Thanks everyone for the kind words! It really means a lot. I did tell my mom today so she could know what is going on since I've been kind of distant (usually we talk every day). All my best friends know as well and have been super supportive.
I had my appointments today, but don't have much news, good or bad yet. My normal doctor was super nice and supportive and had me do another beta draw. She sent it STAT so I should have those results by the end of the day. Then she sent me for an ultrasound at a radiology clinic. The tech was super nice and she spent a good 30 minutes on the two different ultrasounds (abdominal and transvaginal). She was able to see the gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole but wasn't able to see a heartbeat yet. At just 6 weeks 5 days she said it's common to not always see it. She said for me not to worry and she didn't seem concerned at all. Reading online, it looks like they are just looking for the fetal pole at this point and within 3-7 days of seeing the fetal pole you should see a heartbeat. So maybe it's too early? Anyone else not see a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks but see it later? She couldn't tell me much and said the radiologist would look at all the images and then write up a report and send it to my doctor asap.
I'm still bleeding red a little when I go to the bathroom, but there's not much on my pad, just when I wipe. Still tons of cramps and back pain which occurred all last night as well. I can feel my uterus when I lay down (it's right above my pelvic bone, which is early, but I was the same way with DS2) and it's rock hard like it's in a constant contraction. I stayed in the bath for over 3 hours last night to help with the cramping and back pain. Then when I went to take a shower after I got really light headed, started dry heaving, and my hands and arms went numb. I dragged myself to the toilet and had a few more small clots. I pretty much got into bed after that and DH (who happened to be working from home yesterday) took care of the kids the rest of the evening. The cramps and back pain kept me tossing and turning all night, but I'm feeling a little better today.
I'll update when I hear from my doctor. Please keep sending me all the sticky vibes and positive thoughts that you can.
Thanks for the update Essnce - definitely sending all the hugs/sticky vibes possible your way. Hope to hear some good news from you tomorrow!
