Thanks atomic for your answer.
It's the high in carbs swaying pink that got me confused. I thought it would mean low in carbs could help sway blue.

My AF isn't super consistent as far as time of day. Usually morning/day. BUT mine is weird in that my flow is "almost" always non-existent when sleeping. (Almost meaning that I can't risk not wearing a pad at night for fear of waking up to a godfather reenactment, but it's almost always bone dry [emoji23][emoji23])
I have 1 boy and am working on a pink sway.

No that's not how swaying works - it's not always "do one thing for pink, do the opposite for blue".
A diet high in carbs means low in fat and protein, and likely less nutritionally balanced. Also, high carb diets for most people end up making blood sugar crash and end up low.
A diet low in carbs often means low in lots of nutrients that carbs provide, and also low carb diets can = low blood sugar. they're also oftentimes lower in calories than a diet that contains carbs. It's probably better for blue than a high carb diet but it's not as good as an HE Diet.
A diet with a good balance of carbs, protein, and fat means that you're getting all the available nutrients, and protein + carbs keeps blood sugar up longer. Protein + carbs = most boys conceived.
I don’t think I ever gave feedback on my experience on this, so here goes:
Have since I started my period (I think I was 13) – had AF start late arvo at the earliest, but more often than not, in the middle of the night (total PITA – all the more because I have endometriosis and the pain was so strong that I couldn’t sleep!).
I started swaying early 2017, and started AF in the mornings within a month! I conceived our DD3 (so didn’t indicate blue for me alas) , and I haven’t had a real AF since her birth over a year ago (I started PPAF for a couple months when she was 6weeks-4months but then 4 months sleep regression and intense nursing hit – so have been co sleeping heaps= lots of close contact/nursing- and haven’t had AF since!).
I’m kind of hoping to get AF soon – more so I can have plenty of time to see what pattern my cycles follow before TTC – I am feeling close to ready to wean but boob is my only real parenting tool at night so I can get sooome rest haha

For both my boys and as far as I can remember, my AF is there when I wake up in the morning so I don't know exactly what time it comes. I'm swaying pink and have been on the LE diet for 2.5 months. Just started my AF 2 days ago and it seems like it's a lot lighter and I'm almost done. Normally I have to wear overnight pads for days and AF lasts ~7 days. Another note, my current cycle was delayed by 1-2 weeks on top of my already irregular cycle. Not sure if that means anything but I hope I'm on the right track for a girl! I was thinking my AF was changing bc maybe I'm not getting enough nutrients or not eating enough?

How interesting! For as long as I remember my period started in the morning, or at least by lunchtime. I have two boys and swaying pink. After 2.5 months on LE diet and cardio my period started in the afternoon this time around. It’s also lighter and shorter than normal (4-5 days instead of 6-7). My cycle is also getting shorter (from 31-32 days to 26-28). I’m hoping I’m on the right track!

I've had medium to heavy periods with noticeable cramps since I started. My periods were always in the morning or afternoon and I have a DS.
When I was on LE diet I noticed drastic changes in my periods being very light flow and no much cramps and it started after 4PM, getting more in late evenings or night every cycle I was ttc pink & on LE. The month I got a bfp, AF started right when I hit the bed at around 11:30pm (never had em so late before)
Hope there is some truth to this.
I am 30+3 today, will surely update when the little bean is here... FX for pink
Oh and in terms of not eating enough - we usually see changes like delayed ovulation and super short LP FIRST when people have trouble conceiving due to lack of adequate nutrients, so if you're not having that kind of change, just look at the lighter period as a perk LOL
Interesting observations! I started LE diet in September and by November I had my period starting at 6pm but then the last two cycles they start around midday again even though my diet is still the same and I lost a bit more weight since then. Do you think it means anything at all? My cycles are also alternating, one month 26–27 days, followed by a 32 day cycle!!!

I have had the same happen to me. I always had my periods at night. Starting HE diet, it moved to the mornings or midday. But lately it had been back to evenings... Though it's hard to tell because I think BD regularly and a bit roughly can start AF sooner sometimes. So hard to say if it would have come in the mornings if we didn't do anything or not. Although I hope it doesn't mean my body went back into pink territory because I couldn't follow HE 100% at the time it started in the evenings again. Of course I still wasn't going back to LE and not loosing weight, rather, gaining it.
What changed though and didn't go away was that I had symptoms of O now and could feel them very well whereas before, I couldn't tell at all when I was nearing O physically, though my calendar said it was fertile window.
^^^ You guys, this is a definite thing - sex can bring on your period a bit early so if you're swaying blue and are suddenly getting it at night because you're having sex more often, that is NOT the same thing as it coming at a different tme of day due to your sway. I would not worry about this one bit!
What if I’m swaying pink and having sex 2-3 times a month (hardly often) and my period goes back to midday starts again after a month or two of starting in the afternoon (since LE diet started)? What do you think it may mean? Am I not doing the diet well?

I don't think it means anything and you shouldn't read anything into it. This thread is simply meant to catalogue an interesting observation some of us are having, but there are tons of exceptions to it and I don't want anyone to read this and get worried about when their period is coming. It's normal for there to be fluctuation.
Agreed. There are so many things that can start or delay your period, even with those of us who have them so regularly they could time it, that it's hard to read anything into it. Sex can start it, stress can delay it (by delaying O), medication, illness, shock, a sudden effort, a fall... You can never really tell if it was THE hour or if something gave it a head start.
came across this thread and thought id update since i posted with both my team green pregnancies.
my first post, af hadnt changed during sway (starting mid/late morning as it always had) but started at night for the first time the month i got bfp..baby was a boy.
second post, pink sway, af had been coming at night for a few months but then came in the morning the month of bfp..baby was also a boy.
since that baby was born all my af have come on at bedtime and are lighter (no swaying or diet changes) it seems to be the new routine and i'll be interested to see what happens if i do get another bfp :)
Im attempting a blue sway after 3 girls.
I started my period in the middle of the night Friday. It literally woke me up! Has never happened to me before! Could this be a sign my blue sway is working and that this month will be a really good time to try!
I thought I had a good attempt last cycle but hoping this one will be the perfect one!!

I can't say if it's meaningful for any one person, it's just one of those interesting observations we keep seeing, so that's why we have this thread going. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Sometimes I stumble onto these posts from people who were just 1000% sure they were having a sway opposite and then found out they were getting their DG. This poor gal drove herself (and me TBH) bonkers analyzing symptoms and was inconsolably convinced she was having a boy. But nope!
Symptoms don't predict gender, ladies!
this cycle I go for a walk for about one hour
after I get home about 40 minutes at night my af started
Does sport affect period starting time ?!
Yes it absolutely can trigger your period to come at a different time of day. That is very common and wouldn't indicate anything about swaying.
