Both babies are great! Baby A Boy is head down, Baby B Girl is head up.
Baby A was 1lb 2oz, Baby B was 1lb 1oz both measuring a week ahead :)
Average gestational weight for twins at 21 weeks are 13.9oz, So I am very excited about how well they are both doing :)
Thank you Ladies

Ah that's fantastic missxo! Happy babies :)
awesome scan missxo!!
Just wondering from you mummies how your family have been with your expecting arrival and expanding family choice. I thought my mum was thrilled about this baby but she never showed any excitement about the fact this is her 1st granddaughter which shocked me. Then today she said that I basically have no life! That I'm just watching everyone around me live their life going off places and doing things. But I'm happy with my choices and wouldn't change a thing about my children being close together. I would love to have more money but who wouldn't! I look at it that I enjoy family trips out so much more than my holidays I had as a singleton and in time my DH and I will still be able to have our own time again one day. Maybe I'm just being over sensitive with hormones but I'm sad that my own mum that I've always been close to isn't in my zone. :(
Thank you Ugee & Linz!
My grandmother was kinda the same, she thought we had enough kids and that if we were to have more to wait another few years. The rest of my family feel the same as I do that I wanted to have them close together and have one more ( we had a surprise and got an extra :) ). I voiced my opinion very loud that I didnt want any negative comments and if they had any to keep them to their selves or I wouldnt really have them around my family any more.
As long as your happy, your kids and spouse are thats all that matters. :)
My mother when told was the most disappointed sounding "oh" I have ever heard. Of course now if you tell anyone that story she was screaming in excitement from the rooftop with OH YAY according to her. First concern was we drive a sedan car which is more than adequate for DH, myself, and 2 kids in the back but apparently thats not enough space. Then it was how I was going to manage with 2 kids all day long, then finally my health issues. Its like they think we run into these choices blindly instead of the months of preparation in the case of us swayers, looking at our budgets, health problems, and everything else. I think it comes down to situational generation gap. My mother and grandmother did not have the options of day care or working with their children (Grandmother 5) (Mom just me and 2 much older step siblings) Their choices were pay money for a babysitter, or daycare to go out on private ocassions or spend money on a huge family trip all while there may have been one income provider because she had to stay home with the kids. Some of you have siblings reaching that babysitting age, or have family/friends to give you a night off etc and they don't even look at those factors it seems. We didn't lightly make this decision so we could turn around and complain later about what we don't have.
I'm sorry you guys are having issues with Family! That stinks! My parents are thrilled. They knew we wanted 2 kids and are so happy for us that we are getting one of each. My mom watches DS 4 days a week so I don't pay for daycare so we are super close

Today was 61 degrees outside, its the warmest it's been so far! Felt so good to turn the heat off and open some windows for some fresh air :) Can't wait for this warm weather to come.
Hope everyone else is having some nice weather today also!
We did too in mass!!! So glad to feel warmth!

It been beautiful here too! It was 61F today which was fantastic til it started raining. Which of course makes a tired preggers even MORE tired, and the joint problems oh joy!
Good OB appointment today, I am now going to the every 2 week appointments instead of every 4 next week I will be 30weeks so we are in the homestretch finally! I guess the one good thing about the gestational diabetes is I am getting another ultrasound where I wouldn't have before to make sure I'm not smuggling a small moose in there so at least I have that to look forward to!
Nahri, yay for the home stretch!
We are in Autumn now. We had a big storm with heaps of rain last night. Thankfully it stopped before I had to head off for night shift.
I'm definitely feeling pregnant the last few weeks. Aching back and hips. Sore pelvis and groin and oh so tired no matter how many hours of sleep in get :(
uh oh boysway are you headed for a case of SPD too?
I think so. I know I had issues last time. I just didn't realise it was SPD.
yeah that groin pain is a dead give away for me. That was my early symptom both times. started feeling like I was bruised or got kicked then it spread to the center of my hips and I was done for. The brace I ordered is a freaking miracle. Better than the one the doc gave me last time!
I have aching back too , I feel like old when I stand up everytime I set lol
Making those sound "aaah"
How's the baby movement going on?
I feel that my baby is digging down there ! Ouch , I wonder if that was his legs or hands?!
Same here Business.woman :(
I can feel bub move all over. Above my belly button, in my lower pelvis, to the sides. He can be an active bugger when he wants. I think I felt a foot heel or possibly an elbow/knee cap move across my belly button. In saying all that, he doesn't move anywhere near as much as my girls did at this stage.
Aw you are so lucky I don't really feel my bub move :-( I am nearly 20 weeks but found that my placenta is at the front so thinking it just has too much to kick through for me to feel it? Will ask at my next scan. X

