It doesn't have to be that high though. 2500 cals is plenty for blue and right in line with what the Oxford study found. if you're gaining that much weight on 2500 cals, you need to add in some exercise. In addition to weight lifting, cardio in MODERATION (45 min or less, 4-5 days a week) does NOT sway pink and will help you keep the weight down. ONLY extreme cardio when you are actually losing weight and eating a low protein/low cal diet, sways pink.
This is a big part of why I urge everyone to not focus too much on timing and be judicious with the BS, so you can get pg FAST rather than having to spend months TTC.
I think alot of people are worried that diet alone will not be enough for them.Quote:

My friend has the same sort of diet as me and she has 3 boys
Bec - I am doing weights 3 times a week for 30min along with 20min cardio. I dont know if this is helping me keep the weight stable or not gain at the rate i expected based on the amount of food i am eating. I basically switched my unhealthy foods with healthy ones... though it is a major change for me to eat those foods, i hope i am not adding too many calories overall.
Replaced fat free milk with full fat dairy, soda with juice, sugary sweets with nuts and dried fruits. Along with these changes i am adding more boy friendly foods during meals like tomato, potato, eggs, meat, fish, chicken, avocado, banana. I am not trying to eat everything every day like i did for the first couples of weeks. I just fit in more times during the week.
