You will do fine, pinkin! It is horrible to be in pain, and I know how you feel, but the epidural will make you feel so much better! :)
My labor stopped with DS#2 and I tried Pitocin... OMG now I know it's the Devil Drug, and that's what I call it! Also, they forced me to do two more bags of it AFTER I had him! I felt like I was laboring for 8 more hours! RIDICULOUS!
Butterfly, that sounds hideous!
Hobber, in Australia we write birth dates differently...so my baby is due on the 15.11.12. So I could still have a 10.11.12 baby, but I won't hold my breath!
Pinkin, midwives are very knowledgable on these things, so I wouldn't be surprised if your DS1 was 36 weeks after all.
Yes peony which I am hoping he was because that would make me feel a little better as in he was fine... But I know every baby is different and this one may not be but id just feel better if I knew ds1 was a 36 ish weeker
Peony, so you are the last hope for the 10/11/12 baby! I hope your baby gets to have that cool birthday!
Pinkin, my OB mentioned the other day that by 34 weeks babies have developed everything they need to, and after that it is just a matter of them putting on weight. I know they need to keep a closer eye on their temps and sugar levels, but I'm sure he'll be just fine. At my work yesterday we were waiting to hear how a 34 week baby was going after an emergency c-section in case we needed to get a paediatrician to them (they were born in a small hospital in the NT). Turned out they were 2.69kg, and the only thing the hospital was going to do was give them some dextrose in a drip to manage and monitor their blood sugar levels. They were really good and breathing on their own from the start, so we didn't need to send a paediatrician, just a midwife to bring them and mum to a bigger hospital.
