Sunbunny was your induction invasive? I had an induction with ds1 and it was awful! (Gel, balloon catheter, water broken, and a lot of Pitocin!)
Hoping a third delivery will be different in general.

I had an epidural before they started the induction. It was actually pretty easy. No gel, they broke my waters, I had a catheter but easier than my first, natural very long labor. My baby did get distressed towards the end but was born shortly after.

Hi XX, just curious... have you started the low everything diet again? I don't know if it's because of the breastfeeding but I am really hungry! I can't imagine skipping breakfast and snacks again.

I've started with eating LE foods and over the course of the next two weeks, I'll slowly cut out snacking. I'll have to do three meals a day though while nursing such a little one. Plus, I'll have to stick to the upper limits for everything.
I'm a little worried about it because the baby weight is flying off me so fast already! I'm only 15lbs from my goal weight and 10lbs up from my pre pregnancy weight!

XX maybe the Atomic Fertility diet would be better short term until your little guy is bigger? I don't know what Atomic would say though.
Pebbles, so exciting that you have a date! I hope it goes smoothly for you.
I'm 38 weeks and change, and still feel like the baby is not planning on coming soon. Despite that, I had an induction massage today in the hopes that she just needs a little coaxing and may come before the holidays get really hectic. I'm trying to schedule my induction for 12/28 (40+1), which I told my midwives months ago, but they couldn't even request until this past Monday. However, despite many conversations about it, they never informed me that they would want a cervix check before they would fill out the paperwork, so I didn't push to have my appointment early in the week and won't have a check until tomorrow. With such a busy time of year when everyone is trying to have a baby before the end of the year, I will be really annoyed if I don't get in due to this procrastination.
Sorry for the vent- this just came to my attention today so it's still fresh on my "oh crap" list.
So, despite all in my previous post, I'm having a baby today! My amniotic fluid was low so we are inducing and I hope to have her in my arms by dinner :)
Woohoo Tem! This is awesome! I hope things go smoothly, and I cannot wait to see pics of your sweet baby girl [emoji8][emoji175]!!

Hey ladies, I went MIA for a long time but I quietly lurked. Congrats to everyone on their new additions!! And good luck to the ladies still waiting. Adam Daniel was born scheduled induction on 12/16/15. He's my tiniest baby at 6lb4oz. First thing I said was "he better still be a boy" as many tears that I cried over him not being a girl, I would have been gutted if he didn't come out "still Adam"

Huge congrats Smarston! So good to hear from you! I'm so glad everything went well! I love his name [emoji4]!!
Your third boy ended up being your smallest and mine ended up being my biggest! Aaron Michael is already 11 lbs, and he is only 4 weeks old [emoji16][emoji4]! No wonder why I'm already wearing my size 4 jeans- he's taking everything I've got [emoji4]!!

Hi ladies! I'm so sorry I didn't come back to update sooner- hospital life is pretty hectic! They tell you to rest and then someone bugs you every few mins lol. We finally got discharged this afternoon and then it was all about dealing with the fallout of having been gone from my boys for a few days :)
She is here! Ember Josephine, born on 12/17/15 at 7:26pm, weighed in at 7lb5oz and 19.25" long. Induction went really smoothly, and she was born 8 hours after I arrived at the hospital. I'm still a bit in shock over it all, and sometimes I forget I'm not still pregnant hehe. Thanks for the positive vibes!!
Smarston, congratulations!
Yay Tem!! I'm so glad things went well, and I LOVE her name [emoji4]! Once you get settled at home, I can't wait to see pics!!
Yay!!!

Hi ladies! Went on hiatus for awhile....life is crazy busy. Just wanted to pop in to say congrats to all the girlies that had their sweet babies! So happy for each and every one of you.
Just an update on me (for any of you that may remember me): Had the sweetest most perfect baby boy on Dec 10th. He was delivered via c-section (3rd one) since he was also breech. He was 7lbs 7oz and 20" long. He's gaining weight like crazy and is a great nurser and sleeper. He's seriously the most amazing little thing on the planet and I couldn't be more in love! His 5 older siblings are obsessed with him! We had a wonderful Christmas with our new addition. All is well and I can't wait to do it again!...in a year or two.
Hope all is well with the rest of you! Take care!
Congratulations Fivebabies! Of course we remember you! I wondered how everything was going. I'm so happy for you. What did you call him?

Huge congrats 5babies! I'm so glad to hear from you- we could never forget you! What is his name? It's wonderful that all of your children are smitten with him! My two boys are too with Aaron and it just warms my heart [emoji4]!!

