Im not charting. I just feel like me being who I am, it will stress me out entirely too much.. I use OPKs starting on cd11 (because I always get a positive between cd12 and cd16). Today is cd12 and at 7am this morning it had a very faint line and at 7pm it was unmistakably positive. I immediately got in our first attempt.. Is tomorrow morning too soon to get in round 2? Or should I wait until tomorrow evening just incase I don't ovulate until a day or 2 from now? DH will only give me 2 tries each month, so my next will be my last..
Mommy2apples - He already shows he’s not a baby anymore. He has 2 big brothers to keep up with and he sure can hang with them just fine. He’s the little boss of the house, and right now his favorite/new word is NO lol He tells his brothers NO, NO, NO and points his little finger when he says it :)
LMSM - I feel just like that. Some days it blows my mind how I’m still functioning still. I won’t say I’m weaning yet, but I do ask for my bubbies back lol of course he laughs. I know maybe I’m being funny and encouraging him more. When you weaned did you just let dd cry it out? He’s never took a bottle only a regular cup he drinks from during meals. He nurses all night, during day and for nap times. If I make eye contact he wants to nurse lol
Nacire & Mommy- I nursed DS2 before bed until he was 2! I think it was more of a comfort thing for him & I thought there was no end in sight! I eventually replaced our nighttime routine with singing songs & reading books & the transition was easier than I thought!! BTW, DS2 is a March baby & I think March babies are pretty awesome (not biased or anything 🤣).
Nacire-I thought I remembered you switching to vag temps. I did that mid cycle too many cycles ago & found it to be more accurate. Just wondered if that's why your more recent temps are looking lower than the earlier ones. Was CD13 your 1st vag temp?
LMSM-ooo Fx this chart continues to follow your previous BFP chart!!!
Max-it does seem like it would be really hard to pinpoint O+12 & seems like it would take awhile to get preggo. Maybe it works by pure luck if it ends up being the 1 attempt & the egg is still there & ready to be fertilized??
Lol sounds like my 2 year old! He turned two the end of April Naci!!
Lola: yep I weaned ds2 at 15 months, because he was using me as a pacifier. It took about three days then he was fine with it! My birthday is the 29th of march! Lol and our Anniversary is march too so thought it'd be a pretty cool month to have a baby! lol if only we got to choose!

Nacire-Since you're nursing 3+ times a day, maybe you could wean by dropping 1 feeding at a time. I nursed only before bed for a long time, then eventually replaced with a new nighttime routine that he seemed perfectly happy with-brushing teeth, reading books & singing songs.
Ttc-yay for getting your 1st attempt in!!
Oh TTC good thing you took those opks today then! :) FX todays and tomorrow’s attempt do the trick – if you only get two in since you will at most ovulate in 48h, you probs are better off doing an attempt in the morning (which would be what, 36hrs prior to O at most – likely less) so that if you do ovulate early, you will have had the 2nd attempt before O.
The gurus may chip in with a different view – but if this 2nd attempt is all you will get this cycle (di you then abstain or DH just uses a condom then?) – you are probably better off ensuring you BD when the chances of conception are highest ;)
Mommy-Fx for a March baby!! I know!! I always wanted a summer baby since I'm off for the summer & I wouldn't have to worry about taking maternity leave. I guess the silver lining of having an August, March & now Feb baby IS getting to use the maternity leave...keeps the school year interesting haha.
Oh totally get it – the tiredness was doing my head in, it was so hard at work that I thought I would lose my sanity so instead of abruptly snapping and weaning off cold turkey I thought I owed it to her to do it gently at least (had gotten to the point that the night feeds I started to physically hate- when I used to love the closeness in the still of the night when she was smaller - I just could not cope anymore, to the point I actually felt like ripping her off the breast, it made my skin crawl so bad I thought that is it).
But no, I never did nor ever will do cry it out – regardless of me not being able to cope (hubby was keen with CIO until I explained why it was no good), it’s also that so much research has shown how detrimental it is, I just would not be able to ;)
What I did, is what Lola recommended – I dropped a feed at a time: she had been at daycare since 10 months old, so she had 4 days/week without me during the day so she did take some bottles – so most days I had feeds with her 1st thing in the am, then after dinner before bed then often a few times at night.
So I dropped the one she seemed to care less for, i.e. the morning one – 1st I only offered every other day, until she seemed content – basically didn’t offer didn’t refuse at first but offered bottles instead (at first with some expressed milk then weaned off that gently too).
Then after maybe 10 days or so, we then looked at dropping the day feeds when she was with me (Friday to Sunday) – with the same approach – then finally did the same with the evening one: the night ones she actually accepted better than I thought, and I just told her mummy had no more milk – was sore-ish for a week when we dropped the last feed, and had to express a bit to help avoid mastitis but it went surprisingly well. The whole process was over maybe 5-6 weeks? She hasn’t asked for boob since – she just cuddles instead :)
GL wth that process - it is bittersweet - I was relieved and sad all at once, esp fo rthat very last feed - I got DH to take a pic of us
Lol true Lola!!

