Yes these symptoms have only started for me since I have been trying.. and I've had every month around the same time the lower back pain and cramps which continue until AF comes. This is also my 4th cycle trying.
Have you had this since you have been trying or only this cycle?

This is actually the first time I have experienced both cramping and lower back pain at the same time. But it's eased today I can barely feel the back pain again. I guess we have to wait till the 26th to see if it's a good sign this time around or a bad one.

Ok that's fine.. I have continued to have like dull aching pain and also some pain on my left side mild and not too bad with lower back pain every day since CD 18 on and off.
That can be a sign of early pregnancy. Keep me posted!

No, it doesn't mean that at all.
You can't tell the side of ovulation from where you feel O pain. This is because the ovary develops eggs on both sides, and in many cases, ovulation actually RELIEVES pain on the side it happened (imagine popping a very painful pimple and then it feeling better afterwards). So you can end up having more pain on the side that didn't ovulate (and this is not a reliable thing either!)
The idea that you can tell your baby's gender based on side of ovulation or side of implantation have both been debunked anyway. We are seeing people getting boys and girls from either side. And as for side of implantation, after seeing the doctor that claimed to "discover" that method, guessing on many people's ultrasounds and guessing WRONG, I can no longer believe there is anything to that!

So AF came this morning :( was really not expecting it felt like I had all the symptoms as already mentioned. Was another 28 day cycle exactly. Not sure what's going on but doesnt seem to what to happen.
If you're having 28 day cycles you're probably ovulating around CD 14. Let's try to time our attempts CD 12-14 to be sure you're getting in attempts at the proper time of month.
It may be you're just having some cramping around the secondary estrogen surge. This may be a GOOD sign for your sway, if you're higher in estrogen than you were, so much so that it's triggering symptoms.
This is exactly how I planned last cycle attempts based on o at cd14.. but didnt really get postive ovalution test. I will try different brand next cycle. But I do feel like I need break as all the symptoms have really drained me out this month and last few months.
Would you suggest a break for month?
What would make my estrogen levels high?
Swaying blue raises your estrogen. That's how it works.
I never suggest a break for any reason other than an act of God. It's your call to make, but I find when people start skipping months, blue swayers end up gaining too much weight. And of course you may still have the symptoms even if you're not actively swaying anyway - just because your mind has decided not to sway, your body doesn't get the memo, LOL. Just be sure you're not continuing to put on weight (but don't diet either!)
Would that explain the bad skin spots around that time aswell due to increase estrogen?
When you suggest time attempts cd 12 to 14. Do you mean attempt 12 13 and 14 every day?
Any time your hormones shift it can cause spots. This is because changes in hormones can affect the rate at which your skin cells grow and the amount of oil your body makes and whenever this happens, this can encourage bacteria to grow and that causes the spots.
Yes. If you're very worried about timing, you can have an attempt late CD 13, then twice CD 14. OR, you can have attempt CD 12, 13, 14, or even CD 11, 12, 13, 14 (this is what I would personally do, but that's not in line with timing)
Ok I will try 12 to 14 if I can get 11 in before then I will try my best.
Also AF has been different so far had two days bleed and today not as much I dont normally get this. Normally starts off slow then gets heavy then slow again. Last Aleast 5days start to finish.
Seeing changes in the cycle is not unusual when swaying, keep me posted how it goes.
I did have 5day period in the end just was difficult to my normal AF.
I have been on He diet since November so have gained weight as I didnt think would take too long to get pregnant as my first and second was 1 attempt one cycle.
I do feel like I need to loose weight would walking everyday about 20 mins to hour a day be ok along with x2 or x4 cardio and some weights?
That's to be expected, the majority of people note changes in their cycle when swaying.
I would recommend weights for no more than 45 minutes 4-5 days a week, and no more than 45 minutes of cardio (including walking) also 4-5 days a week, but at a different time than the weights. So go out for a walk in the morning, come home, take a break, have lunch, then do weights in the evening.

So is walking about 45 minutes and 45 minutes weight on same day is ok? Or one of this 4-5 days ?
I have been doing indoor workout for 30 minutes or outdoor walk for 45 minutes. If i do both in a day, is that still ok ?

Yes, it's ok as long as you take a break in the middle and don't do them back to back. Have a meal in between and a sit down!

Hi Atomic so I test yesterday CD12 got postive.. tested today CD 13 positive again so far I attempted cd12 and will try 13 and 14.. that's 3 attempts do you think that's ok this month. I feel like stress of attempting is why it's not working for me planning attempts etc.