Girls. How are your newborns sleeping? Charlotte loves her mummy so much that she really only settles at night if she is sleeping next to me. I've never co slept with my others and they really warn against it here in Australia. I tried resettling her for 2 hours last night (3am) before bringing her back to bed where she fell asleep immediately. Just after some ideas or suggestions about what you do

Sunbuny-DS co sleeps next to me most of the night. If I get him in the rock n play for half the night, I feel good about myself. I've noticed that mine likes to be on his side, and snuggled. So, I put him in slightly on his side, and tucked in.
5-congrats on your sweet boy!! I hope to start HT in a year so hopefully some of us will be pregnant together. My boys love their new brother. Constantly fight over who gets to hold him..I'm wondering when his shiny new toy phase will end

Ooh, I would have loved if my DS1 would've settled co-sleeping! Alas, he NEVER slept except for when I couldn't too :/
This little guy sleeps in his room in his crib or in the bassinet in the living room during the day. I need him to sleep in loud conditions now so when he is older he can sleep anywhere. Things will be crazy this fall when DS2 starts preschool. Aaron will need to sleep on the go or in less than ideal conditions. I'm breaking him in now!
He's a great sleeper and nurser. We lucked out this time around!

Thanks ladies! We named him Drew Thomas. :)
Sunbunny- We have actually co-slept with all of our babies. This one is no different. He likes to be snuggled up and he barely wakes to nurse and then goes right back to sleep so I actually get MORE sleep co sleeping. I tried to get the 1st baby to sleep in his own bed but it never worked out and I was exhausted. Never tried it again. I feel like since the beginning of time (before cribs etc) cave women slept with their babies. There's something natural about it to me. Easier to protect them. I like that I can hear them breathing etc. I have severe anxiety (especially after having a baby) and it helps me to feel content and that baby is ok. Sounds crazy, I know but it's what's best for us at least. I hope you get it figured out!
You girls all have great taste in names
Its funny. I know it's natural to cosleep. I admitted to the community nurse yesterday that it's the only way she'll sleep sometimes and she started in with sids, suffocation 😢
Last night after feeding her, changing, comforting we tried for over 2 hours to get her to sleep in her basinet (next to my bed). She just got more upset. I put her next to me in bed and she settled within minutes. I'm pretty careful. I'm sleeping well but I'm obviously aware she's there because I wake in the same position. Blankets are well below my waist (its summer here anyway). Are you guys made to feel terrible for cosleeping?
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
I really appreciate your input. Makes me feel much better about things 😊
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
We are not made to feel terrible here regarding cosleeping, but they do make you aware of the risks.
I say do what you need to do so you and baby sleep well. There is a risk with anything, but you're more apt to miss something if you're not sleeping well.
You're doing great! Don't let anyone make you feel any different!

Thank you. So awesome to get another perspective. I do feel more rested today thankfully.

We told our ped what our routine is...she said "well, we aren't perfect, you're aware of the risks but you do what you have to do to survive" last night, he was in the bassinet for the first half of the night..I feel accomplished. He's 2 weeks old and in there half the night..I think that's pretty good. Another two weeks, he might be in there all night. Do what you have to do. And I agree with 5, my anxiety is a lot better when I can hear him breathing

There are always going to be a difference of opinions and there will always be someone that tells us we are doing something "wrong". Listen to your mommy instincts! You know what's best for you and your children. Not a single one of us can tell you. I don't get a lot of scolding about co sleeping but maybe I'm too old and just don't care what other people think anymore. Hahaha. After 6 kids and all alive and healthy, I'm pretty sure I've figured out what works for us at least.
I've actually also been reading that co sleeping can help reduce SIDS since baby can hear mom's heartbeat and feels safe so can relax and breathing resumes normally. It makes me feel better too. Win/win. For us.
And I think that if baby sleeps some in the bassinet and some with you that's a great balance! We've never been able to swing it but we all have different needs. Go with what feels right! You're doing great mama!
So it's 6am here and last night I got Charlotte to sleep on the basinet all night long no crying. I think that's that only way I'm happy for her to sleep there. I cannot persist through her crying. She's too little. BUT she woke every 3 hours. That's not entirely a bad thing because she's getting more feedings (trying to look on the bright side ). When she sleeps next to me she actually wakes less. I feel exhausted today that's for sure!
You girls are awesome! Thank you so much for your summer xxx

Sun, I'm in the same position with co-sleeping. In my opinion, you can reduce the risk incurred with co-sleeping by being prepared to do so before you are sleep-deprived or half-asleep, thus avoiding that middle of the night, last resort decision to "just do it". I co-slept for a short period with each of my first two children, and it didn't stop me from being able to move them to a crib once the newborn stage was over. I might not sleep as well as I do alone, but it's better than being up half the night repeatedly trying to nurse, then settle baby, then fall asleep myself.
I hope everyone is doing well! I have some photos to share but have to decide where to upload them... I used to use tinypic but sometimes that backfires with reused URLs lol.
Happy New Year, ladies! I hope everyone has a wonderful year ahead!

Temerity where did you post a picture of your princess? (Didn't see anything)
After 40 hours of labour (needed to be induced at 38 weeks) and 3 pushes, our little girl Simone Zoya was born. So in love with her. Ds1 and ds2 have yet to meet her. That will be interesting.
So beautiful! Huge congrats [emoji4][emoji175]!!
