I think waiting to start TTC is hell!! I think it may even be worse than the 2ww to be honest. Spending hours researching supplements, diet, blah, blah, blah. Obsessing over what you are doing, changing things all the time, buying a million news supps. I am not so much obsessing about swaying blue...more about getting super healthy and fertile and nutrient enriched, but man it's doing my head in. :worry:
How many supps can one person take to be super healthy...I keep finding new ones...when do you stop?? Then you worry that when they all mix they may be bad for you or have a bad reaction or something?? And I have started temping...but that takes 2 mins a day and isn't entertaining me enough, so I only record it once at the right time...but I now take my tempt 2-3 times a day just for the hell of it...to practice...maybe just to entertain myself while I wait for november?? And the ovulation tests...well I take one every day just for something else to do...lucky they are cheap and I have HEAPS of them...I just like seeing 2 lines....a left over fragment from my mad, obsessive compulsive POAS addict days!! You would think working fulltime and raising 5 kids would be enough to keep one busy, but apparently not!! I think I need a baby just to entertain myself :giggle:
Anyone else out there as psycho as me?? I have even started to plan the bedding and room incase I get another girl!!! It's all picked. I think I have issues...maybe there is a pill for that too???
Lm4! I am so sorry to hear about your loss; I love that you plan to tell his future siblings about him. My mom's 1st born was stillborn and she made sure my brother and I knew we had another soul sibling out there. :hugs: I'm glad you came over to the chit chat thread  IG is pretty much a ghost town now... I pop on from time to time to see if any of our old crew checks in but I think most of us are here or other sites now. I like it Soooooooo much better here. The ladies on this thread in particular are FAB so welcome! LOL about the BBT bonfire ... I never bothered with temping. I just did OPKs and checking the good ol' CP/CM.
Pop, you crack me up this am!!! FWIW though I 100% get what you're saying! Re: the supps, I think Lola is the Queen o' Healthy Supps :princess: (yay! 1st time I used that smiley!) and she can likely offer you good tips. She focused heavily on things that were for improving health in general, like antioxidants, healthy oils, etc. Personally I didn't take many so don't feel like I can offer too much, other than to say I had great luck with EPO. I also took fish oil, prenatal, d3, and wheatgrass.
So TTC5 do you have a timeline for TTC now or are you just taking it day by day?
Kris FX the Maxalon helps! With my DD1 I tried everything ... zofran, sea bands, eating before getting up, etc and nothing ever worked for me. It is indeed miserable, so I really hope you get some relief!
Alexis what's the word, are you officially in the 2WW? How do you feel about this month's attempt?
WP I forgot that with the farm OF COURSE you're getting lots of physical activity. If the weight is bugging you I would just go with cutting back on breads, like you suggested. I tried to get almost all of my carbs in the forms of fruits and veggies.
Welcome to Capricorn Aquarius! I'm going to have to shorten that one  FX for you and Lm4 to get your BFPs!!
Ok friends have to run, hope everyone has a great morning (or night)!
Welcome heath and capicorn !!!!
POP: LOL....you crack me up!!!! I know, I have 6 children and homeschool and still manage to spend too much time on here. I think I should move my computer to a closet or something. I don't use OPK all day, but I do think "I should be taking that supplement, too" and then my(and Dh's) pill box gets fuller. I don't know where to draw the line.....I guess when we see 2 lines on a test!!!
Flava: Thanks for the advice, I think I will add a little cardio. I bought one of those mini trampolines after having DD4 and never got around to using it....do you think it would be too hard on a potential beany in the 2WW?
Heath: Don't worry, if I ever post outside the chit-chat thread they get lost in the shuffle.....the ladies here are always great about trying to help. I do weights everyday with my squats and leg exercises, but I just don't think it is enough.
I asked hubby last night if he would rather me gain more weight or have a girl and of course he danced around the subject and finally said I looked fine. Easy for him to say, he started doing my same weight program and is looking much trimmer than me, but of course he isn't eaing every hour either :)
It should be interesting the next couple weeks....Alexis just Oed....and Heather, Capicorn, Lola, and me are all a few days apart....BFP here we come!!!!
Hi Ladies, I have been following you for months and would like to join you all as the date for starting preparations for TTC is getting close and I have so many questions. I will start with the most important first. I have started adjusting my diet already, eating more nuts, using more salt and working out with weights but should I start the supps while still on my last month of the pill, or should I start supps, complete diet and charting all at the same time? I am worried about getting pregnant before the changes have had a chance to work. DH has given the go ahead to TTC after Dec.

♥ swayer in waiting
♥ TTC DC #3
♥ sea salt on everything, red meat, tomatoes (fresh and canned), salted nuts, bananas, dried apricots, raisins, potatoes, cereal every morning, 2000mg folic acid, 1000mg fish oil, wheatgrass.
Well, hello chicas!
