I'm pretty slack at getting prepared for labour. I was reading the Calm Birth book but it doesn't really tell me anything I don't know. I guess it might help get in the right headspace maybe.
I'm fairly relaxed about the birth as I have done it twice before without issues. It still is in the back of my mind things can go wrong but I prefer not to focus on the negative side and am happy that my midwives will be prepared if there is a problem and we will deal with it then (ie. transfer to hospital).
Lissa, my 2nd was way more chilled out and happier than my 1st as a baby. I think being a 2nd time mum I was more relaxed, also his birth was more relaxed andprobably also his personality too. I hope you get a happy chilled out little man :)
