Thank you so much I love you all.
I phoned my mum and balled down the phone which has made me slightly feel better. She reassured me that it's probably mostly the shock that I'm feeling and once I get used to the idea it'll get easier to cope with.
I'm sure my boys will love another brother and I will love another son when he's here.
Dh said to me this morning when he caught me crying again don't worry we can try again when this one is born. Which I thought was sweet but I feel like I'm done!
You have a wonderful dh Tiffani. And who knows what the future will bring. I was done after four too...and look where I am now. lol We're here for you. And we're pretty aggressive too, so if you want us to punch the u/s tech out that will not be a problem!!! What a jerk!!
Pretty sure I have frequent flyer miles and I'd love to use them on a tech like that...

Tiffani - your DH sounds amazing and I agree with 3M&AL that you just never know what the future will hold. You are an amazing woman and mom and everything will work out. What you are feeling is normal and OK and you are allowed to feel hurt so don't feel guilty at all. I thought I was done at 2 and now I am already planning #4 if this is a boy. Maybe god gave you this boy b/c you are an awesome mom and are meant to have one more.
And as far as that tech is concerned, he doesn't know who he is dealing with and he better watch out b/c all of us raging preggo ladies would love to take some aggression out. I'm so sorry he did that.

I'm sorry Tiffani :( but your thoughts are normal, no reason to feel guilty about your feelings, they are what they are and With baby number 4 , I think this reaction is to be expected! Last pregnancy we were certainly done at 3, was going to Have DH get snipped, and now here we are again and if its a Boy we will be having a 4th, so plans can always change. It's healthy to cry those tears now. With baby #2 my pregnancy was so different I was convinced he was a girl and he wasn't... so I was pretty disappointed but he came out the easiest sweetest baby with curly hair (slept all the time, never cried ) and I felt like he knew to be so perfect since I was hoping he would be a girl! Lol

So the place that does the private gender scan here...it says you need to have had a diagnostic ultrasound beforehand. The only ultrasound I had was at 8 weeks. Does this mean no gender scan?! :worry:
The 8 wk ultrasound is def not diagnostic....
I think they just want proof that you've been to the doc. I'd take it. If you are concerned, call and ask them if an 8 week scan is ok.
I think it's still considered diagnostic. They look for the heartbeat and to confirm pregnancy/dates, which is a diagnosis.

I think you guys are going to kill me! I *think* I have made a final decision that I am not going to find out the gender. I already feel like I know it is a boy and I don't want to go through the heartache of knowing it isn't a girl and having to listen to ppl's comments. I know I won't have any GD when the baby is here so leaning towards staying strong!
I also have felt a ton of guilt for thinking of hiding gender from DH!!
Ladies, during my scan the baby flipped upside down, and I have a pic of that. Is it void when it comes to gender guessing if the baby is upside down?
I think so, my his and thinks I should. I'm tempted to have him know and I can decide later but I kinda feel like if I'm going to know ahead of time that I see the goods myself!!!
I really don't know what the right answer is but my husband knows me well and thinks I should get it done now. I'm a little sad that he won't be the one announcing the gender at birth but I've never felt any lack of excitement or drive to get that baby out knowing the sex before so assuming its the same this time!!

Yes, that's what the tech told me at 14 wk 4 days and she was flipped over.. my baby was NOT cooperating that day but she did get the side nub determination. LOLQuote:

Just called the private scan place, they can take me without the diagnostic scan! They would only need the diagnostic to do the 4d scan which are really indepth so that makes sense. I am so nervous now I could just die! I have less than 10 days before my scan now!! :nails:

Time is going to fly! I have every extra penny going to x-mas so I am not tempted to use that for an elective scan either.

It's not til 515pm. Don't wait up in case I change my mind;) I've consulted both sister and Sil for advice and they think I should wait but understand if I need to know... Aghhh I want to make the right choice!!

Nc - with the last one I had decided not to find out thinking That no matter what when I'd see the baby I wouldnt care about gender, well... I ended up at the private 3d place 15 weeks on the dot lolol
