hope.ful - so glad to see you back and ready to go again!
Chitchat - Go ahead and eat the wheat and dairy, the more nutrients the better. Diet is much more important then pH. I spent 6 months trying to change my pH, never got it higher then 5.5 and still got my guy.
Dloui - congrats and yes you'll show earlier and be bigger with each baby.
Auroara - awe thanks, that is his 6wk pic :)
Skrimpy - such a cute little bunny! FX you get your dream house!
Cinss - I had gotten so fed up with it all I was down to diet and fish oil (it gave me tons of ewcm) when I conceived. My perfect timing was purely by chance. It's so frustrating trying to get everything "perfect" because it may never be.
ELP - in six months?! We'll have to call you TLP! FX you can get the finances all straightened out.
Lola - hi hun, how are you? Oh you should definitely try for natural and funny as it sounds the ring of fire is very reassuring. Once it starts to burn you know it's almost over so deep breath, push with all your might and head is out. Body doesn't hurt at all after the huge melon comes through lol
Flava - sorry about the m/s, try changing your prenatal and add 50mg b6 3x a day. Also peppermint candy or lemon candy can really help and if you can find them preggie pops or preggie drops work wonders. fx it passes soon :)
Still a gut here too and extra flabby, the postpartum weight loss is going so slow and for extra fun I think I'm getting my period back! I starting spotting yesterday and have a light flow today, I'm not sure how that's possible with Charlie nursing every hour! With my girls I had a full 9 month break and was hoping for a repeat. On the plus side I got my IUD so I'm officially impregnable and enjoying my last baby to the fullest :) Hope everyone had a great Easter, here's a few pics of my cuties.

3P1B-Your children are beautiful!
3pink-I love the pics all the same dresses are so cute I wish i did something like that!
Lola- you know what I did not have the ring of fire last time :suprise:
dloui - Thanks!
Flava - Thanks! My mom made the dresses, Charlie's shirt too :)
Lola, yep I will go back on Clomid. I have some at home and have another script for it so I was going to try and do a sneaky unmonitored cycle. But seeing as I still have hcg in my system doesn't look like that will be happening. I didn't know there was such thing as man Clomid. What is it?
3P1B! Those pictures are adorable! The look on Charlie's face in that one of him by himself.... that is about the most precious thing I have ever seen!!
dloui, I felt so bloated with this last pregnancy too. But I also put on some tummy weight because of this darn boy diet.
3P! Charlie is beautiful! As are your girls. Such cute kids :)
Ahhh you girls talking about the ring of fire brings back memories. I had it bad the first time but not so much with DD2. I just felt like my bum was going tear open!
Oh wow look at your beautiful girls and omg little Charlie is adorable and getting so big!!!
You can???? I thought that you couldn't "legally" have a baby anywhere but a hospital after sections. I am gonna try a HB if I ever get pg if that is the case!
And once you are done BF this one, I will give you the diet that I am about to embark on so you can lose it all and be fabulous looking! I am working on one right now that won't be unhealthy because I don't want to mess up my eggs at all, but I need something that will work a little faster than losing a pound a week.
LOL, sneaky!!! Well, you could do that once your system is clear again, I suppose. No harm in that, you know your body can tolerate it. Urologists give men with low count a 25mg clomid daily for as long as they deem necessary and it is supposed to do something hormonally, obviously, that increases sperm count drastically. If there is no blockage or physical reason why the sperm aren't coming out, the Clomid usually does help. So FX about that!
