JUNE/JULY/AUGUST 2014 DUE DATE CLUB- THREAD #2

My god well I told him before hand that I had a girl and a boy so it didn't sway his decision or think I'm going to go completely psycho!! But he had several looks over from in front, underneath and then stopped and said "looks like where looking at your daughter" I just wanted to scream and hug and kiss him but instead I said "oh wow" lol... then I went to the bathroom and silent screamed! my 18 month old thought I was mad jumping around! It was an amazing feeling, but so many people have put doubts in my mind about the 'three lines' etc... and mine does have three lines but they horizontal? I've looked it up and it supposed to resemble a cheeseburger? All I know is I have 3 boys and I know that it was completely different to all three.

I was devastated to hear boy with my third, I actually went into deep depression. He is now 19months old and he is a white blonde, blue eyed, gentle, smart and I look at him and wonder why I ever felt such pain. What you feel now will pass once he is born - This time around if I was to hear boy I would know for sure, there's just no pushing those sticky out bits back in!. What I did to get me through is not use lots of "hand me down clothes" in fact I went on a spending spree including little nike shoes and it really helped. People on the other hand are really rude and even said to me "was he supposed to be the girl?" "Don't you want a girl" as if it is that easy! This time round if I was to hear boy then we would be going down the road of HT in the next few years. Chin up, have a good cry, scream and punch something if you have to then take a deep breath and try to enjoy the pregnancy.

Unfortunately -- the doctor could not tell me. She knows me well, and said she wanted to tell me so badly; but she just was not sure. She said it could definitely be a girl, but she could not say for sure.
So now unfortunately I have to wait 6 more weeks til my 18 to find out!!
I can't believe it. I mean, at least its not in the air, and I think the nub at the end is pointing straight, not angled up.
But I wish they could say "girl" but the baby was moving SOOOO much (like summer saults, butt in the air, flipping around) and they could barely get the measurements they were looking for no less get a good gender guess. I was in there for 45 minutes them trying to get the shots they wanted.
At best, at least they did not say it was defnitely a boy.
What do you all think? Do I have hope?
Of course I am going to be obsessed comparing to confirmed girl pics for the next 6 weeks....

Guess what should this baby really be a baby girl for me she too will be the only girl - but another thing my cousin she has 3 brothers but now she has two daughters and she was super close to her cousins - so we can build female relationships in many other avenues. There was 6 years between my sister and I and we're not close. So it doesn't always turn out the way you think it will anyway. Congrats non the less! I'm sure he'll be amazing!.

I am very happy I got to see baby. He was quite active & we got great pictures of all of him. My 3year old came & was super excited to see his baby brother. Please don't get me wrong I am super excited to be having a healthy baby boy its just I have done the boy thing so many times. It kind of makes it hard to be excited. I have 3 awesome sons & at this point it is kind of hard imaging this LO joining them. On the other hand they are all such great kids its hard to imagine this one could be anything less.

My DD is going to be heartbroken she cried to me the other day that she didn't want any more boys in the house & that this had to be a girl. I tried to explain to her how special it is that she is the only girl. She has her own room, her own stuff & if this was a girl she would have to share her room esp with a baby. She didn't want to hear it. Realistically I know this is best for her also. She will be 10years older than baby & that would make it hard for them to be close plus as she hits hers preteens I highly doubt she would want a preschooler in her room messing with her stuff.

What I really wish is that this didn't have to be so final. I'm happy to have another son I just wish I was young enough, didn't get as sick as I did & had enough $$ to consider trying again. I wish I had those options. Maybe I could try to talk DH into another but I don't know if that would be worth it. I have been so sick this time & that's just not fair to anyone. Poor DH has been working a ton & picking up my slack at home & he has bit quite cranky. Not that I blame him for being cranky but at the moment I'm just not in the mood for it.

I guess it is what it is. Thanks for listening to my vent. Need to let go of what I wanted & be thankful for what I have. 4 amazing, healthy kids & another one on the way. I know I am very blessed & watching & learning about so many of your stories just trying to have your DD's reminds me to be grateful for what I do have.

Grease, I'm glad they know why you're bleeding now and relieved it's nothing serious. I'm sure they'll keep monitoring you and hopefully your placenta will behave and move up! :)

Thanks ladies, I am so glad there is nothing to worry about, I really want to enjoy this pregnancy and so far I haven't as I have been worried sick that every time I would go in for an u/s they would tell me baby wasn't alive :(

It was also like Angels were singing when the Dr said "I don't think it's a boy" I had my mouth wide open and said "Oh wow, seriously?" lol And as we were leaving he said "Don't worry she is fine" :) I still can't believe it though, not sure why I am having such a hard time, the video was only taken at 13 weeks 1 day :/

Glad to hear everything is ok with the bleeding. I have had bleeding so many times in pregnancy. It is scary but many times does not mean anything bad.
