Oh no! I hope the Dr's can keep him in for a while longer! I will be sending PT your way.

mfc- I'm a doula and have seen this once(it's very rare). My client had an anterior placenta with placement over the scar. She had no bleeding with it and it was slightly covering the cervix. Her midwife was awesome and positive about it being fine(in 2000 deliveries- many vbac's- she had NEVER seen an accreta). Her placenta did not move until 39 weeks!! It shifted one inch. And then by 40 weeks it moved a teeny bit more- enough for her VBAC attempt. She laboured for 20 hours, pushed for 3 and had her baby:) Her placenta plopped into a bowl beneath her about 10 mins after the birth:) No issues whatsoever.
You should know that anterior placentas move slower up the uterine wall than posterior ones plus they tend to move much more near the end of the pregnancy. To be freaking you out this early...it's not good for you:( They shouldn't even be looking for accreta as it tends to not show up even with an MRI unless it's very bad(which is VERY rare). They should monitor movement but not until your uterus is filled with baby-beyond 35w. Try not to worry so much. Many women gave anterior placentas over top of scars and they don't have a single problem.
The one thing to try is visualization of the placenta- imagine it moving up the uterus:) Plus there's a homeopathic for it as well- I'll see if I can find the name. Do not take vitamin e- it's causes sticky placenta.
Big hugs to you~ I'm sure that your placenta will move and everything will be fine:) xo
MFC, I hope the placenta moved up!
thank youe everyone, good news is im still pregnant. i was checked last night and still at 3cm. so no change is good. i did not like the new on-call doctor. she was very rude and said i would be lucky and it would be a blessing if my baby died because right now he is facing a lifetime of mental issues and challenges. of course i know this but to remind me just made it worse. so i went hysterical an she asked me if i was trying to bring on labor??? good news is i told her not to come back and i wanted the other doctor. everyday is a milestone! trying to stay positive.
Girlmom, I'm praying hard for you and your little man, if theres was anything else I could do believe I would, hopefully your original Dr will be back soon to take better care of you both xxx
MFC, what a nightmare! I have no knowledge of placenta's but I'm sure that DM's advice above is spot on and the Dr's are just throwing wild possibilities into the air atm:agree:
Bec, its hard where you are atm, I know:( But we are around on here if you want to talk about it, usually people irl don't like to bring things up as they don't want to make things worse or upset you but on here your allowed to not have to be brave all the time, hope that makes sense:hugs:
Girlmom glad bubby is still in there, every day is a blessing hey. As for that dr my god how rude, glad you told her where to go!
girlmom, I am happy to read the news that your baby is still inside! That doctor sounds horrible. I hope you get your regular doctor back!
ELP, Dave is a little angel! Congrats!!!!!!! Are you changing to NLP now? xoxo
omg Girlmom def thinking of you! And that lady sounds terrible!! Keeping fingers and legs crossed that everything works out!
I am just cruising along will be 30 weeks on Sunday! time is not flying by, we are so ready for Zane to be here. I feel pretty good though and still sleeping pretty good, that is about it! LOL
30 weeks already Tink, crazy!!!!!
Girlmom how are you and bubby?
Thankyou so much! It does make sense. Only my DH, parents, my sister and best friend know what happened. They are the only ones who knew I was pregnant. People know we are TTC which makes it hard because alot of people actually thought I was pregnant when I was. Anyway, life goes on. And I know I will be ok, it might just take a bit of time. Thankyou again :)
And thankyou to everyone else for your lovely words. They really do mean a lot to me.
Girlmom, I am so happy to hear that baby has stayed put. What a rude, ignorant doctor. I can't believe some health professionals have such a poor bedside manner. Disgraceful. Anyway, I hope your little one stays put for alot longer!
Girlmom: We started praying for you last night. DH was praying for the "girl mom on the internet", but God knows who we are talking about...lol.
Lola: HI!!!
Tink: 30 wks...wow. It always seems to fly when you have less than 10 wks to go.
Pregnancy is so full of waiting, not only for the baby, but for docs and insurance co....etc.
Not much going on this week. I do have a doc appt on Thursday.....let's see how big I am measuring....lol.
wash. promise and tink i soo wish i was in your shoes right now. heck 28-30 weeks would be a dream come true right now. thats my goal. 2 weeks away. today i woke up still pregnant, so thats good. i asked to be sewn shut but im too far along and i asked for extra steroids but they said it wouldn't do any good. im just laying in bed trying not to dialte. thank you so much ladies. the prayers/well wishes are a comfort and help me get through the long days.
Well girlmom, we are praying for him to stay put for as long as he can! XOXO
KUP girlmom; I'm praying for you and that little fella! Are you in the hospital now? If not when do you get checked by a doc again?
