Linz-congrats! Must be a relief:)
Missxo--what a perfect pair of babies!
And thank you so much everyone. I woke up this morning and the first thought I had was, "was it a dream?!" Nope! Still real:) I am thrilled!
Congratulations everyone on your scans
Thank you Belleboi!
I still am in doubt, I feel like my girl isnt a girl that on my next scan I will hear boy. I am scared to bond with her until I know for sure. Its weird, but I still feel like its two boys and not one of each. Anyone else feel this way? Thats the only potty shot I got and feel like it is a penis :/
I'm pretty sure that's a girl miss! Your boy is SO obvious. But I understand your feelings as I think if I do hear girl I won't quite believe it either as it's something wanted for so long! Hope you get to start believing you have your girl in their. Maybe your next scan will ease your mind :)
missxo--your girl's potty shot looks EXACTLY like both of my girls' potty shots. There are three clear lines there, and as I'm sure you notice, a HUGE difference between that potty shot and the one of your son.
I still get you on doubting though. Like, it's too good to be true, right? I'm right there with you. I've gotten many phone calls/texts/FB posts congratulating us and everyone is so ecstatic. I can't believe it's happening either. I've been staring at the one little potty shot I got asking myself if there's any way it could be an umbilical cord...but, my tech was very sure (she's been doing this for 20+ years) so I'm just having to take a deep breath and relax. Soak it in missxo! We are having our dream babies!
thanks Belleboi :) All of our family and friends are so excited and I just keep having dreams that the tech was wrong and ill have to tell everyone that its two boys. Makes me feel better that the potty shot looks like your girls! Thank you. And yes they do look different, but I some how find a way to still think its a boy lol.. I just cant wait til my next scan and hear girl again!
Lol missxo no I'm questioning my u/s shot! I've been staring at it all day trying to imagine if it could turn into a little girl! Ahhhh
miss and belle i've look back at both your scans ladies and they are defo correct so start bonding and enjoy every moment of a brill swayed pregnancy you've both waited for this moment to let it pass you by with doubts .... enjoy ladies
Has it sunk in yet for any of you how much time is LEFT? I know the Aug due dates probably still seem far to some but being due in June I realize Ive got 3 months and 2 days left not including the 2 weeks early I plan on. Despite the immense pain of the SPD it seems to have flown and I cant believe she will be here so soon!
Time has definitely flown for me. I'll be half way on Wednesday. Where did the last 20 weeks go? I'm listening to my body but, ideally I have approximately 3 months left of work. Although previous pregnancies I have had to leave earlier at 6-7 months.
I feel like I have very little ready for this babies arrival. I like to be prepared well ahead of time but definitely not feeling that way this time.
Ive been slacking severely. We are reorganizing our bedroom and baby sleeps in a bedside bassinet the first year because with my bad hip im not traipsing through the house half tired to go feed multiple times a night. So there is no need to get her room ready immediately and I can pick at it over the next year. We saved everything from DS and we did everything very neutral with him so that way it could be used for multiple children no matter the gender. The only big things I have to buy are a double stroller and her crib. Little things like a few bottles for when its "dads turn", couple pacis, and some new burp clothes. I feel unprepared but I'm not really. I don't have to go through the OMG I HAVE TO BUY ALL THIS STUFF because I already have 85% of it. Shes already got more clothes than I know what to do with between all her grandmothers and what we purchased when the winter stuff went on clearance. I still catch the ocassional outfit and go OMG have to have this. The other day I saw an outfit it was the last of its kind in the perfect size that said best little sister and was purple with butterflies which happens to be how im doing her room. That outfit was meant to be found by us so of course I bought it LOL
I have to admit I am somewhat prepared. I bought a tommee tippee starter bottle kit, plus extra bottles. I have a bassinet, I need to pick up a cot I was given from a friend. I have started a stash of reusable nappies, I have about two packs of disposables. I've started stocking up on wipes and basic household essentials for those first few weeks. Maybe I'll feel more prepared once I know bubs gender. Speaking of, I have bought some boy clothes already. Still plenty more to do if bub is a boy though. My nearly 10 year old will be moving into my almost 5 year olds room if bub is a boy. That means moving lots of furniture around and painting two bedrooms. Hmm, maybe that's the real reason I don't feel prepared.
