As for me, I have been feeling emotional and angry since last night because on the day of O, we waited until late evening to BD and I'm pretty certain the egg was released between 3 and 5PM. I KNEW I should have insisted on AM that day, but the OPK wasn't so clear and I wanted to follow the boy BD pattern to a T.

I had a strong gut feeling that this was it, but I ignored it and THAT is what is getting to me. Now I'm afraid my BD pattern isn't boy friendly u_u even though we did EOD and 5 attempts in my fertile window (2 before, 1 on O day and 2 after). I am having difficulty getting past this anger and a stirred the pot with DH last night since he wasn't being cooperative that day.

I totally, totally empathize with you on the need for control, the reluctant recurrent thoughts to timing, etc. But just know that there are blue swayers on here who got their boys even with ONE attempt, so not getting the perfect recommendation is still ok.

Plus, that late evening BD definitely could have freshly caught that egg -- the egg usually releases and has 24 or so hours to catch the sperm. The whole concept of the old timing theories was based on this, even: either have some old sperm waiting for a girl, or have some fresh sperm RACING to the just released egg to get a boy (it's why there was the old O+12 recommendation).

@throwaway - I'm so sorry. Another one so close to your last one is terrible :(
@cosmo - I teach everything ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap etc. My first attempt will be next cycle (AF will come towards the end of the month). It means I will have been back at work for about 3-4 weeks by the time I O.
What are your suggestions to try and counteract this? I plan to continually keep snacking throughout the day.

Yep , I changed few things , Im trying to never get hungry , I have to set a reminder in my phone every 3 hours to snack LOL
And I didn't buy the coconut water yet :(

When I conceived my DS I was a teacher in school , I had to walk a lot , standing on my feet for hours , and I constantly snacked every few hours , I made sure that I never get hungry!

Yes BUT, capacitation. lol. That is what was really making it difficult to accept. BD on the evening of O means that sperm probably didn't even get a chance. Only God knows. I feel a bit better about it. I'm not on a limit or on my last baby, but I truly deeply want a little brother for my sds. I think of the big picture you know? *sigh* I know I have a good chance, so it isn't over or anything, but letting go of control is difficult for me haha.

The only thing I can suggest is to REALLY up your calories because you'll be burning alot also. The quality of the calories will matter greatly, so alot of nuts, avocados, eggs etc. Have you asked atomic? Maybe she has some good pointers.

lol, how do you usually eat eggs? Try to cook them in more palatable ways.I really enjoy a salmon omelet, you can barely taste the egg because I really mix all the salmon in there, so it tastes like fried fish almost. I also eat 1 or 2 of my eggs in my muffin so I don't taste it.

Thanks guys. My endo switched my thyroid meds and we'll reevaluate my levels in 4-6 weeks, so it's condoms for us since no sort of natural family planning seems to be working out. I feel really disappointed, because I could just feel I was pregnant, was right -- and though I KNOW darkness of lines doesn't mean anything -- these were really solid BFPs for several days before I started to bleed, and I had BFPs for at least two days of the bleeding before finally getting BFNs. I looked up everything ever on vanishing twin syndrome in case this was that kind of situation :(

I should feel lucky to get pregnant so easily, but I also am realizing that my successful conception rate is now down to technically 33% :/ Each loss somehow drives my need to have my boy even further...


Re: eggs. I'm a big egg fan -- literally ate eggs alllll throughout pregnancy, which I credit to my DD's smartness haha. To switch it up, try making mini quiches or frittatas in muffin tins. Throwing an egg or two into hot pasta and mixing it creates sort of a carbonara base where you don't taste the egg, but then you can add whatever sauces/mixes.

AF is delaying every month since I started the supplements !!
Bloody B vitamin , messing my cycles out LOL , although it's not that much on the prenatal and with folic acid !