ELP how's the newest babe doing? Hope all is well :)
Girlmom, do you have incompetent cervix? I had this at 20 weeks with my first son. Doctors expected him to be born within 2 days. I did everything they said and didn't move out of that bed only for quick shower/toilet stops. I lasted 4 months in hospital and then had my son. A few scares along the way, it wasn't a smooth ride but we hung in there. Doctors said we were a miracle to get so far along. I remember trying to get to 27 weeks and then they said that most babies would probably be 100% ok. Its so hard when they say make it another 1 or 2 weeks as even an hour seems like an eternity. Good luck to you, you are still pregnant so that sounds great to me, like you and your little guy will do what I did and have a happy outcome.
Keeping everything crossed for you girlmom. My 2nd DD was born at 31 weeks and she was perfectly healthy and only on a ventilator for 36hrs and had to stay for 4 weeks. I hope you can keep him in for a few more weeks into that safe timeframe. I know a lady who was 6cm dilated for a month....so hopefully you will be as lucky!!!
i am at the hospital and bored out of my mind. i got my phone and dd's ds. (im getting really good at mario!) the food sucks, im about ready to kill for some pizza hut. they don't like to check me much because they don't want to agitate my cervix, so i don't think they will check me again for awhile unless i ask them to or im feeling contractions. i did ask about incompetent cervix but they said its almost impossiable to have that since i had 4 full term healthy babies. 1 loss at 22 weeks due to infection they think and then another healthy full term baby. so far just signs of preterm labor for some unknown reason.
7 more days would make me feel sooo much better. i feel very discouraged. maybe you ladies will be honest with me. what are the odds i go to 36 weeks with a positive fetel fibronectin and being dialted to 3cm and 100% effaced, no mucus plug and slight contractions??? probably not very good huh? doctor want me to go to 28 weeks but again i don't feel very confident about that. but 7 days... i'll try my hardest that will be easier then 2 weeks.
Are you on medication to stop contractions? If you are and you remain in bed without your water breaking and stay at a 3 or maybe get no further than a 5-6 I think you have a good chance!
thank you so much pop, i hope you are right. im taking meds to stop contractions, unfortunalty they are starting to raise my blood pressure so we have to be careful about how much i have. i had steroids and i had magnesium for awhile. and ibprophin.. did you have any idea this can stop labor? i had no idea, but i could only have it 3 days or it could do something to the amionic fluid they said. im getting a little concerned as my mucus plug fell out yesterday and i have like so cervix left so now im getting worried about infections getting up in there. its just one thing after another and i know i shouldn't worry but i want to be prepared too.
Praying for you girlmom. My brother was born at 24 weeks and is now a healthy regular normal 14 year old boy :) xx
ttc5= really!!! serious? omg i can't tell you how wonderful that is to hear. a 24 weeker who is normal and fine and a sweet little boy? i know it won't always be true but i feel better i have made it 4 or 5 days stuck at 3cm. dh reminded me 7 more days will make a world of difference. tomorrow im 26 weeks so i hope he wont have too many health issues if he is born early.
girlmom just dont.move at all for the next few weeks! keep that baby in my thoughts are with you!!!! hugs!
Praying for you and your baby boy, :awe:!
Actually no I lie, he does wear reading glasses but what a small price to pay hey!!
girlmom-hope you and baby is ok. I read that baby can stay inside for weeks and weeks after the plug is gone and with no infections . FX!
i do have weight on my side. the hospital here goes by weight. they won't even try to save them if they are below 500 grams. ( not sure what that is in pounds) according to my last u/s my baby weighs 860 grams. which is about 2lbs. so they will attempt to save hime which makes me feel so much better. i lost his sister 2 years ago on easter sunday and they woudln't save her. i can't bury another baby, im not strong enough. but im going to think positive like you ladies said and i know everyday is good. i mean its been a week since they admitted me and so far im still pregnant.
ttc5= i'll take reading glasses!!
popping in to check on you girlmom! still pregnant, YAY!!!!! stay put, baby boy! does he have a name yet?
i really wanted logan or hunter but dh nixed them... we decided on Michael i think. but yes baby Michael is grounded he's not going anywhere ( i hope)
That's a great weight girlmom. Are you now nearly 27 weeks? I think baby Michael sounds like a fighter and you have both done so well to get to one week in hospital. Bed rest in hospital is so hard but every day is a blessing for you and your little man. The doctors said to me that at 27 weeks they weren't so worried about delivering a baby and 28 weeks they had great odds. Actually I worked with a girl at work who was born at 27 weeks and she had no problems not even reading glasses so you definitely can have a great outcome.
yes the doctors want me to go to 28 weeks. but i hit 26 weeks today. good news is i feel no contractions, im taking all my meds, drinking lots of water, which is making me have to get up alot and make bathroom trips but i guess thats good. bad news is i had a positive fetel fibronectin, im dialted to 3cm, and my mucus plug is gone. so i hope i get at least 1 more week. but again thank you all so much for thinking about me and baby michael. it really does help to know so many people care.
