Butterfly - we have a DVD of our dd that we lost from our gender scan , I haven't have the heart to watch it but I'm glad I have a video of her moving etc as a memory.
I didn't even think until now I should have given a copy to the peri :x
Congrats to the others who have gotten the news they had hoped for....I know it must be difficult for those who did not to hear some of the reports. Love to you all and I just know that all of our babies, whether they turned out to be the gender we desired, are going to be exactly who we needed in our lives. I am thrilled to have heard boy today, but honestly I was so shocked when we found out because I totally expected to hear girl again.
On another note, I have something to tell that my hubby said to the tech that will make you all roll in the floor giggling. When she turned the screen towards us, she went down the profile showing us the heart, the stomach, etc...finally it was the moment of truth. She got the potty shot on the screen and I immediately saw the boy part and was thinking (holy moly...I can't believe it)...at the same time the tech said, "well, it looks like ya'll finally did it....it's a boy". Well, my hubby was in such shock and disbelief that he just sat there stunned for about 2 minutes, going, "wow....wow". Then here's the cute comment (background is that I have told him that the techs can be wrong if the ultrasound is done really early...but he couldn't remember how far along that was at....in other words, he was wondering if there was a chance that she could be totally wrong and it could change)....but he was so bamboozled and shocked, he looked at the tech and said, "Well, is there a chance it could go away? Is there any way it could fall off?"......Bless his heart, it was soooo funny and cute. The tech just giggled at him, smiled and said, "oh, no.....don't worry...it's not going anywhere...it is firmly attached". HHHHHHHHHHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......anyways....little man was proud to show off his goods for a while and then at the very end of the ultrasound, he crossed his legs as if to say, "Okay, that's enough...show's over". Oh, also, our suspicions were confirmed.....I too have an anteror placenta. How crazy how many of us have that. Okay....hope you all have a great night................can't wait to hear from the next ladies who have scans.
How cute of your DH - I bet he is over the moon as Im sure you are too!! There's no denying their bits when you see them on ultrasound hey ;) So very excited for you !!!