Yes, you will feel less if the placenta is at the front. Mine is at the back.
Thought it might be that :-( hoping as baby gets bigger I will feel more later on or I know I will panic as the pregnancy goes on! Enjoy every kick it's the most amazing feeling in the world :-) x

It sure is amazing. I just forgot how strange it looks at times, lol.
Ha ha love it, like he is trying to get out!! I loved filming my boys doing that but nobody else found it amusing except me lol x

yeah your little one is nailing the placenta. As she gets bigger and running out of room you should at least get the ripples. Depending on exact position you may get some kicks to the sides that you will feel.
My little girl has kicked a sore spot on my right side. So I have to roll over to get her to quit kicking there. I can identify hands vs feet based on how hard I got hit. Hard ones are feet lighter ones are hands or elbows. I haven't been able to identify the head for certain yet because I haven't had a strong enough comparison to distinguish butt from head. My DS was constantly sticking his butt out in there so its probably butt.. LOL
I know that feeling boysway all too well. But back pain for me is the normal every day. So my docs have learned to ask if its worse because to ask if I have back pain as a symptom will get them nowhere LOL
Nahri, back pain is relatively normal for me as well. Although I haven't seen my usual chiro since December, I usually go every 6 weeks at most. I was diagnosed with chronic back pain about 9 years ago. I have trouble with my L5 S1 disc.
Thanks Nahri and ugee thats good to know just a shame as she is my last don't Want to miss out on all of the wonderful kicking and movements

Hi Ladies and happy Spring to everyone in the Northern Hemisphere!
I finally have taken a bump shot. Forgive me I'm in my pjs:) I am 28 weeks tomorrow!
Oh, the joys! I have some how pinched my sciatic nerve. I forgot how painful it can be. I have booked into my chiro but that's not for another 2 weeks :(
So as our pregnancies progresses I can see most of us suffer from aches and pains! Carrying a baby sure isn't easy!
I started having contractions (not painful ones) at 18 weeks and somedays its a lot worse. I realized it's because when pregnant I'm much more sensitive to stress and whenever I think of something stressful my belly immediately turns rock hard. My midwife instructed me to take it easy and rest. The problem is my best childhood friend is getting married in July and I am maid of honor. Me and the other bridesmaids have started planning the bachelorette party but I feel like they are more interested in planning what bridesmaids dresses they want to wear than contributing to the bachelorette planning. It's stressing me out so bad and I feel like it will be me planning the whole thing if it's going to happen. It's all ready giving me contractions and I feel like I need to take care of myself first or this might hurt me and my baby.
Is it wrong to just tell the other bridesmaids they need to plan it themselves and I will contribute financially and participate in the party?
Happy, are they definitely contractions or are they braxton hicks? They sound like braxton hicks to me. I know I get them often at times of stress or if I overdo things. Maybe ask the girls if they can help out more. It's wrong for them to leave everything to you when you're all on the bridal party.
Happy why not make a list of things to do and dish out the jobs so you only have to oversea them? Delegate ha ha good luck you certainly don't need the stress!!

Happy I think the list idea of jojoryan's is good! I would also find it difficult to organise alone. Saying that I found getting the boys breakfast, bathed and dressed extremely exhausting this morning! It's such a simple thing but found myself sitting down all puffed out and I'm only 20 weeks!!! God help me as I get even bigger.
I know what you mean, happy and all of you ladies. My babies always hang out on my right side and push up into my ribs. So I have pain in my ribs and on my lower right abdominal area, constantly. Unless I'm lying down on my left side, I get no relief and its more comfortable to stand than to sit because of it.
I also get gethe Braxton hicks when I get upset or stressed. The boys have been on spring break and they've been bickering so much. They go back to school tomorrow, which will be good for us all!