Lolabelle - My DH likes to point out that its more a comforting thing for him. I will try and start a good time bed routine for him and see if it helps. He loves singing, and books! I think we all can be raised because all that babies are so awesome no matter the month their born :) I started temping vaginally Cd7, and deleted the af temps which were orally.
Mommy2apples - Aren’t you just amazed at how fast they grow?!! My hubs is from Ohio :)
Naci! It's bittersweet how fast they grow! So fun to watch them learn though, but hard at the same time!
So cool! Which part of Ohio?

LMSM - so much emotion and I can feel it just by reading how you felt. I think for me it’s a little harder because I’m a SAHM, so it’s hard to just drop a feeding. I will try and start to keep him a little more busy. I do think he will nurse more if he gets bored of big brother (5 yr old). I think with a solid routine it may help us more. She just learned to cuddle sounds like a distant dream lol I bet it was bittersweet, but necessary.
Mommy2apples - Parma, Ohio we try and visit once a year, but being in Hawaii it's super expensive to fly back mainland. They just came and stayed with us back in February to see the kiddos :)
That is so cool of you to try to make it once a year! lol I'd rather be in Hawaii!!

Nacire-I can def see how it would be harder trying to wean as a SAHM. DS2 was in daycare for 5 days as a 3 month old in May before my school year was over and then again as a 6 month old when I went back to work. It was easier to drop those day feedings on the weekends since he was getting the bottle at daycare. It was bittersweet stopping, but I was trying to get AF to return so I could ttc #3 so I had a mission lol ;) GL-just do what feels right for you & DS!!
LMSM-you mentioned mastitis...eek, I had the worst infection & ended up in the hospital for 2 days. Had an abscess & minor I&D surgery! Terrible pain ouch! Only time I've ever been in the hospital besides babies.
True dat :P it’s honestly the highlight of my day picking them up at daycare – little one drops everything runs over to me saying “Mummyyyyy” and demands a cuddle by climbing on me haha love it, she always was a cuddly one, and a Mama’s girl, but she definitely has been even more cuddly after we weaned – and that’s fine by me, they are only little for so little time ;) It sounds like a dream said like that but she has her tanties in the middle of the night now if I don’t give her a bottle at times – which is hard to not cavee in for – I offer an alternative (water, dummy, cuddly blanket etc) – so I def think the key is redirecting attention, offering an alternative..so
I do think that distracting your DD2’s attention will definitely help for the day feeds – I can sympathise, when you are together 24/7 there is nowhere to “hide” lol you got this mama ;)
Mommy & Nacire-my DH is from Ohio! Of course he loves the the buckeyes & Cleveland Cavaliers. He's watching the game right now [emoji459]

Lolabelle - My hubs too! He was on a flight to Korea on Friday so he couldn't watch. I emailed him they won because he couldn't watch, and maybe he should't watch this game:bigsmile:He is superstitious when it comes to he's sports teams. Like he'll ask if he drank a beer last game or if he didn't to determine what he does for the game he's watching.lol
Mommy2apples They'd rather be here, and we'd rather be here too lol We haven't visited since being in Hawaii.
lol don't blame you or them!

Nacire-Haha my DH can be like that with football games. Once he made me stay up & watch a game with him saying they'd lose if I didn't 🤣
Lolabelle - totally sounds like my hubs:bigsmile: Good ole mind control lol
Hi all! Sorry I ended up going into work today and have a really busy afternoon ahead but will come on later tonight :) may not get caught up though so if anyone was looking for opinions or advice can you please just repost your question? Hope you've all had a wonderful day or evening or in between 😂

We have sex every 4 days but he wears a condom or pulls out. Since he doesn't want another baby, it was all I could do to talk him into 2 attempts each month. Also I don't know if it makes a difference, but I use clear blue OPKs. Not sure if they are more likely to detect the surge sooner or after other OPKs? And my cycles are currently averaging 26 days, if that in any way can help predict when O may happen. Thank you for getting back to me quickly! I'll set my alarm and try to catch dh before he has to work in the morning
Ttcblue I second everything LMSM says! Would be awesome if you can get an a.m. bd in!! Ds2 was conceived with two attempts - night of pos opk and following morning so good luck and blue dust!!!