I had the busiest day ever yesterday....my girls started school, and of course, my little reincarnation of Chris Farley (DD2), poor little thing, just pukes all over the porch while I am taking their "1st day of school" pic. So that was fun. And I had to work for about 12 hours. And wake up 2 hours earlier than normal for school now.
Anywho.....Begonia, I did see that info about Clomid. I am only going to take it for 4 months max, and my doctor told me there is no harm in 6 months or less. I am on round 2 now, just started. I get so hot when I take it, like massive hot flashes. And B, thanks for the info on the Cohen's diet, too....I forgot to post about that....I will look it up in a minute.
OK, this diet/weight thing: first of all, that is VERY interesting that the ladies on FF had to drop the IG diet. Personally, I think the IG boy diet is absolutely horrid, WAY too much sodium and no dairy? I just couldn't do it, and that is where I gained the majority of this 35lbs. I do actually feel like too much may hinder fertility. Consider this: when I was working out like a madwoman and at my fittest, I got pg when avoiding, and now, I am trying like a madwoman and can't do it. I am very much set on dropping the majority of this diet like, now. I think I am going to continue to eat little bits all day, and try to eat carbs and protein, but there will be no more steak and potatoes and the like. I know how all of you feel with this, it is so hard to be heavier and know you are doing it on purpose. I just fear that this weight MAY be the thing hindering me at this point, and I just don't have the time to wait anymore.
I think this whole year and journey has taught me that we just want a baby now, be it a girl or a boy, and we need to really focus on just getting pregnant and staying pregnant. I don't have the luxury of swaying anymore, really.
But I will keep taking my supps, and thanks for the nod, Begonia LOL....you are right, I do take a bunch for healthy and fertility in general, not too many "boy ones" although those types do tend to sway boy. POP, I don't know if you can take too many supps....I am sure you can....I will tell you that I feel great, no illness for a long time and aside from the extra weight, I do feel very healthy and sleep well, etc. Anyway, thanks for the love everyone. I've got about 9-10 days before we give it another go, so trying to remain positive.
Alexis, hope you did it this month! Nice to see you over in the 2ww thread!
Daisy, what supps are you taking? I kwym about your friend. I did tell my good friend about swaying as she just found out she's having her 2nd girl and they only wanted 2. Now it's up to 3, but she's in the same boat as many of us. She thought it was cool, I bet she'll join someday! She's only 25 wks with #2 now though. But, that is interesting that she did a really good girl sway in essence and still got a boy. I bet you're right, she wouldn't believe it.
Begonia, my DH is actually starting school now! And our season too.....he will be very busy this year, but he can do it. I'm proud of him. I hate that he is retiring from dancing, but you know, it has a short life span like pro athletics do. His body feels 58 and he's only 38. But I do toy with the idea of med school.....my bff is on the admin committee and a professor of anatomy and she says they would take me in a heartbeat with my experience and passion, etc, so she keeps pushing me to do it and heck, she may prevail sometime. I want to get over this baby hurdle first! Either have one and give him or her a couple of years to get into a preschool, or not have one and start the change sooner. I don't know. I do love what I do, but the arts are a HARD field to work in.....we all love it so much, but you just work your ass off and don't make that great of a living doing it. I would love to show my girls that they can do anything....even go be a doctor when you are 40....not to mention have a better paycheck to give them a better life.
TTC5, so glad you are losing weight and feeling good, sweetie!!!! I bet you are going to rip on the ttc scene like a hot mama and get pg immediately!
Flava, are you sick now? I am so sorry, hun! Hope you feel better soon!
Cemas, what's up, girl? I don't know much about grapefruit juice either, but have you tried Clomid before? Sounds like you need a boost to get those eggs popping out. I bet you have, but just sayin.' Hope you are doing well otherwise. I know, this has been forever for us, no?
HELLO and welcome, I'm4Blue! I am also so sorry to hear about your horrific loss, but I love your attitude and will be pulling for you! You've come to the right place, we are a great group here.
HELLO and welcome to CapricornAquarius, also! Best of luck to you, girl!
Nice to have some more newbies in the group!
TINK, where have you been? Miss you!!!
HI and welcome to you! I would go ahead and start supps and diet asap, I don't think it matters with the bcp. However, if you are not ttc until after December, PLEASE heed the fat gripes here on our board and don't overdo it with the diet! I am going to give this advice to any new swayer.....the lbs can add on really quick, especially if you do it for 3+months. Your diet changes sound good overall, just be careful not to overdo it on the fat and calories, because I'd hate to see you in our camp with looking 3 months postpartum before you even begin.
Sorry, I may be debbie downer here, but I think many of the other ladies will agree with me to take the diet slow and easy.
Your supps look good and wishing you the best of luck! Glad you are here!
Thanks for the warm welcome and the warning Lola. I did want to lose a bit of weight before TTC so I started on the 30 day shred. I have not lost a pound in a month though, but I am getting stronger. My priority is to TTC rather than slim down as time is passing quickly and I don't want another large age gap, DD1 and DD2 are 5 years apart.
