What a shock for those families! I heard it happens more with boys turning into girls because the cord is mistaken for willy.

Yay for those cords! Hahahaha!
Has anyone taken any "bump" pics yet?? I feel pretty huge, I know its my 3rd but Im already getting the awful comments on how huge I am - like I have so much control over it. I feel like they think I must just be eating anything & everything (well maybe I am lol) but really I get big, every baby Ive had has been the same (and I have big babies).. Anyway Ive been googling images and its been comforting to me to know Im not alone.. Anyway, does anyone wanna share their bump pics?? I might take one in the morning as at night Im huge but its all food & water.
Awesome!! Thanks Cinss
I'm going to ask a really silly question.......so bear with me LOL.
I've heard this as well before, and it confuses me....
The width of the umbiblical cord would surely be thicker then the width of a penis?? Even at birth the penis can't be as wide as an umbilical cord can it? So definitely not at the half way mark in pregnancy? Or is it thinner then the willy would be?
Also, the umbilical cord has 2 separate blood ******s running through it, when I had my scan she changed the view on the machine and you could see the 2 separate blood ******s flowing, so couldn't they just use that see wether they are looking at cord or penis?
I just want to be well prepared for Saturday, if they show me a willy I want to be certain that it IS a willy and not cord.
Looks promising!
I tried to do a tally based on those that announced an outcome in that thread, and by making a guess on the outcome based on the info in their tickers.
Out of a total of 27, I noted 15 for whom the theory was INCORRECT and 12 for who, it was correct.
Allowing for some errors it still only gives an accuracy rate of around 50/50 so maybe this one isn't something to place too much hope on.
I'd say the tech would have to be inexperienced, or in a rush, and they may just see part of the cord, not the whole thing, im sure it doesn't happen very much, but human error is always going to be an issue. I'm sure your tech will be very intent on getting it right for you seeing as it is a gender scan you are paying for.