DH was called in early to work today and I had no idea. Of all days!!!! Had my alarm set for 7am and didn't know he had already left at 6:30. Will it still be a good second attempt if we get it in right after he gets home? It would be approximately 24 hours after my first positive OPK, but I did take another at 7 this morning (I always do 7am and 7pm) and it's still positive. Should I even take another OPK this evening, or just get another attempt in ASAP?
:celebrate: UPDATE: :celebrate: Dh came home from work for his lunch break and we got our second attempt in. So 18 hours after my first positive opk/our first attempt.. Ovulation pains started about an hour prior to him getting home. I'm not sure what this means, but :fx: and
Hello ladies! I see a few familiar faces in here, but just wanted to ask a quick question: I had my son in May 2016 (thanks GD!) and breastfed him for a year. So, just got my first pp period in May. It took us 3 rounds of Clomid to conceive him and the last round ovulation was SO painful. Fast forward, we are NOT trying, but with my difficulties last time, not preventing. Anyway, Sunday afternoon I felt so bloated, and sore and just almost like I had to pee but didn't (no UTI, I feel fine now!). My question is, anyone who has taken Clomid before, did you notice future ovulations felt different? Or even, post baby did they feel different? Maybe it's not the Clomid, but the face that I've had a baby. It would have been CD19 (and we DTD the morning before[emoji51]). Any insight from you mamas is appreciated!
Good luck to all of you this month and lots of baby dust! [emoji178][emoji170]
Ttcblue I'm so happy to see your update about lunchtime bd!!!! Woohoo you did fantastic lady and definately have your two attempts in 🎉🎉🎉💙💙💙
@TaytumJ hi there 👋 and that's a name from the past I haven't seen for awhile 😀 Glad to hear all is well! For me ovulation pain varies month to month but by far the one that hurt the most was one of my 5/6 clomid cycles. Felt I was literally going to burst and same sensation of feeling like I needed to pee but nothing would come. It was extremely uncomfortable and lasted a couple days. That cycle I definately released more than one egg (confirmed by bw) Previous to this one and following clomid cycles though were nothing at all like that. And non clomid cycles the same. I always get o pain that I can identify but how long and sharp the pains are varies month to month. Also I've gotten o pains day before or day of o as well (confirmed by temping) So basically its my long winded way of saying maybe you released more than one egg in your first ovulation since return of cycle. Or maybe your body was abit 'stiff' and needs a few rounds to get all the pieces greased and working smoothly again 😂 Have you tried googling? I'm sure there'd be plenty of forums with ladies asking the same question in the same scenario as you. I don't think it had anything at all to do with the clomid as it will have been well out of your system but possibly is first ovulation after cycle return related xxoo

Maxim and Nacire even though its early days I like the direction your charts are heading 😀
Mummy2boys do you think you've oed? Hard to tell with the missing temps but cd13 is certainly possible. Cant wait to see more temps!
Shinay I'm not sure you're still popping in but really hoping this latest dive in temps results in a full proper af. It's the lowest your temp has been in 54 days. I have everything crossed so tight for you!
Mummy2apples hopefully you'll o quicker than last cycle 😀 but of not only 2 weeks'ish away! When do you usually o on non clomid cycles?
Iwant4kids when do you usually start feeling the side affects you experience from clomid? Also what cd did you usually ovulate around prior to last cycles mc?

Thanks PBN! I sure hope so. Temps were showing on ff cycle day 19-20 I think. I'll do screen shots and you can tell me. I don't really know anything about it. I wasn't using opks then though.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9980b12a11.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...524dd7cd4a.pnghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8c8bad08e9.png

Pbn3 - I'm very unsure and not very hopeful with such a slow rise after ovulation :( I did read on Google (I should stay off Google) that slow temp rise after ovulation can be from low progesterones?.. I know there is probably a number of things that can lead to it. I know my temp is rising and thats a good sign :) I took my temp 2 maybe even 3 times in a row and got the same temp just to be certain. Should I still take OPK today?
Whoo hoo!!!!!!! Also I just remembered, dh did not use a condom when we bd on Saturday (we dtd every 4 days and he forgot to bring condoms on vacation with us! ;) ) Since I got my positive ovulation test just 2 days later, would that also fall within the fertile period, or do all 3 attempts have to be after a positive opk?
Nacire I would not consider that a slow rise at all! I will attach an example of a slow rise chart. You're 2/3dpo and even though its difficult to 'see' because of your higher pre o temps make it harder there is a definate shift. Your temps are going in the right direction 😀 try and relax a little, you got an attempt in at the very best time so you have an excellent chance of a bfp. Now its the waiting game which is hard and makes us analyse every single thing but trust me, in relation to your chart its so far so good. I see nothing concerning or 'off'. Give it a few more days to get established :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a2668bb48d.jpg

Yes, that's right!! Oh my I'm sooo excited! He has no idea Saturday counts, I didn't even realize that until just now! I'm not telling either! ;)
Pbn3 - Thank you for the reassurance. I think it's because I don't know what I'm looking for so it leaves me frustrated. I know thats what your here for all that knowledge on chart reading  I will take a chill pill and relax:cool:
