Does anyone know how to help groin pain? It is SO bad on my left side..every time I roll over in bed, get out of bed, even just on my walks it's painful. The chiropractor adjusted it the other day and it greatly helped but just for the one day:(

Well I'm not sure I can be helpful, but I have the exact same thing. I have found using a support around my hips helpful. I wear a piece of material tied around my hips or I wear a big tubigrip for extra support. I think the pain is from over stretched ligaments due to a big uterus and also from a pelvis that is a bit misaligned.

I've been co-sleeping with one kid or another for the last 16 years straight. No joke. :) Seems like just as one kid outgrows is, the next one pops in. I'm pretty psyched to be on the home stretch of that. I think an even 20 years will be enough. lol! Honestly? I never intended to co-sleep at all. My kids just never sleep well unless they're in the bed with me when they're little, so it' been the only way to get any sleep around here.
I'm near San Jose. We're up against the mountains, so all of the heat form the south bay nestles in our town. :/ Really fun. Someone suggested I go to the pool the other day. I just laughed at her. The struggle of trying to get me and three kids to the pool across town--let along trying squish myself into a bathing suit right now!--would probably send me into labor. Ever tried to put a walrus into a wet suit? ;)
Omg girlie! Dying!!!!! I was taking my 2 to the pool frequently but with the move, being sick and hardly takign a step without being in pain, it hasn't happened recently:/
No help with pelvic pain. I have had it bad and never found anything to help :(

So, I have been diagnosed with idiopathic polyhydramnios and told I am now at increased risk for stillbirth (exactly what a pregnant woman with my history needs to hear). I will now be monitored even more closely and will be asking my OB on Wednesday about the possibility of early delivery to prevent stillbirth. It's such a shitty (pardon my french) place to be stuck in because either way feels risky. Hopefully my OB will be sympathetic to our fears, take them seriously and together we can plan out the best course of action. I don't want her born prematurely but it beats the hell out of the alternative :( On a good note she is doing well as far as we can tell and is weighing 3 lbs 11 oz now and is soooooo cute!

Oh two, she is so cute! I'm sorry you have to now deal with that diagnosis. That is scary. I will think of you and. Be hoping everything goes smoothly.
Two girls and one boy, due October 16
Oh that sounds scary Two. At least knowing about it means you can be closely monitored. I'm hoping everything goes well.
Bunnygirl, that is exciting you will bring the twins home soon!
I've had polyhydramnios with four of my pregnancies. No one has ever told me it meant a risk for stillbirth. The only thing I was ever told was that it's a sign of diabetes and can also be a sign of swallowing problems, kidney problems, or birth defect with baby.
In my case there is no cause. Maybe that makes a difference. .. don't know. Had a good scare tonight with her HR dropping into the 90s but she is okay.

So scary, Two! Praying for a healthy little one for you!
Thanks ladies. Due to the excess fluid levels, they are going to do twice weekly Non Stress Tests (NSTs; unless I see the specialist that week then I will only have 1) and a weekly ultrasound to check fluid levels. Measuring 3.5 weeks ahead today. Last time I was only measuring 1 week ahead... OB says the biggest concern is that if fluid levels get too high my body could think I am term and kick start labor. If my water breaks there is the risk of cord prolapse. So, that is what I have to worry about. He said we are already planning to deliver early (before 39 weeks.... I will be 38 weeks and 4 days I believe) so as long as the NSTs look good and she looks good during ultrasound that we are going to try to make it to then. I don't want her born any sooner than necessary for her safety and it seems like he is taking my concerns seriously and keeping a close eye on her so, for now at least, I am satisfied with the plan.
Things just got a lot more complicated though. DH's truck is down until we get the $1000 to replace the gas tank, has been for a month or so now. And as of yesterday my car is scap metal. DH is fine, thank God, but a driver pulled out in front of him and my car is totalled. Thank God for great friends. My best friend not only took me to the scene so I could be there for Hubby but has agreed to taxi me to my million appointments until we either get a rental (if other driver's ins will pay for one) or we get the truck fixed which is planned for early next month when we will finally have all the money. Things could have been so much worse so I am oddly thankful despite losing my car. The payments were nuts but I loved that car lol. Dh thought I was going to be mad at him but I was just glad nobody got any serious injuries (minor cuts and scrapes for both drivers and both drivers were alone in the vehicles).

36 weeks and 1 day- i lost a quarter size of my mucus plug this morning and twice have found strands of it. No blood or cramping, I just feel off down there. I was dilated 1 cm at 35 weeks and 6 days. With my second I lost my plug 2.5 weeks before so hoping that is what will happen.

