I doubt it since he only wanted 2 kids anyways, but its nice to dream at least until he says no way lol!!
You haven't lost your mind. :) There are so many of us that did the exact same thing.
I am 4 weeks away from an nt scan and I wish I could make the time go faster! My gut says its a boy, but if I get lucky and it IS a girl, I am dying to buy girly stuff. Diapers, bedding, outfits... All of it!
Mrshonyez lol you haven't lost your mind at all that's how I felt when I was pg with ds3 until he was born and my feelings calmed down for a while but it was still in the back of my mind most of the time. xx
4 is good ladies..
Lol thanks ladies, that makes me feel less crazy!! I'm not sure if he'll go for it, although not to sound bad or anything, but he is really good about giving me the things I want (which I honestly don't use to my advantage, I don't like getting things for myself and always feel guilty especially if it involves money) so I think he might once he knows how badly I really still want a daughter. All he wanted was daughters so we will see in the future... I am 100% happy this is a little boy though! I feel sad seeing other little girls, but that doesn't change my feelings about this little guy one bit! I'm truly ok with it :) I'm actually even getting excited about having my 3 boys! Not to mention not having to spend much since DS2 just turned 1 ;) I may be biased, but I feel I have some handsome boys so I'm sure this one will fit right in! Hope we can agree on a name soon though, but at least we have plenty of time still. Sorry for rambling on lol!
Thanks ladies :)
I really hope I haven't upset any1 tonight the last thing I wanna do is ram my news down your necks!!! I totally understand how u feel mummy, when my friend told me she had a girl I cried because I honestly thought it would never be me, but to my suprise after 2 boys and no sway I'm expecting my long awaited daughter!! Please don't loose hope, you all stand a fab chance of getting your dd as you all swayed hard!
I have my fingers crossed for you all
lots of love xxx
mrshonyez - you are just awesome!!!
Honeyz- thats how I've mentally prepared myself for this pregnancy, if it's another Ds I want to do pgd next time around and I know it prob won't be for a few years so we can save up money since I'd have to be done nursing, but it makes me feel like my dream isn't over so I can be happy for this baby no matter what.
I just talked to my normal dr , she has 3 boys and didn't know about my loss til today when I ran into her. She told me she really wanted a girl too with #3 and understood but that she loves all her boys but her third whom she wished was a girl is one she loves on the most bc he's so cute and cuddly. I thought that was cute
Well I took vitex for 2mths then stopped for a mth as it gave me headaches, which is the mth I fell pregnant! I did no diet, we just had one very drunken night on holiday (i had O aswell) and boom pregnant with a girl! I did burn lavender alot, had a salt lamp and wore a rose quartz necklace xxx
Hbp I'm sure you haven't hurt anyone's feelings. Gd is a awful thing and isn't helped but other people getting their dg but I truly don't feel that with any of you ladies on here and hope we all get what we want but if we don't then I know we're all here to support and comfort each other. Much love to you all :p xx
Dang! I did vitex for a few months but my cycles were so messed up, so then I did soy isoflavones + antihistamines and got preg the second month of trying that and dropping most of the LE Diet except for my normal vegetarianism and trying to skip breakfast sometimes. A lot of people have had success with vitex with stopping it and getting preg the next month! I keep wishing I had just kept up with it, oh well.
I love hearing that your sway didn't include vitex the month you got your bfp! I didn't use it at all -- the month we conceived, I did soy isoflavones and that's about it. Well, except for our unintentional 5 day cut off lol, but I don't believe timing sways. We just thought there was no chance for us that month! So it's encouraging to see someone who is having a girl with a light sway!
Congrats on the healthy bean Spinning :) It must be such a relief to have seen the heartbeat.
HBP i am so happy for you, we are on opposite times so i woke up this morning to read through about 8 pages of excitement, this is so much better than being in the ttc threads! Your daughters name is just so pretty, im sure you cant wait to go get her all the pink stuff :) Congrats again on your successful sway and the daughter you have been wishing for.
I just told my kids about the baby. My oldest was getting nervous because I'm always sick and he thought something was wrong with me...love him. Do you think it was too soon?
Thank you Cinss!!
Aww y'all are gonna make me cry! You're all so sweet! Thank you :). And hbp, I am beyond thrilled that you have your DG, as I'm sure everyone here is!! Even though mine is an 'opposite', I sure hope everyone else gets theirs too :D
We told all of ours right after getting a bfp, because the two that are home with me all day (we homeschool my 3rd and 5th graders) were going to have to help out more, and they needed to know why I was already so sick. So I think it's okay. Ours are old enough to understand that there are risks at this stage.
Once I opened my mouth I got worried about the risks and how I'd explain it to them. I pray this baby is ok. He or she is very wanted in this family!!
With our 2yo, at 10 weeks I woke up at 3am in a pool of blood. I'm not exaggerating. It looked like a murder scene. We had to take my two youngest with us to the er to see if we had lost the baby. After that, I didn't worry so much about what we would tell them if the worst happened, just because they had to experience it with us whether we had told them or not. I don't know of that makes sense or not, but I realized if we hasn't told them, we still would have had to explain what had happened.
You will be fine and at this point, I think it was a good time to tell them. Especially if your sweet oldest was worried!
HBP I'm so happy for you! I feel like we"re all in the same boat, your success is exciting as if it were my own. Take care of your self now xxx hope we all get to make our dreams come true
Thank you 3m, I don't know what to say! That makes me feel good though! I'm so glad to be a part of this thread, you ladies have been so helpful and encouraging, I wish I knew y'all in real life!! And I'm sure everything will be just fine with you little one :)
I've been scared to tell Ds1 bc he had a really hard time the last time when things went downhill and he was only 3. It was heartbreaking , he would wake up and ask why baby girl had to go to heaven (I think he wants a girl more than me) and he would say mommy had "water in her eyes " (tears) . So I know he would be thrilled but I havent told him yet. It's been 4-5 months and he still tries to buy clothes for her
Attachment 5274 I am SO happy that you know all is well with your little one! :)

That is the nicest post I've ever read. Your son is so lucky to be having you as his mum! Congrats on your beautiful boy. :bigboy:
Änd a huge congrats to HBP!! I have the same family make-up as you and I love it :) Willow is going to be so loved.
Just wondering if anyone else is having as hard a time settling on a name as me? I have a name chosen that fits so well with my other 2 boys, but DH won't agree... But he's also not really giving me many suggestions lol. Why does naming another human being have to be so difficult?! I'm afraid this poor boy won't have a name when he's born, otherwise I'll have to just sneak the birth certificate myself lol. We've had a girls name picked for 4 years, but always had a tough time agreeing on boy names.