See, the bum tearing open is exactly what I felt was about to happen with #2 and I just flipped out. I was already at 8-9cm and definitely in transition labor- if not past it- and was already feeling my knees weaken and some grunting and bearing down happening. This was during the era of the ex-hub who was about as supportive as having Hitler in your delivery room, and he kept yelling at me to get up and get off the "dirty floor" and quit yelling and the like (lovely, I know), so I just had pretty much had it with everything. But you guys have me convinced now that I will give it a shot. I would REALLY love to try a homebirth (or birth center)....and Flava has me all checking out the laws in our state. Last time I was pg, DoulaMama helped me find a lady who would come down from the adjacent state because I don't think you can legally here for some reason. But yea, I have fantasies about this glorious natural birth, and call me crazy....but I kinda toy with the idea of having my girls there also. I think it would make me control myself verbally and be calmer, which I know calmness helped things along in my last labor, and they are so mature from our life situation that I bet they could handle it. They've seen it on tv shows a bunch and don't flinch. Only worry would be if something went wrong, in which case I guess grandma could take them out and keep them while we went off to the hospital.
OH LOOK AT ME, talking about birthing already. I think the IVF back-up plan has me very optimistic!
Hobber - thanks, DH got him to give that cute little smirk :)
Bec - thanks!
Kris - thanks, he's 2 months already I can hardly believe how fast it's going. Love your profile pic, such a sweetie!
Lola - omg I love your excitement! FX man clomid increases those swimmers!
I never felt the ring of fire, i had to have an episiotomy when DD was born because her heart stopped when she crowned, i hope i don't have to have that again, it was so terrible, and then when i had to do number 2 for the first time after the birth i was terrified of busting open on the toilet, i had to sit on a pool ring thing for 2 weeks after, my gosh it was so bad. I am worried now because i have a scar down there, next time i give birth it will just rip open because it is a weak point :(
I only felt the ring of fire with DD3 but she was a shoulder dystocia birth.
Beautiful pics 3p1b!
Oh ladies, felt my first kick too the other day. Very gentle little kick it was :D
Cinss - I had a complete tear with my first she was 10pd though and with my others did not tear at all :)
5 - thanks hun, yay for little kicks!!
Geeze ladies I guess I've been lucky. Only slight tearing and a few stitches with #1 and #4, nothing with the other two.
Lola, well there you go, I didn't know men could take Clomid as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your DH can take it. Far out, your DH sounds like an a%$. I can't believe how un-supportive he was during your labour. I would kill my DH if he treated me like that. Actually my DH was asleep in bed for most of my second later. I finally decided to wake him up to go to the hospital, just in time because I had my DD2 30 minutes after getting there.
Cinss, ouch! I am terrified of episitomys. I have seen a few of them done IRL and omg! I had stitches with my first and then no tears or anything with DD2 so hopefully like dloui and 5 said, it will be ok for your next birth. Checked out your O chart, do you feel it's getting closer?
5, yay for kicks!! Any more?
DH have our monthly date night on the weekend. We're going to a comedy and show and dinner :)
Bec, i got another - opk today, i am expecting a + in the next day or 2, so i should probably be ovulating Saturday or Sunday. Cervix is getting quite open, so fingers crossed an egg pops out. We will be DTD every night from now.
Date night is such a good idea, i really must mention that to my DP :)
Oh, Lola, I meant to say your EX DH when I was referring to your labour. Oops, sorry!
Cinss, getting very close then :) Yep date night is great, we look forward to it.
Lola- you just have to tell me that diet for sure! More then 1 pound a week what are you doing? Sounds good.
Ooh Cinss, sounds like O is close!!
So I read somewhere that you get morning sickness bad when you are pregnant with a boy, is that true?
I had it the worst with dd1 had none with dd3 and just a touch with ds. Based on me and my close friends ms means nothing.
LOL Bec, I knew what you meant!!! Yea, he was terrible. I left him when the girls were just 2 and 4 1/2....left a life of luxury and not working and having a giant house, etc, but that stuff means nothing when you are with someone who treats you like crap. Part of the reason I left is so my girls wouldn't have to live with him full time either....they go over every other weekend (and hate it), but that's better than 100% of the time. They have a real daddy with my current DH though, who thankfully gets to spend way more time with them and will be the male influence in their lives, for the most part. But yea, my ex was AWFUL in both births. I sometimes have a hard time looking back on those experiences and not feeling like they kinda sucked for that reason, but the longer I'm away, the more the fading and blocking out of old crap happens.
