Oh dreaming - am sorry you didnt hear girl but brothers are amazing - if this is your last baby its probably a blessing as boys can be so much closer than a brother and sister - they will grow up together and be able to go off and do stuff together that maybe a brother and sister couldnt do. BUT REMEMBER - There is still a chance she pops out a she :-)
Dreaming, there's almost 9 years between my brother and I. While we don't have much in common at the moment (he's a wild university student and I'm a married, mortgaged, soon-to-be mother of 3), we've always been close. I'm fiercely protective of him and he knows it. He may go 2 weeks without calling me but when he needs an ear or a shoulder to lean on, I'm #1 on his speed dial. The age difference can be magical, congrats again.
Dreaming - congrats on your healthy baby boy : )
Two boys is very cool, I wouldn't have it any other way! Same gender siblings are great, honest!
Hope you don't get too down about it all. He will be a perfect bundle and something to look forward to indeed! Hugs XX
Congratulations Dreaming on your little boy. I'm sure he will be so adored. Take your time to come to terms. xx
Glad to see that everyone else seems to be doing well.
Crossing fingers for you Sunflower that baby B holds on. Great news about the MS and fatigue (usually I'd feel sorry for you but it's meant to be a good sign for a healthy and strong baby).
Oh goodness I am like in official count down mode - TWELVE DAYS! I literally can't wait, I am SOO excited for this ultrasound. We have a snowman Christmas countdown thing that hangs on a door, since its so close to Christmas, I'm thinking about now using it to count down till January 3rd haha! Hope the holidays help time fly, right now it's slowly creeping!
Hi Ladies, I am just trying to catch up after not being in for awhile. Have been suffering terrible MS and really not doing much at all. I am definitely not complaining though after reading what so many ladeis are going through.
Sunflower, how are you? I hope you hear good news on the 27th, I will be thinking of you. So hard especially at this time.
I am so sorry to the ladies you have experienced losses, my heart goes out to you. Hugs at this time.
I hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves.
Hi has anyone heard from 3boys? If you're reading - hope you are doing as ok as can be.
Mum23boys - good luck tomorrow with your scan
Sunflower - thinking of you and hope you get lovely good news on 27th
Anyone else with a scan tomorrow good luck and new bfps congrats. Sorry been knee deep in wrapping and still really tired so haven't been posting much. Also ds3 is going through a 'I won't go to sleep without mummy or daddy' time and I am not good at controlled crying although I do need to do something soonish I think!!!
Morning ladies - how is everyone today ?
Ive got my private scan in an hour and to say im scared is an understatement - i have come on here for distraction only to find the board really quiet !! I should be back by 12-1pm ( its now 10.30am) so I will come back and let you know how I got on.... Good or Bad.
xx
3boys, I hope you are ok. If I'm not mistaken you had to go to hospital on Saturday right? How are things going? Hope you will be ok soon dear.
Just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL LADIES! Hope you will spend a peaceful, beautiful day with your loved ones. I won't probably have time to come over here tomorrow so I'm sending my best wishes to you all now.
3boys, I know you will probably not spend a very happy christmas and I'm so sorry for that, wish I could change things for you hun. You'll be in my thoughts. xxx
Mum23boys - how did the scan go today?
STRANGE !!! The baby with a heartbeat has sadly stopped growing at 3.6mm and its heartbeat stopped but the under developed embryo is now 13.8mm and has a heartbeat so they kind of swapped roles. Im gutted we lost 1 of them but am also glad we have 1 rather than nothing which is how it could have come out if this one hadnt fought to make it.
I think ill still worry until 12 weeks but the tech seemed to think everything would be ok and that by 12 weeks the other twin will have just dissapeard all together - another reason im glad i went as its the only photo ill have showing that they were infact twins. I have reallys uffered with GD but as soon as i saw 1 had died i instantly thought - I bet its the girl!! I felt awful afterwards for thinking it but i was sure they were boy girl twins and i just thin k now we will have our 4th boy but hey im trying not to think about it as there have been so many sad stories on here lately that im just so thankful we have 1 baby full stop regardless of its sex.
