It did look positive when I first looked, then now Im questioning....I'll do another one soon.
Thinking of DTD tonight and then again when it's REALLY positive because I want so badly for this to be our month!

Wishing, if you follow the link in Atomic's signature to the index, you will find a lot of helpful links to get you started on the diet. The main things for blue I believe are to snack frequently, and eat a diet full of nutrient-dense foods with high fat and protein, and to have multiple attempts in your fertile window. As others have said you would need to be on the diet for a little bit before it will work but if you really want to get pregnant this month then best of luck.
The answer should be "no" since the test line still looks lighter than the control, but I have to say that if it were me I would probably count that as a positive because I never, never get darker than the control, and I would expect my test to be stark white the next day, lol. So if you typically are able to get a true positive test you might want to wait and keep testing, but if you're anything like me and you maybe have a short surge that's hard to catch, you might want to have your attempt tonight. My wondfo OPK's got here today. I suppose its time to begin POAS. It's been a super long weekend for us. We moved and now I have a huge mess to deal with and I'm super tired.
This swaying business has really showed me how much of a control freak I am *sigh* and here I thought I had that under control. If things don't go according to plan or we have a hiccup of sorts, I lose it, take it out on DH and end up moping around the rest of the day. I didn't realize how much I really want this to work. For some reason I'm afraid I'll have trouble getting pregnant and I just want to be sure I do everything right.
Can anyone relate?
That's how I was when I was swaying for my DS3 (I don't like saying failed girl sway, because he is so special to me [emoji4]!). I was awful. Try to relax but don't make an effort to do so, otherwise that will just make you more on edge.Quote:

Cosmo, I think you might have met your match. I'm super type-A and want things to go exactly as planned, which they rarely ever do. I'm working so hard on just relaxing and going with the flow, but that goes against my instincts and it's soooo hard for me. Totally get you... :kiss:
Cosmosis I think many of the pink swayers struggle with this. I know I do. ... At least the good news is, being a control freak may help you sway blue! ;)
TTCing is enough to make anyone go bat S&!t crazy! I think it will help your sway Cosmosis! I forgot you were swaying blue! I was SO uptight when TTCing my DS2! I had a miscarriage and then it took 2 more cycles to conceive him. I wanted "my" boy so badly. I SO hope you get your baby boy!

It's not stressing that sways blue, it's the type of stress that comes from trying to control things beyond our control that we feel the need/pressure to control.

There's an essay on this somewhere in the index talking about being a "Mary" or a "Martha" and the Trivers-Willard hypothesis. If you think that reading about being a control-freak would just make you be more of a control-freak about not being so much of a control-freak, I would advise you to just skip it and go watch a movie or something instead. ;)
The underlying point is just try not to get all obsessive about every little detail especially if you're swaying pink, but there's no point in worrying too much about your stress level as that's counter-productive.
... Speaking of obsessing, this 2ww feels much longer than any other 2 weeks in the history of waiting for things. Please someone talk me down off the ledge of wanting to POAS tomorrow as I'll only be 9dpo and have zero symptoms. This wait is murder. :poas:

I had zero symptoms too. Heck, I only have a couple- losing weight despite eating normally and thirsty. That's it.
I'm hoping you get your BFP soon, along with all of you lovely ladies! No one should have to wait so long!

@maxim, In my opinion, most stress sways pink because it deteriorates the body slowly but surely. When I got pregnant with DD, I was in an abusive marriage, I smoked and had lots of coffee. All of those things cause constant high levels of cortisol, which means the adrenal cortex is on overdrive and makes the body go through much of its reserves quickly. Eventually the person will encounter health issues like fatigue, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases and so on.
The kind of stress that sways blue from what I can see, is not really a stress per se, it is having to do with personality. The personality will obviously affect how a person handles certain situations therefore it affects how they handle certain stresses. It is the competitive/dominant/controlling edge that would sway blue.
It varies alot though, so I wouldn't pay much attention to it. Personalities can be changed as a person develops throughout time

erin - maybe no symptoms is a good thing? With both DD's pregnancy, I had absolutely no symptoms, nothing! Nada! These past 2 months (one of which I wasn't even ttc), I had literally every single pg symptom but wasn't pg. Like everything - sore, heavy boobs, nausea, fatigue, etc. I am starting to think that (for me) no symptoms might be the best! ;)
Hi, thanks for the reply. I've pregnant 4 times in total with one one living girl. We definitely want to try asap. I will O most likely on the weekend. I wont be devastated if we have another girl but would really love a boy. I'm not sure what the other 3 babies were.
My OPK's are starting off dark ya'll.... I'm nervous. I'm gonna start the CBD OPK's tomorrow evening. I'll show some pics tomorrow after my morning test.

Good luck ladies!! My CBD is giving me low reading, my Easy@Home is giving me close to positive. Augh I hate opk's!
I tested with a first response this morning (goodbye, $12) and got a very faint BFP that showed up after 3 minutes but still before 5 minutes so I don't think it was an evap line. Cautiously optimistic and hoping for a sticky bean. I'll test again in a couple days, or I might ask for a blood draw tomorrow since I have a doctor's appointment anyway.
(I guess I should've been in the January 2WW thread, lol)

I tested this morning (CD 13) and got a flashing smiley. Had an ultrasound this morning and my two eggs are only 13mm and 12mm. They think ovulation is a few days out. Ugh. More waiting!!

I have this tiny doubt that it could somehow be a false positive because the FRER are so sensitive, but that's impossible, right? My Wondfo HPT were totally negative at CD 14 after miscarriage (sensitivity of 25mcg), so by CD 25 after miscarriage any HCG must be a new pregnancy even if the FRER is sensitive to something ridiculous like 8mcg, right? Right???