I really doubt that's why it's not working. Minor stress just really doesn't harm fertility that way. Three attempts is great, though I do worry that the CD 14 may be too late, if that's how it works out then so be it. Good luck and blue dust headed your way!Quote:

Having 3 attempts around ovulation is going to help you conceive and help you get a boy. I cannot give you specific dates because I cannot predict when you will ovulate. So I"m hoping that CD 14 was not too late. I am trying to help you reduce your stress level by having some attempts at the right time without having the OPK stuff happening, but I cannot do that exactly. All I can do is make a suggestion about when to have attempt and then hope that's when O occurs.

I was predicting ovalution on cd14 therefore I thought 12,13 and 14 sounded about right. When I got postive on 12 and 13 I thought it must be the right time. I guess I will just have to wait and see.

No the HE Diet and supps are great indefinitely as long as you can keep from gaining too much weight on it.
Oh and it's entirely possible that was three attempts. Just that I can't say for sure.
Yes I think that's the problem I have gained weight since doing this from last year. So I have been walking more and more exercise but keeping this to what you have said.
I have got my regular back pains aches which I got every month since trying...but dont feel hopeful this month.

So didnt work for us again this month. AF came on 21st May AF before was 25th April. That was our 5th cycle trying.
Do you suggest anything different to what I'm doing to help?
We attempted 12,13,and 14 then every other day until 18.
Are you guys using any guaifenesin to make more EWCM?
Has your husband ever had a sperm analysis?
I used guaifenesin every month apart from the last. Dont feel like it makes more EWCM for me. I tried more some months and less others to see if it made a difference.
No to sperm analysis as we never had any issues with the girls. Both was first time each time.
Dont know why wouldnt work for us this time. I'm 34 and so is DH
Well, it may be just bad luck - it takes fully fertile couples doing nothing to sway average 3-6 months (across all ages) to conceive so it may be you're coming in on the tail end this time. If you got pregnant first month out in the past that was GOOD luck, not something that can be expected every time.
Fine to skip guaifenesin if you're not happy with it! I never used it and I have 4 boys. Just stay well hydrated and it will have much the same effect.
It is possible though that a man can have normal sperm count (or lower than normal but you guys still conceived easily) in the past and then he has worse sperm count. I'm not saying that's what is happening, because usually it isn't at all, but it's just something to potentially rule out in the long term.

I can only keep trying.. which is getting hard on the diet and gaining weight.. I have tried to cut out nuts and bananas as I think I was having too much of this. Even oats every other day is that too much? I think the snacking on apple dark choc and nuts lead into weight gains and I never snack this much. That with the amount of eggs and protein.
My husband is weight training now and just more exercise in general also trying to cut down on alcohol intake as I think that was high.
That's right. Cut back on, or even cut out totally, anything sweet/starchy like bananas and apples (really, these have very little nutrients in them) and cut back on extras like nuts, berries, the things that HAVE a good level of nutrients in them. When we say protein + carbs you really don't need tons of carbs, just some.
Then cut back the number of snacks to 2 or even 1 a day and up exersice if you are still gaining.
Yes I have dropped the snacks and exercises more.
What kind of things can I have for snacks if I need any? Feel like I'm having all the wrong things which is where the weight gain is coming from. We still eat alot of chicken eggs and some red meats.
Nuts, cheese and a piece of fruit, peanut butter and an apple (I know above I said cut back on apples, but if you're having a small apple with pb that is fine), half a sandwich, a yogurt, small bowl of cereal.
What you're trying to do is focus more on things that are nutrient dense and not super sugary, and less on things that are poor in nutrients and sugary (aka, bananas).
You can also try cutting your meals by 1/4-1/2 and having the other half as a snack (or even one of your other meals)

Well, if you're sold on the mineral diets you would skip it, but the mineral diets are unscientific nonsense based on animals so different from humans they don't even reproduce in the same way. I ate GOBS of cheese with my sons and gave up dairy almost totally when I got my daughter, and the best study ever done on maternal diet and gender conceived (and indeed, the only one not intended to "prove" some revolutionary mineral diet!) found that moms who went on to conceive boys had more intake of all nutrients, INCLUDING calcium and magnesium.
As long as you can avoid excess weight gain you can take all the time you need! That is a real advantage of the blue sway, there's no harm in sticking with the basic diet forever, and you can take time off when you need to. :heart:
