Mum I think you have had lots of stress recently so you didn't need to be on the diet on top of that.

Thanks Steph. I think we might take a break from TTC if I'm not this month. Dh has expressed wanting to go on a different car track which involves moving out of state so I want to deal with all that without a pregnancy I think.
MumofSix I agree with Stephk you sound like stuff has been super stressful & the diet would have just made it worse.

Thanks Angie !! I am indeed ttc for a girl so FX im trying to be positive but feel my chances are slim of a June BFP......p.s you have given me hope Angie as we are about the same age with same age gaps I keep worrying I am too old and won't get pregnant!!!
Mum of six ditto what primal mama and Steph said just relax and do what you can! None of us are perfect on this diet :)
Rosie hope you get your BFP this month, if not taking a month or two out can do you the world of good it really helped me have a little more stamina and feel refreshed about it all! Xxx

Feeling better about this month's attempt. We have been BDing every three days, and we had one attempt Saturday which was super fun, the I got a positive OPK on Sunday. We're planning another attempt on Tuesday. Hopefully that will seal the deal. If not, just means I still get to party on the Fourth of July!
What time of day am I meant to do OPK?

Hi Girls! Just reading along and checking in with you girls. I have no idea how many DPO I am. I could be anywhere from 2 DPO to 5 DPO since I had 5 straight days of +OPK's and my temps were slow to rise. I really doubt I'm pregnant at all because I don't think we timed it right. I really hope I am though since I've had some major cheats with the diet the past 3 days. I totally cracked since we had family get togethers all weekend and then today it just carried over. I really need to get back on tomorrow because I want to have a good chance next month. Can a few days of being off course be very detrimental to a sway the next month? I'm also nervous because we are going to a wedding next weekend where I will have no choice what I eat.
Primal mama - I read the best time to test with opks is 2-4 pm. I suggest testing 2x daily if you can bc some people have short surges and can miss it if they only test once.
Kitkat, glad to be of service :P. I was doubtful too, but here I am :)
Ioften cheated on the 2ww after a few days. There is a point where the egg would be fertilized if preggo and far enough away from the next attempt if not. I'd still skip breakfast and red meat, but didn't usually stay within my limits well!
Angie
Yippee arimethia good luck for your next attempt! Love your attitude!! Primalmama other ladies will have better advice but I think am is better? I use Clearblue opks so only test about three times in a whole cycle, I use other fertility signs to help , good luck!!
3 girl I would not worry too much, just do what you can!! Xxxxx

Here is my chart! Anyone have any insight on what O day is? Attachment 19290
OMG OMG!!! So I did an OPK. Which was negative. But still, IT'S REAL!!! We are really going to TTC this very week!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!

And sorry 3girl I have nooooo idea. That's a very impressive chart though!!

primal - your tests should give instructions on the best time to test. I normally test around 2pm as thats what I heard is recommended but my tests say anytime between 10am and 8pm. Also I would have missed my surge this time if I hadnt tested twice on the day of my positive. That day I tested at 2pm and 4.30pm and the positive was at 4.30pm.
3girl - i am not a charting expert, but essnce usually has great chart insights I am sure she will chime in. The two times I have done a chart (when I got PG with DS and now this month) I have been slow to have a temp rise following O. Regarding the diet, you dont need to worry about a few days here or there when you are over and you should enjoy events like weddings. Cheats are mandatory on LE diet. Also, it is the overall pattern of eating and nutrition that counts, not going over on one or two days. I try to stay within limits monday to thursday and then relax at the weekend. Otherwise I would go insane :)
arimethia - glad you are feeling positive, fingers crossed this is your month!
I am soooooo sick with cold and hayfever, also having AF feelings and cramps on and off :( every time I go to the loo I am dreading seeing AF :(
Hey Primal maybe we will be ovulation buddies! Theoretically I should ovulate this week although last month it was a week late so who knows. I'm really hoping this is the month! I haven't taken my Zyrtec for about 5 days and I had really underestimated it's power to dry stuff up lol! Hoping the extra boost will make conceiving easier this month!
Hey girls! Today I had some weird mucus plug looking discharge. Very strange.
I think FF is correct but you won't know for sure till you get a few more days of temps charted. Were all your +opks the same or did any have the test line darker than the control? I also had several days of +opks last month starting on CD10, but it wasn't till CD13 that my test line was darker than the control and stayed that way for 24 hours (the rest were equal to the control). Going by temp confirmation I didn't O till CD15 which is my normal O day. So last month I did an attempt on CD10 (first +opk) and again on CD13 when test line was darker than the control. I will do the same this cycle but I think my true positive is not till my test line is darker than the control so that's what I'm looking out for. I think I just have a long surge and really sensitive tests (Wondfo). Good luck!
I started opks this month right after AF and OMG I got a positive WAY EARLIER than I imagined... Which basically means I'm in the 2ww right now. GAH! I'm so nervous but luckily we dtd the day before I got positive opk (I was testing every 2-3 days). So that's our one attempt and now I'm hoping the diet+muci and a little conceive plus get us there this month!
Awesome, bethwade! Same thing happened to me this month....o'd waaaay earlier than I thought and somehow managed to catch that egg!
Good luck!!!
Angie
Yah bethwade hope its your month!!!! I dtd standing up only once at a pos opk with zero cm, so I don't like my chances of a BFP this month xxxx

Good luck beth!!!
kitkat - you never know!! Sometimes you do everything perfectly and fail, and other times you think that will never work and it does!!

