swish - I'll send you ovulation dust since I seem to be in the middle of it right now!

I still haven't O'd but I think it's imminent. I still had a strong +OPK last night at bedtime and again this morning. One weird thing about this cycle - I've barely cramped at all - either during af or at O. Normally I'm quite crampy with both. I had a bit of abdominal tenderness yesterday, but I only really felt it if I pressed with my hand on the left side. I also had a tiny bit of an achy cramp, but hardly noticeable at all. I wonder what the lack of cramping means?

Oh, and Z - don't feel down. Those ICs (even the sensitive ones) are crap. I saw a woman on FF last month who had been getting BFNs with her 10miu ics until she tested with a FRER at something like 15dpo and it was a glaring positive while the ICs still showed nothing. It's still early and there's lots of time.

Thanks mocha. Do you know what, I wondered that about the ICs. I distinctly remember testing with them when I was pregnant with DS2 and I could barely see a line even a week after AF was due. I'm definitely just going to buy digitals in future and save them until AF is almost due. I think the cramp-less O is a good sign that it's a less fertile girl cycle for you.
I feel like I had one of those last cycle (ie. not the one of our attempt!). My O was delayed, I had hardly any cramping and hardly any EWCM. Did you O early last cycle and late this cycle? That's the pattern my cycles have been following too and I feel like the longer, less painful ones are left-sided and vice versa.

Yep - last month O came one day early, at CD13...this month it's CD15. However, last month I hardly had any ewcm, and this month I have tons. Well, not tons compared to what I used to get - I only know it's there because I keep checking my cervix...but what there is of it has been there for days and days now. Also, last month my cramps during af, O AND 2WW were bad and constant and this month pretty much nothing so far. I guess I should take it as a good sign that my cycles keep changing.

Ok, starting to get REALLY frustrated here. I STILL haven't ovulated! My first +OPK was at 5:15pm on Saturday, and I always O within 24 hours or so of my test. Last night I had some sharp pains on my left side and thought my cervix felt like it was getting firmer, so I was sure I'd wake up to higher temps today, but no. My temp is creeping gradually up so that it's around my normal coverline now, but there's been no big jump. My cervix this morning is still SHOW. I haven't taken an OPK yet today, but I took several through the day yesterday and they all were +.

What's going on?? Swish - when you had your anovulatory cycle did you ever get a +OPK? Was your cervix soft and open for days like mine has been? Here's my chart:

I keep begging DH to dtd one more time, promising this will be the last one, then I don't O. So now we haven't dtd since yesterday early afternoon and won't be able to until tonight, so if I O during the day today I'll have a 1 day cut off when I wanted to BD through O....

I really feel for you, it's so frustrating!
I didn't do opk that cycle as I'd found them to be inconsistent with temp the cycle before and I found them stressful! I did regularly check my cervix and it was show around when ov should happen and then firmly closed. The only thing that indicated no ov w temps(which was why there was always a little 'what if..' for me, I also had ewcm. Keep temping and then you'll know for sure. One thing dh and I did was miss a day here and there and dtd just in case, it depends how much of a risk you feel that is. I used a bit of refresh on those occasions to cover my bases. Mocha your previous charts look a bit erratic. I wouldn't say they are (or will be) anovulatory... but I'm curious how consistent you are taking your temps. Do you take them orally or vaginally? Same time each day?
I wouldn't say you haven't OVed yet, it's possible to have a slow temp rise (you can search for charts showing this in FF). I'd still say you might have OVed yesterday or today, depending on what your next couple of temps do.

I've had a look at your chart and I agree with rainbow, I've had 2 cycles with gradual temp rises, it's quite common. It does look like your temps are on the way up, fx!!!!! X

Thanks, ladies. Yes, my temps are quite erratic - I'm often up several times in the night with one or the other of the kids - that's why I avoided temping until last cycle. I always try to temp between 6 and 7 am, but sometimes I've already been up at 1, 3,5...you get the idea. I also have a pretty crappy thermometer that gives 'quick read' results in under 30 seconds - I meant to invest in a better BBT thermometer this cycle but never got around to it. I figured it was good enough to see gradual trends, but if I don't get a BFP this cycle I guess I'll finally bite the bullet and get a new one.

