Maybe, but give temping a whirl, it very well may work for you.
FWIW, low temps are said by "the other site" to be a surefire guarantee of a boy LOL. ;)

Just wanted to help by adding what I did to conceive my girl (which died in my womb at 30 weeks of pregnancy unfortunately :broken:).
I stopped BC in Jan 2015 but only ttc for about 3 times until September due to job change, when I found out I had toxoplasmosis so had to wait again for ttc until December. I got pg that first time with a girl (which I always hoped for).
Because of the toxoplasmosis, I lost some weight and was on a BMI of 17,25 from May until September. By December I was back on my normal weight with a BMI of 18,5-19. It almost never gotten any higher...
Regarding diet: I don't ever eat a lot of meat, have 1 can of diet coke every day, eat a lot of sugary foods (I love cookies, ice cream and chocolate), don't eat very regulary, sometimes I just ate a cookie for breakfast and when we go out to eat (at least once a week) I take a goat cheese salad (huge fan!) or pasta. Oh also, if I eat a large meal in the evening, I can't anything until the afternoon/evening the next day because I still feel stuffed.
Regarding exercise: I played tennis and padel for 4-6 times/week then. The 3 days before conceiving I played a European tournament of padel for which I had a bit of competitive stress (so not very girlfriendly I guess). DH is a soccer player (2 practices and 1 match a week), wears loose boxers everyday except when exercising.
Regarding attempt: we dtd only once that month at pos PK. My libido isn't very high and DH is also fine with dtd once a week or less.
Supplements: I took a prenatal multivitamin every day, so that's also not very girlfriendly...
We would like to have 2 (living) children and I would love to have all girls, or at least one.
I started swaying one month ago (BFN unfortunately) and I hope I can still get my girl(s)...
Good luck to you all!
Sigrid, so sorry about your little girl. Sending all best wishes that your family will soon be growing again.
For girl swayers I wanted to post the circumstances in which my daughters were conceived, so here goes.
With DD1, we were not swaying. I was 10lbs overweight but had gone vegetarian a few months earlier, then vegan the month before so was losing weight. I did no exercise (apart from walking) and drank black tea and coffee a few times a day. I was taking a prenatal. We had had no sex throughout the month but DTD from O-5 through to O, skipping O-1. Effectively we had abstained until O-5 so poss low numbers of viable sperm. She was conceived in the summer.
With DD2 I had started eating meat again and had a good diet (Primal-ish) but weight was holding steady and wasn't overweight. I did (I realise now) have a poor Omega3/Omega6 fat ratio- too many vegetable oils for cooking etc and not much oily fish. I also ate carby snacks with no protein at the same time so blood sugar must have been up and down. I was taking a prenatal. I walked a lot (everyday) pushing DD1 in pram and was still Bfing her several times a day and during the night. I drank tea but no coffee. Again, we had little to no sex from AF until O-5 and again on O day. She was conceived in the spring. I think diet-wise DD2 was more likely to be a boy, but the regular BFing (causing little to no EWCM,) the poor choices of fats and the fluctuating blood sugar may have counted against me. Hope this helps someone. X
Thanks a lot Bathsheba!
And thank you - like all the others who did this, to add your experience!
It's really helpful to know this and if I look at most experiences, it's not a coincidence that they got girls :)
Wish you all the best!
Thanks ladies. All your stories are valuable here
I'm just curious can the calcium pills make up for the milk-dairy products?
