Aoii, come on baby! :)
Her name is Hailey Marie. I am just waiting patiently. [emoji5]️ I have had tons of pressure and pains I was thinking I had to be dilated more. but no contractions or anything else and dr said she was still pretty high up. [emoji53]
Very pretty name :)
I'm still pregnant myself. I am 40 weeks 4 days now. Blood pressure Is starting to elevate so I'm scheduled to be induced fri march 6. (I had to beg the DR at hospital last night NOT to do induction then!).
Scary part is that since I've had a cesection and then a vbac an induction comes with all kinds of risks. Going into labour naturally would be the best Case scenario but I don't know how long she wants to stay in there! It's my birthday today and I felt like maybe she wanted to come today.... lol. So far no such luck. I'm waiting until fri to see if she comes naturally before then. Also midwives want me to try castor oil... Argh. .. I just want to meet my baby!
I thought castor oil was a no-no as it can make baby poop before birth?
I've been induced 3 times. Hate it. I'm determined not to be this time although it means I may end up 10 days overdue :(
Sorry to butt in but castor oil will give you a really powerful uncomfortable bowel movement (or even several). That is how it can potentially kick start labour.
For those who are at their due date there are really helpful ways that acupuncture can give labour the gentle, natural nudge that it might need.
Xxxxx
Ya I'm kinda on the fence about It too. I mean either way she will be here fri or sat if induction takes a while so I can wait. I just can't believe my 3rd baby is the longest I've gone overdue. Lol. Babies have a funny way of making their own schedule!
Robin honey I sympathise she is too comfy in there!! Hope she comes on her own, Xxx
Happy birthday Robin. I hope your little lady arrives soon, without assistance. Sorry, I forgot how overdue are you now?
Robin I started my last labour with castor oil & it was the most appalling experience of my life. I was 42+1 and desperate as I had fought off induction for as long as I could (I was also attempting VBAC). Even at that late gestation my baby didn't pass meconium but it made for a really unpleasant labour pooing liquid the whole time. Awful. It got to the point that my body was still pushing like I was having a bowel motion but there was nothing more to come out. I had another caesarean despite all this & I ended up painfully constipated for 2 weeks. When I finally went it was like having a baby the other way, a huge hard lump that looked far too big to have come out of where it came from. Sorry for the TMI but I truly wouldn't recommend it. I've had friends who have gone as long as 43 weeks without any issue, so I would just continue to refuse induction & try more gentle methods to induce labour. Your midwife will be feeling the pressure from the hospital system to have you induced due to hospital protocols. If you start to struggle fighting the "system" regarding induction, or questioning whether your baby is ok, maybe contact a doula for unbiased support.
Boysway--I'm 40 weeks 4 days. Friday I'll be 41 weeks.
Wow thanks for sharing your story primal. That's crazy! I would definitely not be loving all that pushing and blockage after etc. I don't think I will be doing the oil. Just going to rest. I went in to hospital today for nst and ultrasound. They estimate she's only 7 pounds 5 oz. I'm happy with that bc I thought she was much bigger! Bc of my blood pressure and just not feeling well (headache/dizzy/nauseous) I'm still going to do the "gentle induction" Friday. I'm aware it probably will be a very long drawn out experience. Especially since they won't be using hard core drugs like pitocin unless they have to.
But I'm trying to stay positive and pray that it won't end on a cesection after this whole journey. (Not that anything is wrong with sections at all.. I just would have gone a way diff route.. and she'd be out by now!)
Aww, you poor thing. My last two were each 2 days over and three days over, it's like torture. Wishing you all the best xx
Robin, I was induced with pitocin with ds2, I was really not wanting to be induced at all and was scared of it but it actually was a very easy delivery, so much easier than ds1 with my water breaking 2 days early! Hope she comes soon! Happy birthday!
Robin I will be thinking of you Friday! Best of luck honey and your girl sounds wee! I hope mine is that size at 38 weeks 6 days when I have my section....my boys were both really big! Xxx
Aww thanks guys! This is why I love this website. So helpful and you guys rock! I'll keep you all updated. Xo
Robin I had a GREAT experience inducing with castor oil and delivered my 2nd completely naturally. I also took castor oil tablets so there was no bad taste. My first was 10 pounds and I was worried about having another 10pounder so took the castor oil at 40 wks and delivered the next day. If you want to know more just PM me.
I think something which might have helped is I took a very small dose. I did go to the bathroom a few times that night but nothing crazy ( better than some nights after eating something like White Castle ;) ). Good luck with whatever you decide, I hope baby comes soon!
Happy bday robin! Hope your baby makes her debut soon, without the help of induction!

Question! I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, and since yesterday I been really really really tired. Have a headache, and feeling very nausea. Im also cramping like I'm having my period until I lay down and than its gone(I'm sure that's bh). Baby is moving a lot/normal. My last appointment was Monday and bp is normal, everything else is fine too. My next appt is this upcoming Monday. So my question is, is this normal? I never had this is the 3rd trimester with dd-so this is new to me, and is making me nervous.

Hey Lenhu it's totally normal pre labour stuff! I too have it really bad like I'm going to get my period, intense BH I'm only 35 weeks but it started about 33. I think the more kids you have the more ' ready' your body gets to go into labour!! Pain in the bum though right!! Xxxxx
Kitkat, that's makes me feel better. With dd i cramped all the time so I know it's just bh. It doesn't bother me, but I was really concerned about the other things. I just thought to myself, whao! This is the feeling i would have before a positive pregnancy test, not this late in the game. Haha especially when this pregnancy has been a breeze compared to dd. I just hope little man stay put a until his scheduled CSection b/c my whole family is out of town.

Lenhu deft. Mention it to your MW or OB just to be on the safe side but I would say that is what it is! Hope your little dude stays put! Was your DD early? What's your c section date? X
Ah sunflower, I came to check for baby news as I was thinking you must be due soon! Huge congrats my friend! He is absolutely gorgeous!! :) you must be so proud! :)
And so glad to hear of your beautiful boy too LaVie!! I have been thinking of you both loads these last few wks, so glad to hear you are both well with beautiful new bundles! :)
Congrats to everyone else too xxx
Thanks Kitkat, my dd was 5 days late. And my CSection will be March 24th. I will be 39 weeks and 4 days along by then. I will definitely talk to my OB this Monday. So far I'm feeling great this morning! =D

It's super normal Lenhu! I have always had periods of nausea, exhaustion, and crampiness as the third tri progresses. With my last two, weeks 34-36 were really bad for feeling like that. As your body gears up for labor/delivery, all sorts of weird things start to happen. Hopefully baby sticks in there til your c-section., and that the yuckiness passes.
Thank you so much hotdogs, you don't know how much I needed that! I always need reassurance for everything! I'm sure if you ask my poor husband, he's sick of me asking. All I have to do is stare at him for a little bit than exhale and say, honey do you think- than he cuts me off and says, it's normal, you and Ian will be fine, so stop worrying. Lol.

I'm soo out of the loop. I saw you mentioned having as c section kitkat, I had no idea, is there a specific reason? Anyone else having a planned c section? It's exciting that you know the date you will deliver :)
She is beautiful Robin! Big congrats you must be sooo stoked to have her in your arms! Making me impatient for mine :) ditto love a good birth story!
