Oh no! That sucks, I will just stick to coffee then :) thank you KC!
Atomic, how do you feel about baby aspirin for lining and implantation?
I have been drinking the jarrah frothy hot choc sticks for supper. Only 196 kj, 1.8g protein & 1.2g fat. You will have to look at your diet overall - avoid anything vitamin fortified - so milo, vegemite, cereal etc. The hardest thing for me was to have a good level of potassium in the diet - I mostly did this with adding smiths potato chips & yoghurt into my day. Both are a great source of potassium. 50g smiths thin chips = 1090kj 3.4 protein 18 fat 750 potassium, 250g brownes yoghurt low fat = 847kj 11 protein 2.5 fat 575 potassium. With these 2 things alone it gave me almost half my days potassium. I used to eat the chips at lunch time & the yoghurt for desert. I hope that helps.
Milo is the only real this I'm having that's fortified and honestly it completely slipped my mind as to how much vitamins were in it.
I'll definitely have a look at those jarrah sachets! I don't eat vegemite often at all, actually not even sure when the last time I had it was lol!
Yes yum! I love potato chips, I eat the small packets for lunches on a daily basis almost probably not overly healthy but they are yum!
Thanks so much Hun, very helpful :)
How long have you been trying?
This is my 27th week on the LE diet (I started at the beginning of feb). We had our first attempt this week & I am hoping that we get lucky first month. I am so over eating twice a day! I dont feel too restricted as I can still eat most of the things that I like but I miss meat & chocolate! I also miss the spontaneity of going out for cake with friends etc. What is your plan? How long are you going to try & sway? I really hope this works, but if not I have lost a crazy amount of weight (which is never a bad thing!) & I am mentally preparing for another boy already.
Oh shoot I missed this, I'm sorry.
Baby aspirin only under guidelines of your doctor. We used to think this was a harmless thing that only helped but newer data has indicated that it may be actually harmful to some people and is not something to self-prescribe for yourself. Some people have clotting disorders and need it, but most of us don't need to take it.
You guys can have 2 OR 3 meals. Both options work. Some people find it easier to do one or the other. I always did 3.
Milk or white chocolate is allowed. most people choose to avoid dark chocolate.
I have been eating the occasional chocolate to up my fat & kj intake but not as much as I would like :) I have mainly been avoiding all meats, onion, juice, nuts, garlic & the other items on the LE avoid list. Still have the occasional egg, baked beans, chips, dairy, lollies etc. To be honest I really havent found the diet too restrictive variety wise, just restrictive in quantity, but even then I cant say that I am hungry at all. If anything I really had to modify the diet to reduce the volume in the first few weeks because I was so full.
Oh yes and for whoever mentioned it, Milo is too heavily fortified.
