LMSM-don't be discouraged with the Doppler! It took me some time to find it! Try low on your abdomen around the bikini line area.
Ash-so exciting for DH to feel your girlie move!! [emoji177]
Kat-your dad will happy for you, especially if you're happy! Let us know how the reveal goes.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day!!
Morning ladies!
Bluedreaming – if you are otherwise feeling ok, eating well and plenty of nutrients, feeding your DD will not detriment the baby – as long as you follow your body’s cues and that of your DD, I really see no counter indication to nursing – some women may find they have some contractions when nursing/expressing but if not and you are healthy there is no reason to stop…
Women have been tandem nursing for – well forever – so if it works for you, I’d say go for it! Second the idea of ringing the Australian breastfeeding association – they are awesome – you may even have a local chapter with some volunteers that you can see close to you ^^
Iwant4 – Dorevich? I was told to call my doc – do you think it’s worth calling the number I have at QML (well, the dedicated NIPT number that I rang to pay etc)…? Sooo nervous!
How exciting or your scan – can’t wait to hear – and see that nub shot hehe – as am sure you are :D
Kat – oh I’m sure your Dad will be just as besotted with a girl – he may have wished a boy for your sake, just to experience that, rather than really have a desire for one of the other ;)
Agree we haven’t had much success by way of blue sways haha would love to fall into the successful category but we shall see – now I am actually more nervous about being told there may be an issue, so much so am having nightmares about it – so I guess it puts things in the right place, and shows my priority definitely is healthy above anything else – would be over the moon with boy of course but would love a girl just as much ;)
Oh and we need some bump pics!
Ladies in the final stretch – how are you feeling – any signs of your lovely babies making their grand entrance soon?
Thank You LMSM

Lola – I somehow missed your post! Thanks hon ;) I will leave the Doppler be and try again this weekend – giving bub a few more days to grow bigger and hide less haha
Ok – so rang QML – results not ready yet – gaaaah!
And rang the hospital as got my 1st appointment letter – which won’t be until end of November at 22 weeks! – so was worried about if I got a spot in the Midwifery group practice (since the appointments are not at hospital) – couldn’t get a hold of the MGP but the antenatal clinic lady told me it is likely because they are full around my DD so didn’t get a spot – am soooo disappointed – I sent my referral at 6 weeks, am low risk, am a repeat patient at the hospital – just feel like crying :(
That's ridiculous (sorry!) they aren't different. If anything, expressing means you are probably getting less out than breastfeeding would (as a pump isn't always as efficient). I'd keep going if all is going well :)

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone in US had a fun Labor Day weekend. We were mainly at home staying cool.
LMSM - [emoji30][emoji30][emoji30] for the wait. I have been coming here to see your update the entire weekend every chance I got. [emoji52] I am praying that you hear boy. Don't listen to dh. [emoji4][emoji4]Like Kat said, we need a successful boy sway[emoji170]🤞🤞so hard for you.
Iwant4kids- How was the scan. Pls send an update soon.
Kat - I know what you feel.I am sure your dad will be super excited for you. Dads are pretty amazing that way. I wish you hear all positive things at your gender reveal. Do let us know how it went.
Bluedreaming - I also don't think that there should be any problem but I would suggest talking to someone at the breastfeeding helpline for your peace of mind.
Ash - How cute. I only feel light flutters sometime so far. Can't wait for dd and dh to experience it too. She will be sooo thrilled.
Gabrielsmunmy - Welcome. Congratulations. Like everyone asked, Did you sway?? [emoji4]

Just perfect Iwant4!! ;)
These were the best shots I could get from the video....any good? I have no idea
Bluedreaming - I second ringing ABA! They will know for sure.
LMSM - Yes i rang the line that I rang to pay and they told me what time and day the results were sent to the Dr. That way I knew they would have them without hassling them everyday LOL Sorry about not getting in, could this change?
Mommy - Hope the app on the 14th goes well. Hopefully you have a BFP by then though x
Thanks for the feedback on my dolls. Can't wait to share my latest project with you tomorrow, it's how we are announcing on FB and I'll send text messages to friends/family too. Just need to take a photo in the daylight.
It's going to be a long 8 week wait until the next scan to confirm gender!
Watched the You Tube videos on here of what to look for and the nub looks girly....tried to get some screen shots, but most were when bub was upside down.
Posted some videos here:

