Due December 2012! Christmas Babies!

Hey, pearl! How are you feeling about twins? I am getting used to the idea but still shocked! My doc said you shoot for your due date, but on average they come at 36 weeks! I really want to make it as long as I can too!

dloui - yes, 37 weeks is full term. Many twins are born before that. However, I have also known a lot of women who delivered right on time or even late with twins so you never know. In a healthy pregnancy where all is well, there is no reason they have to take them out early, it is just that many women go into labor a little early.

Amari, it was VERY shocking for me, but i am getting used to idea being mom of 4 kids:) I also have two boys, hoping for two girls this time:) I really want to have them at least at 38 weeks, which would be December 1. Also, i have a strong food aversion and bad nausea after 5pm. Just got myself zofran meds, I am really hoping it will work. And my twins are fraternal, i will have my next u/s on June 5 hoping for good nubs shot, can't wait to find out the gender:) What about you, when is your next u/s? How do you feel?

Mine next u/s is June 6, but we're not finding out the gender so I don't want to look at that area! I am pretty sick, I eat all day long and take zofran, but my insurance is being stingy and only will give me 12 a month and I just picked up an rx for reglan which I know doesn't work for me. hopefully they will dish out some more zofran soon. my neighbor finished chemo and gave me the rest of her zofran! so nice of her!

You twin ladies are fortunate in that you have two shots for your DG. You're also very brave. My first appointment is tomorrow and if I found out I was having twins I think I might freak out! I know DH would.:rofl:

edited to add: I do wonder why I'm so fat, though. Seriously I can't fit into any clothes except things with elastic waistbands. Not a good look for me.

In my case, i do not really have any cravings or appetite- very strong smell and food aversions to a lots of my favorite things :( I am almost 10 weeks along and my stomach almost flat, but my boobs are HUGE 1 1/2 size up. I did gain 4 pound since my conception. I am not planning to gain a lot of weight cause i am 5"2 112 pounds now, small frame for twins. But i am hoping to have them after 38 weeks :) I feel great in the morning, but after 5 i have bad nausea almost every day, sleep helps a lot.

So my first visit to the doctor was today and it was....uh, strange. The nurse kept 'teasing' me about my age. But that doesn't matter. I thought I was going to have an ultrasound and I was really disappointed when they told me that I wouldn't have one until Tuesday. The same nurse who was teasing me brought in a handheld ultrasound machine and showed me the baby! She said she wasn't supposed to let me take a picture, but she let me anyway. The baby was extremely active, bouncing around everywhere. Too cute! Here's the pic:

So I'm getting another cold ugh, so far this pregnancy has not been very good to me, I hope it gets better :(
