I'm doing ok, ready to be done being pregnant, but not sure if I'm ready for another baby. It's DS3. He is SUCH a handful right now, I just don't know how I'm going to manage it all. My older two will be fine, but honestly they fight so much, I am constantly playing referee. They also still like mom to get stuff for them...I'm thinking I'm just going to have to tell them they will get their own snacks and drinks and blankets, etc., and also just let them duke it out with the fighting! Lol. As you can see, I am nervous about this transition! Since we are moving soon, we did decide to keep DS3 in his crib, and just keep baby in the pack & play. That will help tremendously with bedtime and naptime, so at least I will keep my sanity where that is concerned. No DS3 getting out of bed (for now at least). When we settle in our final place, we'll set up the nursery furniture for DS4, and that's when we'll transition DS3 to his big boy bed.
We are still in limbo about our move...DH's new work team want him there ASAP, but the HR end of things is being slow in processing all the paperwork, etc. So because baby is due so soon, we probably won't get our house on the market till after he's born, and in our price range, houses are moving a little slower...like 2-3 months. So, looking potentially like summer before we move. I hate not knowing, but I kind of have to accept it.
Anyway, that's my update, I hope you are all well!
I can so relate to this post. Our ds1 is being really good lately (usually our "challenging" child) and ds2 is being a typical 2 year old, but its just recently gotten worse, and hes 2.5 now, also easily as big as our ds1 who is 4.5, and almost as heavy (16.5kg). Hes been such an easy kid I knew it was bound to happen eventually, but its terribly inconvenient when 37 weeks pregnant in 40+ degree (Celsius) heat and hes throwing a tantrum, turning into liquid man on the floor and refusing to get on the changing table (hes also refusing to toilet train, but i'm just ignoring that for now, enough is about to change with baby arriving and ds1 starting kinder). I AM SO OVER BEING PREGNANT TOO! But also a bit scared for the caesarian recovery, given its a good 6 weeks of pain and at lest 4 weeks not being allowed to drive. Its going to be "interesting" dealing with ds2's tantrums with all that going on. I am extremely concerned about the transition period.
We are also in the same boat re planning our future and where/when to move. DH finishes qualifying as a builder mid this year, after spending 4 years retraining at a mature age. When he finishes his current work will offer him the same deal they offer all guys that qualify, and its not a stable or good deal. So we are planning to move on, and move closer to the larger town/small city near us. BUT that depends on him finding a better job than the one he'll be offered here, and at the right time, in a place that would be commutable from the areas we would want to and be able to afford to live. Its killing me to not be able to plan where, when, budget etc. Mid year we will have a 4 month old, and 3 and 5 year old, and we want to move asap after that because ds1 is going to be in kinder this year then first year of primary school next year, and I would prefer to be able to give him at least a few months in a new kinder getting to know the kids that will be going off to school in the same area. Or at the latest i'd like him to start school where we plan to be, not start here then move. Its a big enough jump starting school when you havent moved!
So anyway, that was long winded but I meant to say I completely identify with whats going on for you guys and wish you all the best!
To make things fun, dh has done a number on his back, and cant lift much at the moment, which should be SUPER AWESOME when it comes to me having a caesarian. NOT