Iwant4, she's perfect! :awe:
LMSM, I'm on pins and needles waiting for you to find out!!! :)
My girls started school today. My baby is in kindergarten, I don't know how it happened. I was a crying fool this morning, of course after she walked into her class with a smile. It's just so hard for me to see them grow up, I don't know why!! :) Yesterday I spent the day with the girls getting them organized for today. I think I did a bit too much as spotting has started again. Augh this is really a roller coaster. My appointment is next week on the 14th - praying that baby is healthy and the hematoma is on it's way out!
4blue2pink-I couldn't imagine waiting until birth to tell anyone. I always show too much to hide it.
Skyblue. Yes I'm due Feb 5th but I generally go overdue so I know it'll be much later. I don't mind warmer weather but we're in that fun time where one day its 50 outside and the next its 85. So everyone in my house is sick.
Kat1234- Sorry you didn't hear the gender you wanted but congrats on your girl. I haven't put too much into the wives tales symptoms because my first 2 pregnancies were absolute opposites and both were girls and this one is a mix and I'm carrying way different and its also a girl. So we can have 3 girls together. Also literally EVERYONE during EVERY pregnancy I've had told me they hoped it would be a boy. I feel like girls are so underrated and they're so much fun so I don't really get it lol.
Welcome Gabrielsmommy!
Ash that's exciting! I can't wait for my SO to be able to feel the baby too.
Maxi-My youngest also started kindergarten this year and my oldest started middle school (which is 4th grade for our district) so I had 2 big blows at once. I'm glad I'm having a baby soon so I get to start all over. I hope the bleeding stops soon that can be so nerve racking.
Iw4k! Thanks won't have a bfp by then will be in fertile week hopefully!
Aww max it's hard when they are growing up!

mommato3 i live away from all my family and friends and im a full time mum so no work colleagues etc so i guess it makes it easy for me to not tell :) i do have a facebook but dont post anything till birth announcement so thats when my friends and family find out, i have done it different in the past, announcing during the pregnancy but i just cant be bothered with anyones negative reactions, this is baby #8 and they are all very close age wise with my eldest only being 7 and neither a large family or close spacings are really the done "thing" i find people are much more positive when there is a cute baby picture to go with the announcement!!
thats really interesting that people said they hoped for a boy for you every time, was that even with your first baby? over here (uk) i feel girls really are the trophy gender, there is always more stuff stocked for girls than boys and not just clothes, even Congratulations/new baby cards!! and people seem so much more enthusiastic over someone having a girl than a boy, its stupid really isnt it, either be happy for them or keep your mouth shut :-/
Eekkkk Iwant4kids so girly!

Mommaxo3 - I get the same thing, people thinking I'm carrying a boy, always cracks me up! And I'm very excited about 3 girlies, just a tad sad about not having a son.
4b2p - that's amazing - 8 kiddos in 7 years!! I need more info. Do y'all just not protect and easily get pregnant right after birth? How old is your youngest? I don't know why I didn't know yours were so young/close in age! Love it! Do you know if #8 is your last? We have a family that lives behind us of 7, with the oldest being 10 and I just watch them out our window with envy sometimes [emoji175]

Afternoon all! Just got caught up. Congrats and welcomes to all. It has been crazy trying to get back into the school swing of things with the kids and changing things up with DH having to do school bus drop off and pick up. DS4 is going to be starting pre-school in October in prep for the new baby, so it will be a huge change for him. Hope he does ok. He has been home with DH his whole life (all 2 years of it ;) )
My four year old was with me his whole life! He cried the first day of preschool and now he just loves it and thinks it's awful he can't go to school on the weekends! Lol
Anyways hope your little guy will love preschool just as much!

Aww mommy I just took ds3 for his first day of pre-k [emoji24] he was so excited me not so much. I bawled and couldn't sleep last night all I'm thinking is what if he has to poop at school and gets scared/worried because he isn't the best at wiping his own butt!
4b2p my grandma had 5 in 8yrs! I don't know how she did it with my grandpa working on the railroad and being gone all the time... in the meantime of her having 5kids he had 3 more with another woman on the other end of the road where he worked [emoji849] she stayed with him up until he passed just a month ago! Back then she said he had to sign a paper for her to get her tubes tied and he wouldn't do it! For me I think 5 kids in 10 years is plenty with my husbands schedule. After school is the worst/craziest most stressful time of the day [emoji12] I don't think I can handle more

Aww ash! It's so hard when our babies are growing up. It breaks my heart and makes me proud all at the same time. I understand what you mean, because Kolton is really good at wiping his butt, but he has us roll him paper four times so he can wipe really good, and I don't believe the teachers would that for him. It's hard because you wonder how they will treat your babies. They expect them to grow so much faster than what we do!

