Mummy- hope the 6 weeks goes quickly for you!
How is everyone? Who still has to test?
Thank you. I'm even considering taking the boys for a short visit to see daddy sometime over the next 4 weeks [emoji6][emoji23] it's about a 3 hour drive. Is that crazy?!
How are you? Remind me if you are temping or not?
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4216d8
No it's not crazy! I'm sure he'd appreciate it too :)
Yes I'm temping but only started this month so I'm interested to see what happens
Just catching up on the last couple of days...its been a busy couple of days so not had chance to check in.
Nebethetepet - huge congratulations
Mummy - that's not crazy at all, I too would visit. It would be great for you all and also you may get some cheeky attempts in
Babybeablue - good luck for your attempt, I have everything crossed for you :fx:
CD4 for me today so it's back to the OPKs soon :sigh:
Had my recent smear test results back which kinda through me on Friday, I have tested positive for hpv virus so have to be re-tested next year, rather than 3 years. I got totally upset and paranoid as no other info was given and I didn't know about this virus or what it meant. I managed to speak to a nurse and she said its extremely common and not too worry that it lays dorment in some ppl for many years and it may just go away on its own but they will keep a closer eye on me. It just worries me that I could have had it for many years and as I have never been tested for it before its unknown how long it's been there. And obviously the risk of it being related to cervical cancer
Mummy, I'm rooting for you!!! I had the same thing with my DH this summer - he works in NYC and we have a beach house where I take the girls for several months, so we only see each other on the weekends...my plan was to drive into the city if I got a positive OPK while he was gone. Do what you need to do! :)
Fingers crossed for you all you ladies!!
Mommy, how is the cycle going without temping and opk's? So excited for you!!!
Max, just kind of going with the flow this month. It's actually nice not to have the stress of the opks and temping.

Happylea is that the same thing they are now vaccinating school girls against? Is it ok in pregnancy? I would have freaked out too.
Babybeablue yes it is, the nurse reassured me but still worried about it. She also said I could have had it since I was 18 years old (having never been tested I don't know how long I have had it) but I have had 5 babies since then so I assumed it was OK.
I read up on it and it's says it's OK to have babies. It said can cause pre cancerous cells and also says can cause fertility issues and problems carrying to full term. I had no abnormal cells which is a relief.
The only thing I'm not sure of is there are many strains of this virus and I don't know which strain I have tested positive for, I don't have any warts are anything. The nurse said that 2 strains I think the numbers are like 16&18 (don't quote me on the numbers as they could be incorrect) that are higher risk and that is what they look for in the test. So assume I tested positive for those :worry:
So then any of us could have it :/ that's scary. I had an abnormal smear before any of my pregnancies and it really does frighten u.
What made them test for it this time?
Babybeaublue - it's now a routine check they do with the smear, they rolled it out a few years ago. when I had my last smear the hpv test wasn't part of it, also different areas rolled it out at different times.
Absolutely frightening, after your abnormal smear was everything ok?
In had to have a colposcopy done. Then wait a year before ttc. I had a smear last year and it was ok. I wonder if they tested me?
Hope everything goes ok for you :)
Thank you max! Wow that sounds lovely taking your girls to the beach house for a few months! Bet they love it. I will probably try and do like you and drive over to see him if I get a positive opk. Hopefully it will be before I'm back in work in September! How are you? I saw your other post, sounds really scary, hope you are okay.
Happylea, I had abnormal cells years and years ago, I had them treated and fingers crossed everything has been fine since. I had yearly smears for 5 years and now I've gone back to every 3 years. I've just had my recent one and they didn't mention the hpv test so mustn't be doing it yet in my area. I believe it is really common though, an old boyfriend of mine had it when I had the abnormal cells, so I may have had it too.

Thanks mummy! I'm taking it one day at a time...praying that it resolves on its own like it sounds has happened to others. But my goodness it has given me quite a scare!

Happylea - sorry to hear about the hpv :( From what I've heard about it, as long as you keep getting regular pap smears, they can identify any abnormal cells that develop & remove them before they become a bigger problem. I used to have an OBGYN who always told me that most people who get very serious/ advanced cervical cancer go for years and years w/o getting pap smears & that with regular screening, it's pretty preventable.
Uggh I'm finding it harder to maintain the LE diet & exercise during the TWW. I've been doing 5 days a week of exercise throughout my sway but now that we're ttc I'm reaaaaally struggling to maintain my motivation. I'm doing ok on calories & protein, but my fat totals the past two days have been high (low 60's). And my husband bought mini Chips Ahoy tonight and b/c I'm trying to do mostly PCOS diet (which I've also slipped on lately...), I'm not supposed to have sweets, but oops, ate 1 full serving from the bag! :( :( In summary - I need to be pregnant soon b/c I can feel cracks forming in my willpower!!! :)
Hugs abc!