yes that must be really hard for you. Well you are now in 2ww, everything crossed for you. I am on boring CD3. Spoke to the doctor yesterday and asked if I should be worried about my short LP in relation to my low progesterone blood test in april and she said I shouldnt be worried about it, I should trust my body as it is getting back to normal by itself. She said if it hasnt improved in the next 2-3 cycles and I am still worried they will do the prog blood test again. I am happy with that and I am sure its all fine but like you and everyone else I just want to be PG now, been waaaaay too long.
Great you heard that from her Steph!! A little less worry for you and it sounds like your body is on track! Yip we need more BFP's!! Xxx

Lets hope the universe continues to smile for you beth :)
Just been for a team lunch for a colleague who is going on her second maternity leave today. Her DS was born about 2 months after mine. I am so happy for her that this time was an oopsie because she had issues TTC the first time but I still cant help being a little jealous... she is hoping for a girl this time, I hope she gets one but I will defo be even more jealous lol. She said she was heavier when she conceived this time, but as she was still on mat leave she was probably a lot more relaxed than when she conceived the first time due to the nature of the work we were doing when she conceived the fisrt time. Probably does no exercise. Will be interesting to see.
During this lunch, my boss announced she is 14 weeks pregnant............. happy for her yes. But she said, it happened sooner than we thought but it always does, doesnt it (er no not in my case!! Not last time and not this time!!!) I predict girl for her. She is one of those people who is just so good at everything, doesnt need to compete etc. I know she drinks diet coke but I dont know anything else about her eating habits. Pretty sure she does moderate exercise because she does see a personal trainer at the gym but balks at the fact I go every morning.
why does it always happen to everyone else but not me :(
Aww Steph I am sorry. My sister in law took 2 years to get pregnant. She started taking tons of vitamins and doing something called uterine massage and the most the after she started that she got pregnant. Maybe you need to rethink some of the swaying. Do the exercise but drop the tight restrictions of diet?
Hi I am a returned swayer.... tried from Jun 2011-Dec 2011 gave up diet for 2wks and got ready to give everything away. DH wanted to keep trying so we DTD but I only took a few things. We ended up conceiving twins but lost the girl at 8wks to a deformed heart. My husband is the one that wants to keep going for a girl because now he knows we can make one. We have been talking about it for a year now and thought we might try next year but figured now was just as good.
I am taking a lot to keep my ph low so I am not expected anything to happen this month. But I have the next 18mths planned for this sway.
Thanks Rosie, yes i have already given myself permission to eat what I want now. The restriction was doing my head in a little just like the BD every 4 days did. Even though I am eating what I want, i am not doing too badly so I think its a good compromise. I am still doing the 14-16 hour fast, still mainly vegetarian but less focused on the guidelines (mine were quite loose anyway, 2000 cals, 30% fat and 50-60g protein). Weekends are for cheating still. Also I am now going to lay down after BD as long as possible, no J&D and I am going to have to ask DH to shower instead of hot baths now AF-O I think - he does love his baths. He cycles to work ever day so maybe that and the hot baths are not a great combination for TTC! As I said before if it doesnt happen this time its less of a disaster but I would still like it to happen so will still do everything I can to get PG. Problem is the pressure will REALLY be on if it doesnt happen this time. I am going to keep up with the acupuncture session around O, I dont think its going too far blue in my case. I dont care anymore even if I do get blue.
welcome purple and I am sorry for the loss of your little girl.
Got my June bfn yesterday. Boo. Hopped right back on the exercise (after a weekend vacation away), so feeling good about that. Just waiting for AF to rear her head, then on the month #6 TTC.
I've had 2 "oops" babies (while using bc, too!), and 1 where all we had to do was *think* about *maybe* having a baby and I was preg. It's killing me that after 5 months of actively trying, I'm still not preg. Ugh!
Aw Angie thank you that has put a tear in my eye x
Hi Guys..
Quick question..
Anyone else have LONGER Ovulations? Like I am testing EVERDAY since day CD10 and I'm now on day 14 and still NEGITIVE OPK test? is this normal.. The OPK tests here are CRAZY expensive. I bought them this month for $80 for 20 tests! arrggghh
what is everyone else's O days in their cycles?
I sometimes wouldn't get a positive opk until CD 18...
Oh and you should consider investing in some internet cheapies. You can get 40 tests for as cheap as $12
When I conceived my twins I ovulated on day 22! So I buy the really cheap opks and test every day from day 10 and when I begin to see a change I then confirm using the clearblue digital opk. That way it is more accurate and you are using far less of the expensive opks. I think I'm due to ovulate tomorrow..... Friday the 13th and a full moon!!!! Hopefully it'll be
lucky for me!
Thx but I honestly think it would be TOO good to be true!
I'm so sorry u had a rough day at work :( I absolutely understand and it's a whooole new perspective when ttc isn't working :-/ what cycle are you on steph? I used to be in an Ofc environment and it's rough...
I also find myself totally analyzing my pregnant friends diet and lifestyle now! And all my "girl mom" friends...the biggest common thread is SUGAR. If/when I get pg and if it's a boy I can safely say it's NOT bc I didn't eat enough sugar. Lol Strawberries and chocolate are a staple right now!
Sending happy vibes so the universe smiles on ALL of is this month <3

Im in this boat too with mo #7! We never had an oops baby but I have a new level of respect for people who ttc for a year+. Are you on any different meds this time? It took 3 months with my boys but I think I have been taking meds that messed with O. When is AF due? Are you sure you're out for June? :-/

My ovulation was late last month around CD 21. For this cycle though I just got a positive OPK today on Day 14. Super excited!!! I so hope dropping the Zyrtec was enough. Also I totally hear you girliedreamz on the annoyance of it taking longer to conceive this time. So frustrating!