kat we dont use birth control and funnily enough i honestly feel the first time we ever "tried" for a baby was when we swayed, before then i had never taken an opk in my life, i dont chart or anything and we used to just bd and bfp would happen at some point :) i think you call it not trying-not preventing or something? but we had to drop that and switch to opk's to be more organised for swaying!! haha
as for falling pregnant after birth i normally get my periods back around 9-11 weeks after the birth and generally fall pregnant again when baby is around 6-8 months old, my exception to this is when i lost my daughter at 18 weeks, i fell pregnant 4/5 weeks after her birth and ended up with both her and then DS2 who followed next being born in the same year-not twins.
yes they are super close in age!! 2010, 2011(loss), 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and due again 2017
my youngest is 10 almost 11 months old  she will be 1 in October :) and there will be 14 months between her and baby which i always think of as my "average" age gap :) all being well #8 wont be our last, i would say certainly 1 more to end on an even number of 8 at home (9 in total) and then see where we are at, im 27 now and could have 1 more and be done at 28, a big part of me has always wanted to be done with pregnancy/babies before 30 im not even really sure why..
aww thats lovely that you know such a big family :) and thankyou for being supportive of it aswell  you wouldnt believe the negativity towards big families :( though am i right in thinking it is a more normal thing in the US? i have noticed there are quite a few american youtubers with large families, your 3 girls will have their own little gang going in a couple of years time once baby is able to join in :D how old are your girls?
Ash thats crazy about your grandad haha 3 extra kids!! your grandma must be a very forgiving lady!! after school is a complete nightmare time of day :(
no matter what the age gaps 5 kids is a big family :) i think you know when you are done/ready to be done dont you and to top it off your finishing with your little girl which is just perfect
4b2p I've always and dh also have wanted to be done at 30 so we can still have time to enjoy each other once they're grown. I got him talked into one more when he was 31 lol but I said I'm still 30! But no the negativity is still a huge issue here towards big families. I feel like I love all of my kids I give them everything the need and want in occasion, I can afford them, and I take care of them so it shouldn't be anyone else's issue.

Hello lovelies,
Lots to catch up on!
Iwant4 – it’s def harder to see the nub upside down, but it does look girly nevertheless – so cute! :D looking forward to seeing your project/announcement – am sure it is precious!
I rang Genomics yesterday and results weren’t in – so I think I will skip today and try again tomorrow before I start massively harassing haha
I want to clear the girls’ closets – but want to know if I have to keep some girly stuff or I can get rid of it :P
I will try the midwifery group practice again today (left them a VM yesterday mid-morning but they didn’t return my call yet) so will try them again later today – if I persist I may be able to get a spot, if nothing else if someone cancels! But not holding my hopes up alas…
Max – oh I can sympathise, it’s hard seeing them grow up, as much as it is a pride to see them become more and more independent little people, part of us always would like to hold on to that time where they were tiny. Am sure it will get easier for you over the days, especially if she is enjoying it so much ;) sorry you had spotting again, hopefully that is just the hematoma finishing to flush itself out and you will be in the all clear next week!! Can’t wait for you to have your scan ^^
Mommy2apples – how was schools start for your kids? I can see you are now out of AF so you can get started on BD as you please – and attempt time will there soon! FX!!
Mommaxo3– what a big day for you indeed! Not too sure of the schooling system in the US – but sounds like you had an emotional day too ;)
4blue2pink - it’s funny here and over where our family is (France) – it’s all about having a boy – I had the same reactions – everyone was wishing me a healthy baby boy – each time. Here, when we told my FIL when they were over, he was happy and emotional at the prospect but straightaway said “it’d be good if it was a boy” – it made my blood boil I tell ya…
Can’t ever win. I guess the whole “family legacy/name” thing etc is a strong factor.
We did announce pregnancy around 20 weeks – but never gender – that was at birth and you’re right, once there is an actual baby there, no nasty comments over gender or name - ;)
My hat off to you – 8 in 7 years – in awe! And you’re so young too (had my first at 28.5 y.o though we did start ttc when I was 25) :awe: we’ll have three kiddies under 5 and that’s already going to be a handful :P but would love a 4th kiddo (well, I say that now haha) – not sure I’ll manage to convince hubby – he turns 40 in June next year and not sure he would agree after that milestone, it’s kinda his limit – we shall see!
Shann – how are you feeling?
Ash – cheeky grandpa!! Lol having said that, my dad – who only has one sister – found out after his dad passed 15 years ago that he actually had a couple of illegitimate siblings born whilst he was married to my grandma – I don’t think they have a relationship – but seems it is more common than what one might think ^^
AFM – 11 weeks today! :D less than 2 weeks before the NT scan – so getting rather impatient :P
Have a lovely evening/morning all!
Iwant4-cute baby girl!! [emoji175]
Max-take care of yourself!! Sure hope that hematoma just goes away!! How long are you supposed to be on bedrest?
Kat-you're going to have such a cute family of girlies! I have 2 coworkers with 3 girl families & they're just adorable! Each one has such a distinct personality [emoji4]
Not much new here. Just ready for my anatomy scan next Friday & looking at nursery decor. I'm a little nervous about this monster hurricane out in the Atlantic!! I'm in South Carolina & right now it's looking like it'll make US landfall...they're guessing Florida, but you just never know!! Wish it would go out to sea!!! Praying it doesn't head this way & hope we don't have to evacuate ugh. Went to the store today & the water bottle shelves are already almost empty!!!
Actually just got a call back – seems I have a spot pending confirmation I am ok for the program so am waiting on the phone call from the middie tomorrow :D gaaaahhhh!
Oh Lola – not long before your scan – can imagine how impatient you are!! :D
FX this hurricane stays put and you and your loved ones are out of harm’s way!!!
So scary Lola! Prayers the hurricane does take a turn and go to sea instead would be nice!

