this u/s is freaking me out! I can't wait almost 6 weeks!!
I was looking into the blood tests where they can find the Y chromosome in your blood. I don't care it cost a couple hundred - I just want accurate results. I was reading that some people heard boy and it was really a girl. I just wouldn't want that to happen to me.
What is your thoughts or experiences...?

I think I might do an elective u/s.
You can go anytime after 15 weeks for gender determination and get pics and a cd etc.
Should I book it? Do you think they could get an accurate gender determination at 15wks 4 days?
They "should". Even if they didn't get a perfect shot by 15 weeks you should be able to tell if it's a girl, a boy would be too obvious I think!
They should be able to tell you at 15+4 if baby cooperates, I'm pretty sure that's the gestation to the day I found out my LO's gender. At that gestation, don't forget to ask for a potty shot - bubba's too developed for a nub shot. I have my FX this is your DD x
I went at the end of 14 weeks with DS3 (lied and told them I was 15 weeks) and it was very obvious!!

I feel terrible but I just can't wait and I'm not going to tell anyone that I am doing it. Not even my husband!
It will be hard to keep to myself but I feel like everyone will tell me its crazy and to just wait.
So....hopefully 3 weeks and I'll know for sure!

They should definitely be able to tell then.

I am so impatient but my next scan is 2wks2days after that and when your waiting like this 2 weeks is a really really long time. Hell....3 weeks is going to feel like an eternity!
PFP I sometimes wonder how our mom's had the patience to wait until we were born to find out what they were having. I guess since they didn't do ultrasounds like they do today it wasn't a choice. And I know I have a lot of pictures wearing yellow and green at the hospital. But it would have driven us absolutely crazy. Just waiting till the 16-20 weeks makes me go insane. I had a scan at 13 weeks and a bed side scan at the hospital at 15 w 5 d and they still haven't been able to tell me. i am hoping that it might be a girl since the wiener hasn't been on the screen. I am praying for you to get a little girl good luck and keep us posted.
Grease - Wow! I am so happy the Doctor is that confident it's a girl! They don't play with that and if he was unsure he wouldn't have said it. I am very happy for you! x