We have a lot of stuff to fix in the house too. The little one will be switching bedrooms (she sleeps in the guest bedroom now bc of the big bed), so I need to reclaim that room. Get her room reasy and comfortable. Fix dings and dents in the walls from my rowdy girls. Repaint walls and ORGANIZE. I have a lot of unused toys and half puzzle pieces to throw out and donate. DH has really insisted on me hiring some help for the last months of my pregnancy and the first months with a newborn so I think I may hire a cleaning service to come every 2 weeks.
We also have gotten rid of everything the last four years so I'm basically starting over. I spent two hours looking at diaper bags last night! Lol. Baby will also sleeping in a bassinet next to us for the first year or so, so no rush to convert the guest room just yet. Has anyone seen the Halo Bassinest? Doesn't it look awesome?
I feel so unprepared! Winter needs to end so I can switch out all the winter clothes and bring the spring clothes out from the attic :/ I have bought a few things but nothing big we need everything except clothes for baby boy. We even have to get a mini van bc our SUV is obly a 6 seater ooppss lol.. My OB said to have everything prepapred by 30 weeks the lastest incase I go early, get out on bedrest or am just too damn big lol. I am 17 weeks 1 day so that leaves me about 13 weeks left..
Nahri my SPD kicked in too :( I am going to get a maternity support belt and ask for a referral to PT for it and hope it helps :(
My family is going to throw us a baby shower, Anyone else know if they are having one?
Time has flown by for me too! I will be 24 weeks in a few day, EEK! 6 months already! DH and I were just discussing that last night.
I guess because I still have half of a miserable semester to get through 3 months seems forever!
We have loads of stuff left over from DD3 but no boy stuff. My sweet neighbor has offered to throw a shower for me so I have had fun on the Amazon baby registry. At first I thought shopping for a boy wouldn't be as fun as girl shopping, but I have managed! Gymboree is my favorite and they have lots of cute boy stuff. DH is already pulling stuff out and turning the office into baby's room, I simply can't help until my classes are over...grrrr...
I'm actually quite prepared for my weeks I'm 14 weeks and have cot nappies wipes toiletries hospital bag moses basket be pillow and a breast pump I'm trying g not to buy anything else as I want colours
Oh I totally forgot we are having to buy a third row seat SUV as well! Lol the biggest and most important thing and I'm worried about cleaning:/. I'm going to call my insurance this week and see if breast pumps are covered, I think they are.
Thankfully we don't need to worry about the car. We need bought a 7 seater 4wd about 6 weeks before I got my bfp :) I love it. I don't think I could go back to a small car.
OMG OMG OMG! I have a son!!! I literally burst into tears.
Woohoo Boysway!
http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...b485bcb33c.jpg Meet my son :) Now the fun part of coming up with a name and figuring out the best way to tell family.
Gorgeous boysway! Have fun telling everyone and picking a name!!
I have felt exactly the same way. It's normal, from what I've read and heard from others to feel this way. It's almost unbelievable even though it is logical and the truth..I totally understand, but try not to worry, as hard as that is. I am finally getting excited and I'm 23 weeks tomorrow. Hang in there!
Boysway! I cannot even express the joy I feel for you at this moment! Goosebumps! Congratulations! You must be so thrilled! Your little boy is coming:) beautiful boy:)
Sorry your SPD is starting missxo. I highly recommend the aquatherapy if its available in your area. It takes all the weight off your hips and gets you moving! None of the places in this area could fill my script for the brace I needed because the standard compression band doesnt work on me. I ordered this: https://babybellyband.com/ with the straps that go around your groin so we will see how that works out. The also have shoulder straps that can be added to it as well so you just get the pieces you need!
Over joyed for you Boysway!! Go blue crazy!!! XX
Huge congrats boysway!
YAAAAAAAAY BOYSWAY ! HUGE CONGRATS !!!!
Woo hoo!!! Boysway!!!! So happy for you :)
YAY Boysway. Huge congrats to have boy confirmed. I'm thrilled for you!
