TTC Girl - January 2012

Hi girls,
Just wondering if you wouldn't mind another member in your group? I have been on the site everyday like a crazy person for the past 3 weeks and feel like i know all of you, even though i've just joined, lol. My DP and i are thinking about TTC this month, i am currently on CD2. I am 28, from Australia, and have 2 divine DS's but am DESPERATE for some pink in my life (I feel out numbered in my house all the time!) I have already found this site and all of you so informative. I'm just finalising my sway at the moment but think i have it pretty much sorted.
There seem to be so many of us TTC in January so I am hoping with all my might that there are alot of pink BFPs in all of our futures!!

My opks are still worrying me I am very tired and stressed today esp about my opks. This does not usually happen to me..

Re abstinence and frequent release - I don't believe anything changes the ratio of girls or boys, but that both scenarios lower sperm count (though I agree with lemon that the frequency required to do that probably varies between men, what their sperm count was to begin with and how often they usually release). My DH is 37 and couldn't abstain even if I wanted him to but I personally wouldn't risk crappy sperm (boy or girl!) that we may get by abstaining at his age. I wonder whether the fact that we lowered sperm count but that his sperm were very fresh due to the amount of releasing helped us to conceive so quickly. Remember also that frequent release is very different to frequent BD - as pinkin said, I felt that with one shot we were helping again by reducing 'my' sperm count and also the amount of high pH semen. After abstinence there is more semen and there was very little after our super frequent releasing!

I'm sure I had something else to say but it escapes my mind at the moment! Oh yes - Clomid! Kraizy Daizy, can I suggest you start a new thread or PM Atomic Sagebrush? You'll get more information that way!

Welcome Lala. Always nice to see Aussies on here...I like that we are awake at the same time! I am in the same boat as you with 2 DS and hoping for a DD. I don't O til later in the month than most on here at the moment, so I am trying to be patient! GL with your sway.

AF is here! TTC soon after! I had a terrible sway week over Christmas but I hope I've still done okay. Due to ovulate around 17th/18th. Should I use opk's twice a day at the end of AF?

Mocha, I love love the digital! When did Clearblue easy digitals start saying how pregnant you are? I think that's really neat!! (that's what 1-2 means, right...1-2 weeks?)

Katie, I know how you feel when you say you need a girl! I talk my husband's ear off incessently about how I long for a daughter; some days he's really loving and open about my feelings; sometimes he gives me a look, as if he somehow failed me by giving me sons; and then still others, he says boys are so much easier, and I don't know the trouble I'm asking for (he is honestly terrified of raising a daughter.) Knowing how strongly he feels about the whole girl situation, on those days when he is so loving and thoughtful about it I know KNOW that he really cares and loves me. That means a lot :) He is still wearing whitey tightys and he hated them, he was always a boxer man. I love him for doing what he can!

Mocha, I totally feel you on the whole Mom thing. If DS2 even makes a whimper when I'm on the phone with her, she gets mad and says, "you really think you want another?" He's a baby, he babbles! So what if he babbles loudly when I'm talking on the phone to her? he's not being rude, he's just a 8 month old baby! One day the baby was babbling very loudly and then DS1 started being loud because the baby was being loud, and she point blank said, "I don't think you can handle another one." This btw is all over the phone because she doesn't drive anymore and I see her in person about 4-6 times a year, so just over the phone, she is judging what I can and cannot handle! GRR!
