As a general rule, people will ovulate 8-48 hours after their first positive OPK. It doesn't matter how long they stay dark for, it can be pos. for 15 minutes or for 5 days and it still works like that. It is like crossing a finish line - once you are across the threshold, your body gets the signal, whether the signal keeps coming for days afterwards or whatever, it's irrelevant. All that matters is the signal is sent.
Now it is possible that your body can get the signal and due to things that are going on in your environment, decide "eh, maybe not just yet" and keep the egg in a little longer.