I think I might have O'd mid-day today because when I checked my cervix after lunch, it was firmer, lower and a lot less open. Sometimes I forget that after having a vaginal birth (my twins were born via c-section), my cervix is never really completely closed anymore, so this may be as closed as it gets. At first I thought my cm was watery, but when I looked more closely it was opaque - so changing to creamy, maybe? I started to wonder if maybe my cm was like that this morning too since I didn't look too closely and assumed it was watery. So...maybe I O'd today...maybe yesterday? I don't know - I'll just wait and see what FF says, though I think until then I'll assume I'm 1dpo as of tomorrow.

I hope it becomes clearer over the next couple of days mocha!

I caved and told my mum about our BFP even though it's so early (I figured I'd tell her if anything bad happened anyway). She seemed really happy :D She asked whether we'd bought a book on how to have a girl or boy and I told her there was no need for a book with the internet! She texted me later to say that when she'd picked DS2 up from school there were 3 magpies on the ground (one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl ...). Bless her - I hope she doesn't get HER hopes up!

Hi mocha, it's really hard to tell anything from temps unless you have 3 solid hours of sleep and do it at the same time so I think you have ovulated, hopefully your temps will have risen slightly again tomorrow

Z, I think your mum will get her hopes up no matter what you do!!! It's good you told her, you light need her when the ms kicks in! X

I've never had ms before swish - weird huh?! Yes, I'm glad I said, I hate having to be vague!

Z - I plan to tell my Mom and my closest friends when I get a BFP too. If I ended up having a m/c I'd need their support anyway! Besides, most of them already know I'm TTC.

I know the temps are pretty much useless without a solid night's sleep, but there's no way around it for me. Again, I just figure a general trend is better than no temps at all. Last month there was a very sudden and distinct temperature shift when I O'd (like up a whole degree or something like that), so I figured I'd see that again this month. I agree that I probably O'd - it'll just be nice to see FF confirm it eventually.

I'll do the same next time too... we did tell my mum when we got our first ever BFP and then I did lose the baby at 3 months but I don't regret telling her as she knew how scared I'd been because it mattered so much to me. It was better for her to have known and to enjoy the news with us even for a while as our baby deserved that rather than to tell her when the news was already devastating.

♥ Your approach to pink sway: I will be doing supplements, calcium, magnesium, folic acid, vitamin c, cranberry, be drinking crystal light, will be having milk, cutting out all pop and chips and red meat, will be eating chicken, rice, rice cereal, rice puffs, strawberries, cucumbers, will be bding 2 days befor o and after o with a bit of canola oil for lube and a douche prior and after, Im due to ovulate in a couple of weeks so wish me luck. this will be my first sway, hope it works.

Well, my cervix is definitely low, firm and closed now, and cm is creamy, so I'm either in the 2WW or I didn't O. I've been crampy all day like I often am the day after O, so hopefully that's a good sign. DH and I dtd one last time tonight, which I suppose might have been an O+12 attempt, depending on when exactly I O'd.

I'm not really very happy with our attempt this month. All I did was the diet (with quite a bit cheat weekend last weekend while visiting my family, and another cheat night only 2 nights ago when I went to a friend's house), the 20lbs I've lost, SP and Vitex, Baby Aspirin, and tons of Diet Pepsi. I only used Rephresh once and it was nearly a week before O, I didn't use Sylk, and we botched our frequent BD and tried to make up for it with a couple of days of compressed frequent BD followed by once daily BD from then on. I just feel like there's no way I'll get my girl with such a sucky sway - I just wasn't willing to spend a year trying to get pregnant. Feeling a little down right now.

FF gave me my crosshairs this morning - 3dpo. I think I'm actually 1dpo based on cp and cm, but I'll go with FF's estimate since it means I can test sooner. :)

I'm pleased you're in the 2 ww, mocha! Please don't feel down, this was not a bad sway at all, I know it is not like previous months but those months you didn't get pregnant so you needed ti drop some things. What I'm trying to say is, maybe you did less this cycle but you still did enough to reduce your fertility and give yourself a good chance of getting a girl. lots of love, you should still feel good about this!!!!