Lmsm! They love school thankful. Ds2 cried the first day, but now he just loves school and thinks it's awful he can't go to school on the weekend. He only goes for two hours a day, and loves the other little kids! Excited he's adapted so well. Dd she's always been outgoing so she just loves school as well and ds1 well I think he just goes because he must. He does like when he puts on his football uniform on Friday because all the girls swarm around him. Lol teenagers!
Thanks lmsm! Hope so! Yes will begin attempts soon, probably tomorrow although that won't count but will get me on the e4d attempts and really hoping that opks work out this cycle! 🤞🏻

4blue2pink I also am in awe of big families. One of my good friends had 6 six kids and they are all so close and now grown up with families of their own. Christmas time looks an absolute blast at their place!
Lola hope the hurricane stays well away! Cant wait for some pics from your scan!
LMSM woohoo for getting a spot!! So happy for you! I know you were really bummed when it looked like you'd missed out! Am on the edge of my seat waiting for your result and by all means be the crazy lady who rings on a daily basis [emoji23] chances are you'll get a different operator each time anyway [emoji6]
Maxim definately take it easy especially for a few days! Would be awful to see the spotting again [emoji853] but a few days of full resting will help if you can do it. Cant wait to hear tbe hematoma is shrinking nicely at your next appt.
Ash totally agree that its no one's business how big your family is!
Sorry to hear all the ladies who had their littlies go off to school. It really is a bittersweet moment [emoji173] I remember ds1's first day of school this year. I spent theday watching the clock and wondering how he was going, wishing I could've stayed and watched him all day [emoji853]. As for the poo thing he always waits till he gets home [emoji23] and at 5.5 still has trouble sometimes wiping his butt clean [emoji38]
Off to do some much needed housework [emoji13] have a great day/night all and big hello to everybody [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847]

ash i get that and its a similar feeling for me i dont know why 30 feels like the milestone age but for some reason it does! maybe its because i got pregnant with my first at 19 so ive dedicated my 20's to pregnancy/babies and feel like once i hit 30 its time for the next chapter :)
im sorry its still a big issue over there :( i was under the impression it was a much more accepted thing, and yes why is it anyone else's concern when the children are happy and well cared for in a nice loving home that is financially stable. i swear some people just like to be rude to others and no matter what they will always find a reason!
LMSM i can imagine france being quite pro-boy as its a traditional place but i am shocked to hear that about Aus! i assumed itd be the same as UK with girls being preferred.
Yes no negative name comments at birth either! :D whereas it seems to be open season if someone reveals name choices before the birth..
3 under 5 will be hard at first but once you get past them being so dependant and demanding it will be fab :D they will have so much in common being so close age wise
and thankyou  it took me almost a year to conceive my first which given my age at the time was a little worrying.. there is also quite a strong history of fertility issues and in some cases very early menopause (30's) in the family so i feel incredibly lucky to have been able to have my babies without ivf or other fertility help, i hope you and dh can agree on #4 :) fingers crossed you can talk him round if its still what you want after #3 when do you find out gender for this one? thats great about the midwife practice :D
thankyou Pbn :) christmas is never quiet thats for sure!!
Lola i hope it doesnt hit where you are, stay safe xx