The twins are 6 weeks old today. Dalton is now 6 lb 7.5 oz and 18 in. Ophelia is 5 lb 0.5 oz and 16-3/4 in.
Hey ladies!
I have been so absent due to our move. Things have been crazy over here. Moving kids into the same room has proven to result in a loss of sleep, oldest got a super high fever, work has been nuts and we've had no internet and for the last two days no fun. Oy! Sounds like a lot has happened here.
Congrats Bunny on bringing the twins home! Keep us all updated. What a huge relief.
Two- I'm devastated for you..the last thing you would want to worry about is the health of that baby. What is this syndrome or disease? I would almost want her out now but it sounds like you and your doctor have come up with a good plan. Sorry you're dealing with all of the stress. Keep us psoted on how she is doing. Do you know why her heart rate dropped into the 90s?
Sounds like you have had your hands full!!
As far as HR, not sure but they said that as long as it pops right back up that it was nothing to worry about.
Polyhydramnios is often a warning sign of a problem (chromosomes, health issues, gest diabetes, etc.) Particularly when it is moderate or severe. But in my case (and many others' when mild) it's ideopathic (no known cause). Basically it means that, for whatever reason, my amnio water levels are higher than they should be.
Had an appointment today and my amnio levels increased a bit so now I have to see the specialist AND my regular OB weekly. On a good note, she is still doing great and getting so chubby! I love her chubby cheeks :D So cute! She was not very happy about being bothered and we even got a peek at her crying, lol.

The are SO cute, Bunny! You must be in heaven with them both home.
Two--How scary about your dh. So glad everyone is okay!
lala--glad you're all moved! I hope things start to settle down for you soon.
Two- such a bummer to have to worry but the upsdie is you get to see her weekly now. Do you have the photo of her crying?
Girlie- thanks, I'm ready to feel settled and into a routine plus I'm dying to get the kids room and nursery all done as well as our office. My husband is building some furniture and I'm feeling inpatient.
Yup, sure do :D I forgot to mention she is still head down... Do babies typically go head down and stay that way this early? My oldest flipped like a week before birth and my youngest flipped around 36'ish weeks. She has been head down for at least 2 weeks now and I am only 32.5 weeks. I feel bad for her. She has the hiccups right now and poor baby keeps hitting my pubic bone with every hiccup.

My babies go head down really early and stay that way until birth.
On another note, anyone have any advice for combining rooms for siblings? My 20 month old and 6 year old are supposed to be sharing a room so little one has her room until she's sleeing well through the night plus my oldest has been dying to share a room with him BUT it isn't going well. Suddenly he's waking up at 5:30 probably seeing her and wanting to play. He has recently had to go down to one nap because of her school schedule so he's definitely losing sleep and for awhile I was giving him a super early morning nap to help compensate but today decided that was probably confusing matters even more. My husband just made bunk beds for them and while he made it so that he can't climb up I'm worried about him dealing with one more change ( lack of a crib). That all being said I want to make the switch now because what I definitely don't want is to deal with sleep training a 6 month old and dealing with a confused 2 year old who isn't sleeping well thereby not letting his sister sleep well either. Anyway, all of that was to ask, has anyone successfully got their two kiddos sleeping in the same room? How long did it take? I'm feeling really inpatient and I think step one is to let go of expectations and simply stick to a routine and eventually they will follow but in the meantime....cranky tired kids suck!
I should add, my oldest just had a terrible fever so we had her sleep in the other room and 20 month old slept almost 13 hours from 6 to 6:45 plus took a 2 plus hour nap so obviously her presence is likely the culprit of his early morning wake up.
Have you considered blackout curtains? Maybe having it completely dark will help him not wake so early. My two sleep in the same room, in the same bed, and if my oldest wakes first he lets my youngest sleep but that is not mutual lol. My kids are just early risers. Different bed times, curtains, ect. don't hep them sleep any longer so I am not a huge help. I just go with it mostly BUT there is a rule in our house, mostly to keep them from terrorizing my house first thing in the AM, that they are not allowed to come out of their room except to use the RR until a certain time. Plus it gives me a chance to really wake up before starting the daily grind on weekends.
Having it so that he can't see her may also help (thus the curtains and you already have a bunk bed going for you. If you find he needs to be in a crib still you could also try to covert it to a loft bed with crib underneath...
Two we just installed a black out film so in combination with blinds and curtains it is sooo dark in there. Lol. But you have a point if she is up on the top bunk he won't be able to see her- that could be in our favor. I just have such light sleepers in the morning hours so once it hits 5 am neither are good about falling back asleep. I was torn about putting him in a big bed during all of these transitions but maybe I just need to rip off the band aid and see if it helps or at least doesn't hinder and then reevaluate from there. How old are your two that sleep together two?
Mine are 10 & 6. They have been sleeping together since my youngest got out of the crib around 3... I think? At the beginning they each has there own bed but they slept together on one twin size anyway. Finally, we just broke down and bought them a full to share. My oldest is beginning to ask for his own bed so we may be back to two twins before too long, though.

I have such a hard time being easy gong about sleeping because we all need it so badly and when we don't get it everyone suffers but I think, with 3 kids I'm going to really need to figure out how to chill out. Lol
My kids have never been good sleepers. So, I guess you could say I have been "trained", lol.

So funny because as babies mine weren't either but as I hear other parents talk I realize how great they've been since then and so I think, the days we're losing sleep fall that much harder on me because I am so lucky and so used to good sleep and I do think some people and kids are affected less by a lack of sleep..this family over here become little monsters. Lol
Lol. My boys have other monster triggers, like caffeine and sugar so we limit those.

Wish I had advice but I'm another who couldn't train sleepers for the life of me. Let me know if you hit on any great ideas, though! We'd love to transition our 4 year old and 6 year old into the same room. The 4 year old has just in the last 6 months started sleeping semi-well. I say semi as he only sleeps 8hours, but at least he's not up for hours in the middle of the night as often now! But he and 6 yo are both light sleepers, so we've hesitated. I'm envisioning no sleep for anyone.
