The ultrasound tech said I ovulated on the left but that's no guarantee either way.
You might be feeling movement, I had an anterior placenta with ds2 as well and I'm sure I felt him by now. It probably depends where the placenta is, mine was covering the whole front of my uterus at 13weeks it might have been off to the side a bit last time.

Lizzie - im shocked your OB told you gender based on HB...my DS1 was 167bpm and my DS2 was 136bpm.....both at complete opposite ends of the range! But i totally understand what your saying about preparing yourself for another boy - its kinda like a defense mechanism. In hindsight i should of done that with my DS2 but like bythe****** i was convinced it was a girl because i used shettles timing...if only i had found this website then! But yes, my boys have a lovely relationship and bond and hopefully whatever gender joins them in 5ish months will hopefully settle right in :)
have you had any scans yet? nub shots?

Lizzie - fetal heart rate is *not not not* an indicator of gender!!! I honestly can't believe your OB said it was a boy based on heartbeat.
Here's a link to an article on IG that blows that theory completely out of the water: Fetal Heart Rate ~ Gender Prediction
Look at the graph - if there were a correlation between gender and fetal heart rate there would be two separate lines (one boy and one girl) starting at two different points, and there would be little/no crossover between the two. There are no lines that can be drawn anywhere in this graph as there are colored dots all over the place and therefore no correlation. You're not out of the running for a girl yet so don't completely throw in the towel yet!

Hi girls. Thanks for keeping my hopes up, but maybe it is dangerous? haha. I know HB is not a good indicator, but she wasn't even taking a number or counting. She just was going by what it sounded like. Does that make sense? Of course, she was getting a feeling of the rate by listening (and I love your 2 sons were at opposite ends, dreaminginoz). My mom said before they had sonograms her doc claimed he was running 90% correct basing gender on heart rates.
A small part of me knows it can still be a girl, but I think that I am just trying to prepare myself. I was happy to hear you are all glad your sons have brothers. There is something so sweet about brothers. I only have sisters, but I did tell them maybe the secret is just the same gender because if they have any sort of relationship that I have had with my sisters... it is so worth it.
Dreaminginoz, I only have the close up head shot I posted before (the skull theory fiasco). I told the doc I didn't want to know the sex. (It's a different doc from my regular one.) I know I need to stop this business! That was my last appointment till the gender scan. My OB said to call her when I find it because the other doc won't put the gender in my chart. :) I go to see her in 2 days after my scan anyway. Anyway, I will simmer till my scan and now it is time for you girls to really find out!!! YAY!!

I wanted to say... I came across shettles right after I was pregnant with my first. I "knew" from the timing it was a boy. So then I started trying the shettles timing method for this one, but was not getting pregnant. As we were trying I came across IG and then this website. (For whatever reason I stuck with this website mostly.)
This was the first month I abandoned a cut-off and I got PG immediately. I didn't even think I was going to get PG because I goof'd and did the repHresh gel thing only 8 hours before our attempt. Atomic said 24 hours before or it will kill off everything. Apparently not! ha.
I was skipping breakfast and going really well on the IG diet. I was 10 lbs thinner than with the attempt with our first. I was on aspirin, folic acid, losing weight, hubby was biking more, I made him take a hot bath before, it was his 2nd release of the day, this attempt was at night, other was in the morning... drinking peppermint tea. We just did everything opposite of the first! It sounds like a decent sway, non? I just wanted to feel like I did all I could.
I just have an athletic build and am almost 6 feet tall. I figure that is what is working against me? (I know plenty of tall girls have boys.)
Babygirl has her sway posted... is there somewhere you others have yours?

Um I never said that, I tell people to use RepHresh 8,12,or 24 hours before.
If memory serves you were doing a lot of other stuff to sway and sometimes when you are doing a lot of other stuff, it is best to stretch the RepHresh further out before TTC to give yourself a better chance of conception.
People can and do get pg doing a crapton of jelly and stuff, I'm just trying to balance that so it is not taking people 2 years to get pg like it did for some people on IG. :)

Babygirl, I just re-read your sway. So good!! I was anxious the day after our attempt... (It was my birthday, for whatever reason I have anxiety or birthdays as I planned a get together with friends, etc.) I don't know what that was about, but I just couldn't stop it.
I see you did aci-jel and rePhresh right before your attempt. This makes me feel better! When I read atomic's post I was a little worried I had deformed the sperm or something. ha I wish I would have gotten my hands on some aci-jel, but it was hard here in the states and I didn't want to pay so much just for shipping. And wait months for it to come!
Anyway, I wished I would have prayed more. I go to church and am a religious person, but for whatever reason I felt that I could have prayed more. I guess I should trust that God has a plan, etc, etc... but if this makes sense I just felt I was doing all I could and then I left out the most important thing?? :)

Lizzie - using gels right before an attempt is not going to like, hurt the swimmers and cause birth defects or anything like that. The evidence/stats don't back that up. It's safe to use gels right before the attempt. However, using gels right before your attempt will greatly decrease you chances of BFP and I knew that. I was totally OK with and expecting BFN that month when we made our attempt.
I was a little anxious on the day we DTD but that won't "ruin" a sway. Timing (Shettles) doesn't sway. It's been thoroughly debunked.
If you want to prepare yourself for a boy there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that you still have a chance at getting a baby girl and I think it's too soon to completely write yourself off. Even if you had done nothing to sway, or even swayed *blue* you'd still have a chance at a girl. :)

Hey Atomic, sorry to mis-quote you! I read so much on here and then of course confuse things!! Also, this wasn't something I asked you directly, you could have been suggesting it for someone that was having trouble, wanting to cut back, etc. I just thought I remembered reading it and then for some reason it stuck with me. :) Sorry!

By the way, I saw your are going for your 5th boy sway!!! I love that you are going after a boy! :) Good luck!!
Any reason you can share about why you want another boy instead of a girl?