TTC5, I am so excited for your scan!!! I really, REALLY think it's a boy. All those guessers are never wrong when they are unanimous! And arggggg, a complete tear? Is that like from stem to stern??? POOR LADY!
Well, for those of you who are soon to birth, check this out re: not tearing----- my doula with DD2 had my ex (and the only reason he agreed to do this is because he wanted my coocooer to be intact after birth) "stretch" me with some pure vitamin e oil every day from like 35 weeks on. I did not have a single thing down there, and I truly believe the stretching was why. He had to put his fingers in like he was pulling a rubber band open and hold it for 5 minutes at the point when I said stop and it felt like it was at its limit. It was kinda awful but I kept my eye on the prize and am glad I did.
I just can't imagine feeling a big tear when you are going naturally.....HOLY VAG-RIPS, Batman!!!
Cinss, hope this weekend is the big one for you!!!! Go eggs!!!
Flava, I am about to start this diet and am pretty excited. I actually have been modifying towards it for the last few days already, just to ease in, and my pants are baggy-ish today, no kidding! It's basically a diet where you just eat enough protein for your body and some veggies, a ton of water, and fish oil and a multivitamin each day....you cut out everything "unnecessary" and your body begins digging into your fat stores for energy without depleting your muscle (because of the protein intake). You do it for 4 weeks with a few days off here and there......I can pm you more about it after I learn more. You've got a while before you can do it, of course....I can send you the info someday. I am excited about it, and not shying away from a swimsuit this summer, too.
Lola, is that diet kind of like the Atkins (or "fatkins" as I like to call it)? As you remember I had great success with that. I will be doing it again after the baby is born so I can lose all this chub!
Lola - this sounds like you're sending your body into ketosis which is great for rapid weight loss but it's also very hard on your kidneys. Make sure you go a few weeks or more between each stretch and that the first day off you carb load with fruits and veg to replace the vitamins and minerals lost.
Also ladies this type of diet can really hurt your milk supply if nursing and change the taste of the milk causing the baby to reject the breast in some cases. Not to mention make you lethargic which is the last thing you want with a newborn.
I'm back to paleo/primal. Lots of meat, fat and veg but keeping between 50-100 carbs/day. I'm steadily losing, have a solid milk supply and plenty of energy to deal with 4 kids.
The research actually shows MS is worse when you're having a girl. I had terrible MS and was doing lots of research looking for cures and I came across a study of women who were admitted to hospital with it. They followed up with the mums after the births and the majority had female babies. It was true in my case, I ended up in hospital and I had a girl. Was sick from the time the embryo attached, at that stage I didn't know I was pregnant but I sure was sick!
Ok back from camping now and still no O but it's coming. Holy LONG cycle!! Have a soooo much EWCM yesterday and today that is not funny. Never had this much before! Line is almost as dark as the control but still no smiley face yet. I would say I will get my + tomorrow and O either sat or sun. We might be due the same day Cinss!!!
Lola, it's such shame that you can't look back on the births of your daughters with a smile on your face. I'm sure they were two of the best days of your life but it would be nice if they had of been 'perfect'. Hope you know what I mean and I'm making sense. Here's to the next birth and it being 100 times better :)
Welcome back PoP, did you all have a great time? You and Cinss are so close now. I'm jealous!
Yay PoP you're back! How was your trip?
Lola- i don't even know if I can ever put on a swimsuit again!
3pink-your diet sound good to I suck in counting carbs no idea how...would be nice just one to loose weight and keep up the milk!
PoP, that sounds really promising!! You'll have to do some good BD'ing then with all that going on!!
3Pink1Blue...omg those pictures were amazing...your girls are so beatuiful and Charlie is soo handsome! Gorgeous, gorgeous family....love the pics!!
ELP< when u go at it again in a few months TTC'ing, are you going to sway boy again to give Dave a younger brother?
If I hear boy in 10 days, I'm definitely offically completely joining this group..rofl
