Thanks for the advice, Atomic! I know the pesto isn't ideal, but I track all of my sodium, calories and protein very carefully and only eat it if I have room in my budget. On most days I have plain pasta with unsalted butter and parmesan, which is ok - just not as yummy as my beloved pesto! :)
I'm resisting snacking except for the evening, when I have a bowl of strawberries or grapes. That's not going to blow the whole thing, is it? All I eat up until suppertime is a yogurt, an unsalted rice cake or two, and sometimes an apple without the peel.