Thanks, swish. I know you're in a similar situation to me - I'm just not willing to TTC for a whole year, but at the same time I know for sure this is my last baby so I don't want to just throw caution to the wind. It's a hard balance.

{hugs} mocha. I agree it's a fine balance and obviously it's a different balance for everybody. You haven't done everything and then nothing, you've gradually dropped the things which will hopefully mean you get pregnant and you've kept the most important aspects. I think you have a great chance at a girl, just as good as anybody else around here!

How's it going with you swish, any sign of ovulating?

Or have you already eaten it?? I think I read that you were going to eat the LE diet for awhile until you felt comfortable coming off of it. When is your EDD?

AFM, I haven't been on here much other than to quickly look at the 2ww thread;) I feel like a big piece of poo. Morning sickness sucks the big one and I'm freakin exhausted all the time. I can't believe that I've packed on 4 lbs already.....ugh. I have a wedding to go to as well, in mid Oct....I'm sure I'll feel like a horse. Everyone asks if I'm pregnant already as I've been showing since 7 w!!!! I keep having horrible nightmares as well.....I dreamt that I had done IVF for our girl and when it came time for a scan, I went in to discover that there were 2 boys and a girl in there! I sobbed in my dream and my hubby had to wake me up:( It was terrible. Mocha.....was your m/s really bad with your twins? Mine is about the same as all the others which is making me feel better about everything. I don't know if I could handle having 2 at one time and it's scaring me to the point of getting a small scan in a months time if my uterus keep growing so rapidly. Although, 4th pregnancy could totally make this happen as well. I'm paranoid.....can you tell?

DM - sprry you're feeling so crappy. I did have pretty bad m/s with my twins, though at the time I didn't realise it was bad. I threw up twice a day - I got into a routine of drinking a big glass of water first thing in the morning, knowing that would make me throw up, then I could eat some breakfast. I also often gagged or threw up whenever I brushed my teeth. All of this stopped by the 2nd trimester. My doctor was willing to give me meds, but I felt like I had it under control, and I managed to never throw up at work (though there were a few times I felt like I had to). By my first scan at 11 weeks (when I found out I was having twins), I already had a little belly.

I also showed quite early with ds3, but I think it's because I was already so stretched out from carrying twins to term.

Ah, dm!!!! So nice to hear from you, sorry you're feeling rough but it is a good sign bub is doing well :)
I'm on cd 12 and no signs of ov yet, I wouldn't expect it until cd18 at the earliest, keep all your f and t x for me!! I bought a clear blue fertility monitor so I can get a more accurate picture of when I ov, I just didn't want the stress of maybe/maybe not! It was expensive but I figure I can sell it on after!

Hi DM, loving your ticker! Sorry you've been feeling crap though. 4lb is nothing - I could put that on in a weekend :D I WAS going to stay on the LE diet for the whole 2ww but that went right out the window! However, I feel so queasy that I don't really fancy anything - annoying eh? I've never had any morning sickness (lucky me!) but I felt sick literally the day after our attempt and I felt like I knew when the baby implanted because the sickness 'changed' and it's been there (and worse!) ever since. I wonder if it'll disappear and I'll have another ms free pregnancy or it'll only get worse?! I'm trying to keep hold of some of my good eating habits because I've never been that good for that long before - so I'm sticking to a light breakfast, only snacking on fruit and having a treat each evening after the kids have gone to bed (I still can't keep away from the tutti fruttis!). I hope I can remember to eat when I'm hungry in future and not all day every day and then maybe I won't weigh 2 stone more than my 6ft tall husband at the end of this pregnancy (what I state I got in!!). My EDD will, I think, be 28th May. I always fancied a Spring baby :D

DM and Z - from everything I've heard, having different pregnancy symptoms (like m/s) can be a good sign you're carrying a baby of a different gender this time around! I've asked lots of my friends with both genders and they all said the pregnancies felt very different from the start.

I agree, everyone I know was MUCH more sick with their girls, I think it's a good sign:)

That's a thought I'm trying to push right out of my mind!! I wonder if it's also just something that happens more as you get older - I was in my 20s when I started having babies and now I'm in my mid thirties and my boys have knackered me out! I'm also at a much less healthy starting point! I remember reading somewhere (it might have been while I was snooping around on IG!) that a lady had bad sickness but had had none with her boys so she was convinced it was a girl but it was another boy.

There will always be the exceptions and I can understand you not wanting to get your hopes up!! Having said that it's a very strong trend with my friends and my sister, who I know intimately(!!) was much sicker and it all started very early on - she too refused to believe it meant a girl and I would be the same.....still, I'm allowed to get excited for you!

I'm fine, I've actually chilled so much about the whole thing, I had a while when I thought I'm never going to get pregnant again but now I feel like it will happen whenever it happens (not too long I hope!) it helps that I've really relaxed with the diet and put on a bit of weight (i'm managing to keep my weight at 7.8lbs now), I just hope I've not relaxed the diet too much. As you know the only other things I'm doing are frequent release, aspirin and aspartame so I do feel anxious it's not enough but I need to first get pregnant to have a girl!!! I still can't believe you got preggers with all that stuff going on, it's amazing!! That baby was meant to be for you whatever it is!!:)

swish - I could learn a lot from your zen attitude. You're awesome! I was feeling much more relaxed last week, and I think getting confused about when O was happening + getting sick just made me start getting stressed, which is silly when I can't do anything about it now anyway. I really shouldn't complain when I haven't had to deal with the frustration of long cycles and no ovulation like you have! I'm really praying you ovulate on time this time and get that BFP - I think it would be wonderful for us all to be pregnant together with similar due dates. Instead of complaining about our diets, we can complain about m/s, gas, backaches and constipation :bigsmile:.

If it weren't for the diet, I think I'd be fine waiting several months for my BFP, but I remember when I started this thing I told all my friends I was only going to do it for a month or two because there was no way I was going to starve myself all summer...and look at me now. It's been so long since I ate yummy things without guilt that I barely remember what it feels like - it seems like such a luxury to be able to open the fridge or cupboard and eat anything that takes my fancy. Hopefully we'll all have that again soon.

I think that although I lost alot of weight, it probably made me even healthier (and more fertile!) - because before I was in the overweight range and now I'm in the ideal range! You weigh so little, that's got to sway in itself! FWIW, my mum weighed about that when she conceived us and when my sister and I were little :D I'm so glad you've been able to relax, that's another bonus for your sway :D

Hi ladies! I haven´t been on much, had my inlaws in the house for a week and went on a 2 day study trip by myself (first time after DS2, no I think first time after having kids!). This wasn´t very good for my T, but it was very interesting.
Because of the trip and DH being ´tired´ (:hair:) we missed our fertile window this month, I was very disappointed at first but now my temps aren´t rising so I didn´t even ovulate. Doesn´t have to be the diet or supps, could be the travel aswell. Who knows, maybe my body will try again, but I don´t think so.

Swish, what Cd are you and when do you usually O? We need an -ovulation please- icon on the pink swayers thread!

Zanacal I thought of you today, I have some kind of stomach bug and have been puking (sorry!) a couple of times, so I remembered what it is like to want to get pregnant so much, and then when you are you just feel sick...FX it is a pink bean that´s making you feel bad.

Indira- I'm sorry about your anovulatory cycle:( I've had many of those in the past and it's so confusing.

Z- I really hope your change in symptoms means GIRL!!! My friends that have one of each all say that the pregnancy was different. I'm having pretty much the same symptoms as with my last pregnancy and the 2 before it....I'm holding out some hope for a girl, but I will not be shocked in the slightest if I pop out boy #4 :) I have a great boy name, I know that they will get along really well(my hubby is one of 4 brothers and they all get along really well and we have great family holidays together), and I make cute boys...if I do say so myself!!! LOL Oh and thanks about the ticker! I figured I needed one:)

Mocha- I'm not freaking out now:) I went and found my measuring tape and measured my fundus and I'm right on for 9w:) Yippee!!!!! Not that twins would be horrible or anything...and I sincerely hope you didn't take offense to me not wanting twins:( I had a close friend who had twins(her sister had natural triplets and there had been no history of multiples at all) and I saw how hard it was for her- nursing, traveling, shopping, expense, exhaustion...I just don't know how I would do it. One little nugget at a time please- if I have a say;)
