Pink, DD2 and DD3 had reflux awful. DD2 was way worse off because she was bottle fed, i do feel it made it worse when i can compare DD3 who was exclusively breast fed and a much easier baby even with the reflux...so even though you are exhausted just know i feel if she would take a bottle it would only bring more heartache and stress, it may even be why she refuses it. Husband and i sat in tears last night reliving DD3's first year and a half of life because of how hard of a night we were having with our poor gassy DD4...It really goes by so fast that you have to remember how fast it goes to get through the tough times for sure..as for DD4, i had french toast and a fried egg for breakfast and you could just SEE the difference as well as hear it when it reached my milk supply by the end of the day...i had forgotten that DD3 had a horrible reaction to my milk whenever i ate eggs..so she has been extremely gassy (lots of farting that smells like eggs) and fussy and not wanting to rest, she is in pain..I wont touch eggs again for at least 6 months to say the least and i feel awful that i forgot about it..it sucks because im craving protein so bad with the breast feeding and the egg tasted SOOOO good (they did last time too though and learned the hard way then as well!)
But even this morning after that hard night (where some mean things were said between DH and i lol) he and i shared a look and spoke out loud that "we will get through this" and "its going to be a blip of time in our lives with her"
Even if it doesnt feel like you are soaking it all in because of how tired and hard it is right now pink, you are absorbing more than you know because in a few months you will want to come back to this stage to have her be this small again, even if it meant the nights like this. Its how we all go on to have more babies in the first place LOL..
i am sending big hugs cause been there and done that, i hope that if you have nothing left to try and are willing that they will have zantac or something for your little girl. I feel for her and you!
Burakoam- did you eat lots of eggs while pregnant? Just curious because someone told me babies tolerate certain foods better in breast milk if you ate them a lot during pregnancy. Not sure how much I believe that so wondering.
Thank you Burakoam your words really meant a lot to me I really needed to hear from someone who feels and understands what I'm going through :) you really lifted my spirits letting me know that it's hard but so worth it thank you :)
I think it can be a random thing that can occur while breastfeeding. With my DS1, I couldn't eat corn on the cob without him having horrible diarrhea. With my DS2, I couldn't eat broccoli without him having terrible gas. I certainly ate these food frequently while pregnant so they were both exposed each time.
FX you can eat them when she gets a a bit older!
