i think its the moon phase so from the new moon to the full moon,

yesterday it was 80 degrees with a really nice breeze and I was LOVING it...so over winter, so ready for Spring! This year Easter is on my birthday too! This happened 5 years ago, when I was preggo with DS1. Kind of funny to have it happen again, on another year that I'm pregnant as well.

Coocoobanannas~ I don't think it makes much difference if you strated the Vitex now. A couple of pills is not going to delay your AF from showing up. You do however, need to be 110% sure you are not preggo if you are going to start. Maybe take an IC just to be sure!
AFM, I am still incredibly thirsty. Right after our attempt I started feeling a little sick and now have some chest congestion and a bit of a cough. Wondering if the thirst is from that or a BFP on its way? I don't know, all I know is I'm thirsty llike I am taking cold medication that dries you out except I'm NOT!! What do you ladies think?

Temp finally dropped this morning to 97.72. On cd3. Do you girls mind looking over my sway plan this month if you get a sec on "review my plan" section. I believe the moon phases has some impact. My parents are a perfect example of the almost 80% ratio according to the researcher in the lunaception thread, where one researcher (who then I believe wrote a book about it) noticed that 80% of children concieved in full moon were boys, 80% concieved in new moon girls, etc. (Remember this is just one lady's research claims, OK?)
I used my siblings and I as guinea pigs to see how this worked. I used a retro due date calculator on the web and using our birthdays, they give you an approx date of conception. My mom said that none of us were late or early, we were all born right around the time the Doctor said we would.
So going by that this is what I got:
Sister 1-new moon
Sister 2-full moon
Brother 1-full moon
Me-new moon
So the moon was 75% right in this case; it had 3 out of 4 of us in the right phase.
There are definitely other factors at play here. My sister 2 was concieved in full moon, but my parents had a lot of habits that increased their chances of girls. My Dad was a heavy smoker during the years we were made; Mom ate breakfast late, around noon, she only had toast with a smidgen of butter and then didn't eat again until dinner time! Her and my dad were both very calm, chilled out people. I'm sure my Dad has low T; ive never heard him raise his voice, get in argument, he's always been very quiet and wanting to be left alone.
So I'm sure there were more reasons than just the moon for why my parents had 3 girls. Looking at my parents history, I think their concieving my brother was quite miracilous, and I truly think the full moon might have helped them with my brother, lol. They needed all the help they could get!
I'm not saying the moon is a deal breaker, I just truly believe it does sway some, but of course we don't know much it sways or even really "why" it would sway.
Just my 2 cents on the subject.
I just gotta chime in and point out that the "moon phases" as defined by Lunaception (which has to do with the actual hours of light coming from the moon and gradually changes as the moon waxes and wanes) and "moon phases" as defined by IG (which is supposedly "ions" that suddenly and drastically change the day after the new moon and the day after the full moon) are two entirely different things.
That is what IG claims, but Lunaception suggests that it is the LIGHT of the moon that matters and not "ions" and so whenever the moon is very small and not giving off much light, and/or dark, that counts as new moon, whenever it is big and bright it counts as full moon.Quote:

I used just a finger of Rephresh 24 hrs before our attempt and i used sylk on d/h as we didnt actually dtd .. got him to point of not return and then dtd for 1 second!!!Quote:

i wouldnt be too concerned about moon phases.
according to all of that my last 2 should have been girls.
not sure of the exact ovulation dates for my first 2, so cant test them out.
it also said this one should be a boy.
also got me thinking, the whole ovulation/moonphase thing dosent add up.
i do think it has some bearing, but i dont think they are looking at it right.
im thinking it would affect the sperm right? i mean gender is determined by the swimmers.
so if you BD in the new moon phase, but dont ovulate untill full moon phase, im my way of thinking, shouldnt the time of BD be calculated, not the time of Ovulation.
i mean the job has already been done, by the time you ovulate majority of the sperm would have died off, and that has nothing to do with the moons position on the day you ovulate.
this pregnancy is a good example of what i mean.
our BD was september 9th-which is in new moon territory.
there was a full harvest moon on the september 12th.
and i ovulated on september 14th- which is full moon territory.
by the time the full moon arrived, it was 3 days after BD, the alot of sperm selection had already been done.

Hey Girls just woundering about our due dates.... Do we go by scan date or by date of last af? I am so confused by this because i really am only 3 weeks pregnant so would a scan go by 3 weeks or 5 weeks??? I know the dr will go from my last af but that is not really right.. Can someone please explain it to me.
I go by ovulation date and add on 2 weeks as that's the most accurate way... but doctors here go by LMP until your dating scan at around 12 weeksQuote:
