I didn't have my one serving of red meat to prevent anemia this past month so I'm looking forward to a big gourmet burger and fries myself! Or maybe a steak...or some roast lamb...or some venison cutlets, mmmm.

Well ladies, I am not sure what to make of this. Warning- TMI! I just had a bout of loose stool, out of nowhere, and afterward I noticed a tiny pinhead dot of blood on the TP. I washed my hands and checked my CM, I ruled out the location, and it was pinkish. Not sure if the BM irritated my cervix, or if there is something else hormonally going on.
This is crazy! Well I am not sick so that is ruled out at least. And it is not food poisoning.
I am definitely taking tonight off of working out! I'll do a double tomorrow, when my mom comes over to help me with the boys.

The whole clove. I usually slice a thin piece off around the edges because you want the inside of the garlic to be in contact. I usually do one clove a day, but sometimes I leave it in longer than a day. Sometimes it comes out on its own when you have a bowel movement. You'll taste garlic in your mouth after inserting it! It even works with super stubborn YIs that Monistat, etc doesn't work for. I get YIs only when pregnant and I only use garlic now.
Tara-- I "think" I see something! I'd get yourself a FRER and test again tomorrow. I don't even test with ICs anymore. The FRER always shows a clear answer!
Update- well the red tinged CM was from cervical irritation from the BM and has since stopped. Still having AF type cramps though.
I am somewhat relieved. Still don't know what to make of this. I guess we will find out in a few days!

Hey ladies. I'll do a proper catch up tomorrow but very quickly I did this opk at 7pm tonight.
Thoughts? Should I have another attempt tonight? We BD yesterday morning.

I wouldn't attempt again.

Mars- That isn't quite positive yet. Did you already have a darker test?
Tarasue- are you testing this morning?
XX- Look at your chart- gorgeous! I'm really thinking BFP for you this month!
maiden- mmm my mouth is watering!
2boys- I'm going out to dinner tonight and won't be thinking about LE at all- I won't eat much all day to make up for it.
Ladies I was thisclose to buying another BBT before we went on holidays for a week right after the D&C as I had lost mine but decided not to. But now I have NO clue if I Od as I only have temps starting from CD15. However my temps are still quite low and not really rising so the chances are good that I haven't Od. An OPK today was very negative. I did have a positive a few days ago BUT I just can't really trust OPKS. Normally CM has been my go to symptom for guessing ovulation but I have had none this cycle! Now if I was very very very lucky I O'd when we were on vacation and I had a day or two of mucusy spotting. But I will have to wait a few more days to see if my temps go up (I've also been bad about temping and just temping whenever I wake up and using the temp corrector) and if I was unlucky I am still a few days or a week away from Oing which will be awful because DH leaves for a week of skiing Fri night and won't come back till Sunday night the next week. I so hope to O before Sat if I haven't Od yet (which I don't think I have)!!
Mars- if pink is your priority then I wouldn't attempt again:)
Tarasue- i feel like a second line is catching my eye. You most definitely will be seeing more clearly in person. I am anxious for you to test again!!
XX- I think maybe you should test early;) just like maiden said, that way if a bfp showed up you could decide when o day was!

Thank you ladies for all of your support. I guess I am of the mindset that a BFP is not in the cards for me. I say this, not because I am sad or depressed, but because my hormones were so out of wack. I feel that it will take a few more weeks of acupuncture to turn the ship around so to speak. I am totally ok with this. I feel blessed to have gotten my two boys- that is what I wanted/wished for! I just never expected to love this whole mother thing as much as I do now. I was never the motherly type growing up, except with animals. My only doll was our ferrel cat (I did not like dolls) who loved being dressed up and carted around in my stroller, seriously he loved it! Sorry, I digress [emoji5]️!
I really have made peace with everything and am no longer yo-yoing emotionally. I was just wanting to know O day to begin counting my LP. Now that I have a range, yes I will test and post the results. Only for you ladies though!

These are mine, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Saturday I had a clear negative.
I feel like we are getting caught up in the subjectivity of the colour of the line sometimes. Given my symptoms I clearly ovulated at some point in the past 3 days in spite of the imperfect line colour. I conceived with one attempt in October with tests that looked identical to this- then and now I haven't worried much about the quality of the line, it's less stressful and less OCDish.

I totally agree 2boys! I think you had BD at the right time! I always remember what Atomic says, "BD from the FIRST positive. It doesn't matter how long it takes to fade. You O 8-48 hours from the first positive. The fading is just the time it takes for the LH hormone to clear your body and is in no relation to how soon/late you'll O".
FX for you 2boys!!! I am secretly hoping you will get a pink, sticky BFP! Oops, did I say that out loud [emoji6]!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2 boys- I think it can also be quite specific to each of us. For me if my test isn't as dark as the control then I'm not Oing. However I have multiple LH surges and my normal levels are high. Personally this is why I think BDing every 4 days or every 3 if things are taking awhile is the easiest strategy as OPKs can be so difficult to use for some of us. I mean my tests even differ quite a bit depending on whether it is morning or afternoon.

This is a pic of OPKS taken morning and afternoon from CD17 to 20, the pic isn't great but it just shows what a pain they can be. Temping makes things so much easier I think. Sorry the pic is huge I tried to change size but it didn't work.

Mars, I would NOT attempt 2 days in a row. Wait until it's been 4 days since your first attempt.
Ladies, I gave the exact same garlic recommendation for YIs several pages back. Apparently no one read it. :(
2boys, your Sunday & Monday Wondfo OPKs look just like my positives. I say my positives bc I don't get true positives, but I get 1-3 days of almost positives and then my lines start fading again. So I think your BD timing was great. Not everyone gets positive OPKs.
XX, I think your little bit of blood could very well be implantation. I think IB is rare, but when it occurs that's what it looks like. Your chart continues to amaze! You have every reason to be hopeful IMO.
Junie, I have an extremely erratic schedule and temp anywhere from 9 am to 5pm! But my temps are quite reliable bc I always temp after my biggest block of uninterrupted sleep. I think you can trust your temps. Btw, I use those same blue handled OPKs (the top 3) and my positives look like your top one from CD17. But unfortunately I have noticed those OPKs are finnicky - if I dip 2 tests from the same batch in the same urine, I often see a substantial difference in how dark the lines are. I just can't find good OPKs here in Germany.
Yes for sure junie! I can only rely on them bc I have very obvious ovulation, with so many reliable signs other than an opk.

I personally change the garlic every night. I use 3 big cloves each cut in half so the juices have plenty of contact.
If you rub garlic on your foot you can taste it in your mouth. It's crazy!
I have SO much EWCM today that I'm wondering if I really did O. I haven't had so much EWCM since before I started swaying. but I do feel warmer and my temp rose...
I can't always use CM as a guide like some you ladies. Mine seems to vary when I get any and the consistency. The only thing I can rely on is temping.
Before swaying my CM was much more reliable.

Cm, yes, that's the hot topic today. Apparently you need to use the Creighton Model and measure the properties of it in a scientific and standardized way. I'm back from my appt and that's what I learned. She was nice, but basically she told us we need to take classes on charting the Creighton way and do that for a few cycles. She says opks aren't as good as charting and I don't need to use them. She suggested Fertile CM, without really asking what I'm taking or what I've tried already. I was not impressed. She probably wasn't impressed with me either since I refused a pelvic exam. Seriously, on a first meeting? Um, no. And no way I want to ruin my chances with o this week. I asked her what she would learn from it, and it didn't seem worth it. And in answer to my other questions, propping hips does nothing and Preseed can help you with bding if you need help to get going, but it doesn't carry the sperm.
So no blood tests until we've charted cm the "proper way" and then she might look at my hormone levels. What happened to a thyroid check? I thought that was standard. I got nothing, just some business cards for other people to see.
So sorry your appt was a bust sageviolet! I would be a little upset they wouldn't do bloodwork, what does that hurt them??? Keep you chin up!

OMG! Seriously! WTF! Yeah, I think you made the right call. Is there anyone else you can see, or is this the only place your insurance will cover? I would try someone else before continuing with that office! I would be pi$$ed!
Hang in there sweetie! I'm [emoji120]that you get a BFP with all my blue dust!

Same here. I've been charting most of my adult life and my CM is not helpful in predicting O. In my twenties I had so much all the time, and since swaying things have been very erratic. The only thing I can usually rely on is my CM drying up and turning creamy, but that can happen on O day, the day after O, or 2 days after O so even that isn't exact. Only temping is truly reliable for me.
sage, I am SO sorry your appointment was so pointless! Unfortunately I have found that good drs are rare. Many of them are idiots, have bad attitudes or both. I think drs should listen, be sympathetic and open-minded, and open to suggestions. If the patient pays, why should they care if we want bloodwork done? Often I think it's an ego/power trip thing; they deny bc they can. I definitely wouldn't be returning to her. Maybe an RE would be the way to go, especially if you can see one recommended by someone you know and trust?
Are you using PreSeed every time you BD?
I saw a Dr who once taught Creighton and she didn't believe in taking temps at all ( before I started temping ). I found Creighton so confusing and finding temping so much easier to work out when I ovulate. Even she found it difficult to work out when I ovulated based on my cm charting. She sent me for blood work and internal ultrasounds and now that I'm temping I realize her timing was completely off. Unfortunately based on my experience I'm not a big believer in that system...

Coconut oil is also great for yeast infections. Make sure you get organic. For skin yeast infections, I use tea tree oil with it. Vaginally you can use a tiny amount of tea tree or lavender or both. Mix really well with the coconut oil & refrigerate until solid. If you have bullet shape ice **** trays, you can put plastic on the tray & make oil bullets to insert easier.
Be very sparing with the essential oils (like 1 or 2 drops to 1 tbsp coconut) until you know how many drops are comfortable for you.
If you're pregnant, look into the safety of the essential oils during pregnancy & only use if you feel comfortable. The woman I got the recipe from used them during pregnancy, but only you know your own comfort level.
Btw, I guess no one had an opinion on if the OPK I posted a couple days ago was positive? It was this one http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...57524e2571.jpg

Sorry, I never saw it earlier but it looks positive to me. What do you think?

Looks positive
I'm out today [emoji22] my temp dropped this morning and I've since started spotting...
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sage- I am SO SO sorry. I just read up a teensy bit on "the Crieghton Model" how absolutely silly. Have you ever read Taking Charge of your Fertility? Normal charting is more than enough for Drs to get a good sense if you are ovulating, etc. Do you have any other options for a different Dr. with your insurance? Do you think the cards she gave you are also for people who believe in the Creighton Model? As then I wouldn't want to use them. What a disappointment.
Tarasue- Did you test??
Sunbuny- I can't believe your Dr. didn't believe in temping. That seems so off to me. I'm sorry that your temp dropped :(
Blueeyedguys- Sorry I somehow missed it when you posted before- I would def call that positive.
XX- Can't wait to see your temp today!
Maiden- I can't believe you have so much EWCM do you think you O'd yet?
I'm so worried I won't O before DH leaves. Honestly if he was skiing near an airport I would fly out for a quickie and fly back home but he is like 2 1/2hrs away from one and he would have to give up a whole day of skiing which would be silly. OPK definitely negative today though and doesn't look anymore positive then yesterday so I don't think I am gearing up to O anytime soon.
Junie- is there any chance you o'd already? Your opk for cd18 afternoon looked pretty positive to me. Or do your temps say that was a no go?
Blueeyedguys- that's a positive to me;)
Sage- going to the dr and feeling like it was a waste of time is the worst! Especially when you have such high hopes for getting answers. I would be searching for a new dr!
Tarasue- I keep looking for an updated pic of a bfp from you. When will you test again??
Hope everyone else is doing well!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
QueenB- Theoretically possible but my temps will have to go up quite a bit for me to think so right now it is too early to tell.
Tarasue- I really want you to test and get a nice big BFP!
Sunbuny, thanks for sharing! I'm checking out when the Creighton classes are and how much it costs, but it would probably be hard for us logistically with care for dd. I ordered a book about it from the library, and I'm hoping I can figure out some stuff from that. Sorry about your spotting. *hugs*
The dr I saw yesterday was an ob/gyn who is also trained in NaPro. Honestly, it was my first time ever seeing an ob/gyn since as you may remember I don't get regular check-ups and I used a midwife for my homebirth. I've been thinking about it, and it stikes me that she never asked much about my periods, like about how long or amount of bleeding or quality. My acupuncturist I saw last summer asked all those questions! Isn't that normal stuff to ask?
Yeah, I could see someone else, we have lots of ppl around who are in our insurance network, but like Maiden says, it's so hard to find someone good. My biggest complaint with our insurance is that the dr directory doesn't tell you which ones are bad, lol! I had such a time finding someone decent for dd. Anyway, so you think I should look for an RE? What are some things to look for? Not that I have much to go on, just a list of names and addresses, and maybe I can track down a website if they have one. If anyone on here can recommend someone in or near Baltimore, MD, please tell me!
Regarding Preseed, we've tried with and without, no bfp, not much difference in quality of bding. I mean it feels good, but we can still work up to a really good time without it.
blueeyed - Yes, that was positive!
Junie - Yes, I read TCOYF last summer as well as the Billings book (and Shettles book although I don't agree with it upon further research). I thought TCOYF was great! And yes, the cards were specifically for ppl who teach you how to do Creighton. As I said above, I'm going to opt for trying a library book and perhaps keep looking for someone who will test me. The dr involved in my Lyme miscarriage tested me right away for thyroid and was about to do the progesterone spit test. Anyway, hope you got your bding in before the ski trip!
Sage- She didn't ask you anything about your periods? I think that is very strange. I unfortunately don't live near you but you should try asking about a good Dr. in the Baltimore area in a separate post maybe on the main swaying board as I imagine we must have a few members who live near you.
Lovin your chart XX!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blueeyedguys- I'm so sorry I missed that! I would definitely call that a positive! Did you have an attempt? FX you caught the egg with a pink sperm!
SageViolet- If it were me, I would see someone else. I wouldn't feel comfortable seeing someone who disregards my thoughts on my body. It's your body and you know it better than anyone! I too am shocked she didn't ask you about your cycles. In the meantime, I hope you get a BFP!
Sunbuny- I am so sorry AF showed [emoji22]. Be kind to yourself and make today a cheat day. That's what I do to cope. Yes one full day. Then I pull myself back together and tighten back up. It helps.
Tarasue- PLEASE POAS!!!! I'm seriously hyperventilating! [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]!
AFM- well my temp is still nice and high. Higher than normal at this time. But I take it as great hormone production so I'm happy! I'll test on Sunday, the 8th in case I Oed on the 23rd or 24th. But if AF shows- it's all good! October baby would not be ideal given DH graduate school schedule and work schedule. There is never a perfect time though! On the flip side, there are a lot of October birthdays on both sides of the family- it's a fertile month, and I need all the help I can get!
FX for those waiting to test! We need some more BFPs!!!
