I have a gender ultrasound on Monday and I'm so so nervous. I've had early ones that say girl but this place I'm going to specifically deals with early gender determination and it's two hours away but I need to know lol but then another part of me doesn't want to know lol I'm going on holiday the following week and it's a one off thing where hubby and I are getting to go alone and I don't want to be depressed

I got to see our sweet little guy today! The doctor I work with owns an ultrasound "boutique" and I went over for a quick peek! He is cute as can be and ALL BOY!! I absolutely can't wait to hold him! I'm also measuring almost a week ahead [emoji15] I'm technically 15w7d but he was measuring 16w5d...at this rate I'm going to give birth to a toddler!! [emoji85] I hope everyone is doing well!

What a handsome bub roe!!! I bet you are in love already!!!
Awe, he's so precious Roe! Super sweet [emoji4]! My DS1 always measured 2-2.5 weeks ahead, DS2 measured 1.5 weeks ahead, and my DS3 measured 1 week ahead. My DS3 came earlier than the others at 38w2d and was also the biggest!
I'm curious to see if you go early! I know what you mean about being excited to meet your bub! I am too, but I'm also trying to enjoy my last pregnancy!

Thanks ladies! XX, both of my boys were 11 days early. DS1 was 7lb 14oz and DS2 was 8lb 6oz. I only had one ultrasound with each and if I remember correctly they were measuring according to their due dates at my 20 week ultrasounds. I'm curious to see when this little guy will make his appearance and how big he will be!

Hopefully he doesn't come too early or be too big for you to deliver! Looks like you may have a sweet BFG (Big Friendly Giant)! That's what we lovingly call our DS3. At 15mo he was as big as his older brothers were at 2yrs!! At 17.5mo, he's bigger than than were at 34in!! Thank goodness he's still super snugly [emoji4]!!

Roe, that's a lovely scan photo :)
Quick question ladies. What do you think the likelihood of not being able to determine gender via scan at 17 weeks is? I'm trying to make a decision. What if the baby doesn't cooperate?
I don't want to get anymore scans after 17 weeks as hearing develops after that and both DH and I don't think the possible risks are worth it, plus the anatomy scan is too long so I'm opting out. Basically, this is my now or never moment.
We were not very successful trying to get a nub shot last time we went soooooo, I'm worried we'll end up in the same boat lol.
What do you think?
I think at 17 weeks it's very likely going to be easily detected. At 15 and again at almost 17 they knew in seconds. Go for it!

I'm technically 16 weeks tomorrow and my scan today that "boy part" was clear as day!