Thank you for asking
So happy you have one healthy bean. And now you have a nice photo to show your LO later in life. Try not to worry about gender just yet. (I know, easier said than done.)
Is everyone getting excited for Christmas? What do you ladies do Christmas Eve?
This evening we will put a Christmas movie on and eat finger foods, like meatballs, shrimp etc.
10 DAYS TILL MY ULTRASOUND! Next Thursday isn't coming fast enough lol

Congratulations on your adorable baby, BabyCakesTor.
Well I've had a rough 24 hours. Spent almost all Christmas Day vomiting. And it wasn't anything I've eaten as I only tried sipping water and eating fruit and light/plain foods. No traditional Christmas foods this year. I ended up getting Hubby to take me to hospital last night as I couldn't keep water down, had a massive headache, blurred vision, dehydrated and very weak. Also had blood coming up with my vomit, most likely burst capillaries from the violent vomiting and stomach wrenching. Well they gave me a Zophran wafer I think it's called and it helped right away and some hydrolite icepops were able to keep down after taking it. So after that got sorted I was able to leave and came home and had a much needed rest. Had another sleep with DS3 this afternoon so feeling a little better.
Violet, you poor thing. So pleased your feeling better. What a way to spend Christmas day. Take care...
Violet - you poor thing that sounds awful :( Hope you can get some more rest soon xx
Mum23boys - I'm so glad you had a healthy bub in there. I'm sorry the other little one didn't make it :(
Babycakestor - is that a transvaginal ultrasound? It looks alot like mine and according to Ramzi our little ones being on that side of the picture means girl! :) Apparently 97% but I'll believe that when I see it ;)
Babycvd - Your scan is so close! I'm certain you have a little girl in there! x
Hoep everyone had a Merry Christmas xxx
Hi, everyone! I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas! We definitely did. It was very busy, and I was getting over being sick, but it was still very nice. I love spending this time of year with family, it's always so special. :) Santa was so good to the kids (a little too good ;) ) and he was definitely good to hubby and me, too! :)
I'm sorry I haven't been posting much on here lately. I try to keep up, but after being so sick with nausea and unbearable daily headaches in the first trimester, I was hoping I'd be able to start chatting more often. It didn't work out that way though, as I came down with bacterial bronchitis right as I started the second trimester. I can't remember the last time I was this sick, it was terrible, and couldn't have come at a worse time (the week before Christmas, ugh). I'm finally starting to feel a bit better now, but it was only after I finally broke down and called my OB and they gave me a prescription for an antibiotic to get rid of all the green stuff I was hacking up (sorry, so gross and TMI). Ugh, it's been a rough few months, but I really hope the worst is over now. I hope everyone else is staying healthy!!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that we had another scan at 16 weeks exactly, and it was confirmed that we're having boy/girl twins. We announced to family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We put one pink and one blue balloon in a box, wrapped it, and had someone in the family open it and then just let everyone figure it out. It was so funny to watch them realize what we were trying to tell them. My MIL went absolutely nuts - I have the funniest video of her screaming with excitement, LOL. Of course, my FIL just *had* to make another stupid comment, when he said to me: "Well, at least I got half of what I wanted. I was really hoping for two girls."
Mrs_P did you tell your family over the holiday? If you did how did it go. I am still waiting but I don't think we will be able to wait much longer.
Hi there, we are due 28th July. So excited it is our 3rd. We have 2 boys. We are from australia and recently went over to california did one cycle with Dr Potter for gender selection and are now pregnant with a girl. Just had second scan today at 9 weeks 4 days. So relieved to know she is doing well. Look forward now to joining in on pregnancy forums and discussions after finishing this high tech journey xx
Welcome, 1wish! Congrats on your healthy pink bean! :)
Hi ladies,
Merry Christmas to all!
Well I had my 2nd u/s today.... TWINS! Identical too... I was shocked, as I had a scan at 6 wk 3 days and it revealed only 1... They missed the other baby?! I cried and laughed, was pretty hysterical really. The thought of the possibility of 4 boys scares me...Eek.
Will post some pics when possible, don't think there is a good nub shot though. There is a rounded bump on one twins area, so perhaps boys?
Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season, love to all XX