You're doing great ABC! Don't beat yourself up - this happens! Just pick everything up where you left off and forget about it!
I found having planned cheats before AF helped me. I gave myself 2-3 days of a pity party worked. TTC is so HARD!

Thanks for the encouragement, all!! Hoping I can hold strong until I get that BFP :)
That's a nice rise in temp Abc especially seeing as you're in the prime time for implantation [emoji3] (between 6-10dpo)
Mummy2boys I'm really hoping you've oed giving you an attempt. Was the open circle temp on cd20 taken earlier or later than usual .... I know you didn't get a pos opk but you said you got close to one cd17 was it? Fx you oed cd19/20....... need to see next few days temps to get a better idea but cant hurt to hope!

I know what you mean, I've no willpower left at all abc! Hope you get your bfp soon.
Hi Pbn, I've definitely not ovulated, I was hoping I might have when my temp went up a little bit yesterday but it's back down today. Still had no ewcm and that's strange for me too. It's certainly a strange cycle this time!
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/4216d8
Pbn - temp dropped back to 97.72 this morning, maybe not a good sign?
ABC, my temps were a bit all over the place as well...don't stress too much about it!
Thanks maximbella... I know I'm overthinking things! With my boys I was not at all stressed out during the tww - I need to take that approach this time! How are you feeling?
On the plus side I got on the scale yesterday and I'm at 29 lbs of weight loss since I started my sway! Only 1 lb away from 30! Pretty excited about that as I've never lost that amount of weight over one time period before. Granted, it was basically all weight that I had put on over the past few 5 years with two pregnancies and I'm basically just back to the weight that I've spent much of my life at, but it still feels good! If I didn't conceive this cycle then whenever I do conceive I'll be at my lowest conception weight - hopefully just another little factor that will help in conceiving a DD!
Hope everyone is well!

Great job abc!! So happy for you! Losing weight is amazing and a great thing for conceiving your sweet baby girl!

Thanks, Mommy.
Ugggggh, crap. I just had some real spotting - I think it's AF spotting too b/c now I'm feeling like I have AF cramps a bit too. And I had that slight temp dip this morning. :( But I'm only 8 dpo so if I do start AF in the next couple of days my LP was really too short this cycle. It's always short (like 10-11 days) but under days 10 - that's not good!! :worry:
So many hugs and 🤞🏻[emoji1317] af doesn't show!

Hey everyone - I'm trying to work out what DPO I am. Recent illness delayed my ovulation, and I only got a positive OPK on cd21. Which means I'm now 9 days after that positive OPK. Any idea what DPO I might be? The OPK was negative on cd22, and my preg test today was negative, hoping that means I'm more like 7-8 DPO rather than 9! Thanks

Bepan you'd likely be 7dpo possibly only 6dpo. Ovulation generally takes place day after pos opk so 1dpo is 2 days after pos opk if that makes sense. You may have oed 2nd day after pos opk too which would mean you're only 6dpo :)

Hi Babybeaublue!
Welp, HUGE temp drop this morning and very, very negative FRER. :( I think I'm out. I'm ok with that but I'm more stressed right now about my LP.... If I start tomorrow it will have only been 8 days this cycle.... Wondering if swaying is making it shorter... Hmm.
Aww abc! 🤞🏻[emoji1317] anyways!

Sorry abc! Have you started a new topic for atomic?
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/24dd4d

Maximbella yea I think I'll ask her about it. Will wait to see when AF starts and if I even make it to 10 days of an LP. This is the 2nd cycle where things seem a little "off". Last cycle, it was one day shorter than normal and I had a little spotting beforehand. Before swaying, I never spotted before AF and that seems to be happening more now. I already have really short, very consistent cycles & a shorter LP, so even little changes throw me off a lot!
Abc I'm sorry [emoji853] if af starts tomorrow that will give you a 9 day lp? Swaying can definately affect your cycle. A 10 day lp is fine but I too would be nervous if mine fell below that [emoji848] especially if you're used to a 12-14 day lp.
Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Pbn3 - yea I'm nervous. It was 10 days when I conceived my boys so it has always been short but not less than 10. I think if it happens next cycle I'll call the doctor. I've told him once before that I have a short LP and short cycles and he mentioned progesterone supplements. But atomic says Clomid is used now for short LP too and I'd rather that for my sway! :) :) (Although I'd be terrified of getting twins!!)
Ugh I'm sooooo PMS-y right now too and I never get PMS anymore!!!! What's going with this cycle?! I'm not a fan :(
