugs!
maiden, I will not say it didn't hurt. It did. But it was NOT the worst pain of my life! It felt like a bad period (didn't know I was in labor for the entire night!) and the pushing him out definitely felt like the "ring of fire" it's rumored to be. However, my first birth, with pitocin and in the hospital, was SO much worse, pain-wise, and I had an epidural! Be forewarned, most anesthesiologists have a hard time with epidurals when you have scoliosis. Mine took 30 minutes to get in because he kept missing the spot and I kept involuntarily jumping when it felt like electric shocks up my spine.
I may POSSIBLY have a BFP, so, no offense, I hope not to join you guys here :)
Possibly?????
Maidentomother I am the same as you. Although I already have a son it will (hopefully) be my first natural birth. I have never even had a contraction! My son was breech so I had an elective c section. Not to be sniffed at and not an experience id like to repeat even though I could have another if I wanted to. I am also more scared at the thought of birth this time!! x
Sorry la vie en rose that sucks. Hugs!! Hope you have lots of support I had a chemical a while back and I was really down about it thinking of you xxxxx

Yeah, possibly. It's a REAL squinter (so light that I won't bother to post a pic) and the test itself was bent, so it took almost 25 minutes for the pink "fog" to clear up so I could read it. It could very well be an evap line. I'm not holding my breath, in any case, but I am a bit more hopeful!
I'm 9 dpo right now.
Sounds promising lillith x

LaVieEnRose you are in my thoughts, so sorry to hear that. :( Hoping you don't have to wait long to try again.
So do you have a BFP Lilith? I'm curious now!
I've had two natural births, the second one I used hypnobabies and I definitely recommend it. My labor was so relaxed and peaceful. I'm hoping for a home water birth this time around. I second that thought that if labor was that bad, a lot of us wouldn't be here trying again! :)
Now that the attempt is over I'm so nervous! Hoping I don't see AF's ugly face in April! :)
So sorry La vie en rose :-( Thinking of you!
Lillith - wow, that sounds really promising! You just have to take a new test tomorrow and post a picture! :-)
Lavie, I'm so sorty to hear that. I so admire your positive attitude, and I hope this loss means you get pregnant all the more easily when you next O.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with me! I just love hearing about home births. And 3 of them is just awesome! (Though any birth is amazing.)
Rosie, I am excited for you to finally try. I have read the A/M/J sway thread and I know you've been planning for ages.
Girlie, that gives me hope! OMG, I hope I'm like you! I can only imagine how fast your next birth will be.
dreamingofwin, I'm sorry you won't be trying this month but I am optimistic that your dr visit will have good results. Would you like to try clomid? I think it's awesome you're considering a VBAC.
Lilith, thank you for your honesty. The worst pain I've ever experienced was the sounding for my IUD. They shoved this thick rod up my virgin cervix. :( The second worst pain I've had has been due to menstrual cramps. I've had 3 times that were so bad no amount/combination of high dose opiates/tranquilizers helped and I just vomited/cried/screamed for hours. Yeah, that bad. I will not be getting an epidural. One bc of the scoliosis issue, two the side effects, three I'd rather have IV opiates if possible. I've heard of nitrous/laughing gas being used and wouldn't mind that either. So your first was induced? I will definitely consider induction if I go late. I have heard pit is awful though. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
What brand is the IC you used?
Willow, yay for another happy birth story. How I wish I could be hypnotized! It sounds like we will be testing around the same time. Do you know when you Oed exactly/have a guess?
I did an attempt 3 hours ago. I'm starting my O pain right now so hopefully it works out timing-wise. Looks like my EDD would be Sagg/Cap cusp.
Maiden I tested OPK this morning and was negative, so I'm assuming it was yesterday sometime. Cross my fingers we both get a BFP :)
Ooh hope this month is your month, maiden! I was induced because my water was leaking, but not broken. I've since learned that midwives just give you a pad and take your temperature every 4 hours if this happens, they don't jump to the drastic measure of induction! Ugh, I'm healed now that I had my amazing waterbirth with DS2, but I would LOVE to erase DS1's birth from my memory! It was traumatic.
The brand of IC I'm using is Blue Cross? I have no idea. They were super cheap, and came bundled with OPKs. My afternoon test came out negative, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow's POAS to come to any conclusions :)
maidentomother-- I've had 2 home water births as well! LOVED them and couldn't imagine having a "dry" birth LOL! My first was actually easier than my second. From the first contraction till the birth was 9 hours, but the first 8 hours were completely painless and I continued on with normal life! I had my first intense (transition) contraction 55 minutes before DS1 was born! My midwives arrived just 10 minutes before he was born and at that point I was already 10cm! He was born in 2 contractions (head, then body) and the first thing out of my mouth was "wow, that was easy!" So you can definitely have a great first birth! I think being at home and in the water (and having an intact water bag till I was fully dilated) is what made it so easy for me. I did Bradley Childbirth classes when I was pregnant with DS1 and HypnoBabies for DS2. You don't have to be able to by hypnotized to do HypnoBabies. They teach YOU how to put yourself into a state of deep relaxation. With HypnoBabies, you are able to walk around, talk, and change positions all while remaining in hypnosis. As a doula, I recommend Bradley for first time moms (because it covers sooo much info) and HypnoBabies for subsequent births.
LaViEnRose-- I'm so sorry about your loss. I hope the spotting ends and that you can try again soon. (((HUGS)))
I had a home birth, I wanted a water birth but my second decided to come 2 weeks 6 days early! The tub was one our midwife passed around to her clients and the people who had it called us the day he was born after he was out. Lol I literally had no diapers and had just barely got our home birth kit delivered. Plus my labor was only 3 hours long with my second so not much time to get a tub filled. I'd love to do it at home again, it was so blissful to be home!
My periods can be pretty bad but I would say that the contractions I was having were no worse than period pains. The pain stepped up after my waters broke but even then, it really wasnt as bad as I would have thought. Even when DS was coming out, yes that was the most painful bit but I remember thinking that I had read about a ring of fire and I didnt feel like I was on fire if that makes sense!
I do think its a good idea to look into it even if you cant be hypnotised as the relaxation tapes are so lovely, I used to listen to them every night before I went to sleep and I went into such a relaxed state. If only there was a similar tape for TTC!
LaVieEnRose - so sorry to hear :( - hugs to you
Lillith - sounds really promising, everything crossed!
I have just had a call from hospital to say my my hormones levels from this am blood test show they are up again to same level as last week. A consultant is going to call me back. They kept asking if I'm feeling ok - which I am (or was until they ask!). I'm a bit confused now and a bit scared. What is going on? It's really torture - I'm not hopeful for a baby but am a bit anxious to know tht all is ok and won't need any intervention . Will update as soon as I know more
Hm that is strange. I'm sorry you're going through this.
Oops double post
laVieEnrose sorry that you are going through all of this I hope that you will have your answers soon
Lavie, maybe twins implanting at different times, and you only lost one? I hope you find out what's going on soon.
Steph, I so appreciate hearing about your experiences. For all you ladies, does excitement to meet bub help you power through the birth, especially as a FTM? I know for me personally, I tend to have more abstract fears, but when I'm actually in the moment of truth I deal just fine, usually.
I keep waiting for Lilith to post! 10DPO is the day most early testers will see a positive.
In other news, I didn't get a temp rise today - I got a temp DROP, ruining my so-far perfect chart pattern. I guess it must be the Vitex. Still having O pain though so maybe it's a stubborn eggy...ugh, desperate to have my post O chicken cheat!
My cat has been super snuggly. She is a love as is but was practically glued to me yesterday. Usually she splits her time between me, DF, and her chair, but for some reason she was all about me. Hormones, maybe?
LaVieEnRose I am so sorry to hear of what you are going through and I hope you do not have to wait long to see the consultant. Fingers crossed it will be positive news.
maiden - yes the excitement does help, also by the time you get to that point you are so over being PG, you want your body back and you dont care about pain you just want that baby out and in your arms! I used to see it as pain with a purpose, yes its not a picnic but the pain is brining your baby to you. In fact one of the affirmation is something along the lines of with every contraction, it brings your baby closer to you, or something like that.
Wish I had good news to report. Sigh. BFN this morning. Yesterday's had to have been an evap line. I'm all crampy and waiting for AF now. Ugh, guess I'll be joining the TTC in June ladies :(
"Pain with a purpose"
I would say that's exactly it. I would say my second labor was more painful and intense than my first because it was so much faster, 3 hours instead of 6. And I had those definite waves of contractions the second time, the first one was mostly back labor and felt all over the place.
The sensation is like throwing up but throwing down, if that makes sense. Everything in your body is saying out, out, OUT, so that's really your main focus and like throwing up, it is a huge uncomfortable relief once the baby is coming out, I had all these plans about going slower once I started pushing but that went out the window, I honestly didn't even care if I tore as long as the baby was OUT, lol.
Sorry to hear Lilith :(
LaVieEnRose-- so sorry that you still don't have any clear answers. I still have hope for you though!
Lilith-- sorry about the BFN, that sucks. Was it with first morning urine? I know that some women get better results with second or later urine.
