Drink some water and lay down, STAT!
Yeah, seriously! Lay down!
Not a lot of chances to lay down this afternoon. Just got back from picking dh up at work. I'll try to lie down for half an hour or so now but then we have to walk to my kids' school for Meet the Teacher night.
Ladybug~ So sorry to hear it!!! :(
Eeeeee, Mocha!! I hope everything goes smoothly and you get the VBAC-friendly atmosphere that you desire. I have to check here every few hours to to keep up to date. :)
Hobbers and Mocha sounds like your both close now!
I am still about 3 weeks out, but I know it will fly by. SO much to do before then, and no energy, plus I can't stand very long before I get sore/tired. I always put stuff off until the end, because I forget how useless I really am at the end of pregnancy. :sigh: DH isn't much help either, even though he will do things when I ask, he doesn't seem to realize I need him to pick up the slack around here. This weekend he is doing a project on the OUTSIDE of the house--and I need help INSIDE! Ugh.
A pic :)
What a mellow guy!! All the pictures of my kids at that stage are redfaced and screaming. He has a lot of hair! Did your girls have that much? He's gorgeous, TTC5!!
soooooooooo seriously cute and laid back, TTC5, what a handsome fellow!!!
welcome ladybug and fivebabies to the group....
I thought my after having a baby hormones had settled down but mom and I talked today and she got me really upset (usually she just annoys me) and it caused me to start crying to her...and then I told her I had to go becuz I was too upset, I called her back later, and she told me how dare I cry to her, making her feel bad...omg, I am so not going to be that rude to my daughter once she's older! Crazy.....which just made me cry again, and i told her "I'm not crying to make you feel bad, I just had a baby Last WEEK! I'm still hormonal!" that shut her up, somewhat.
Oh auroura~ Talk to her as little as possible. I have a few of that kind of family member. :( Hugs! Hope you feel better soon!
What a bitch she is Auroara! I think that sums up my feelings on her- sorry! It must feel like having another child to look after.
Lynxie, I want a spa delivery!! Sounds lovely. I am in the private hospital here, which is as nice as it gets, but only 1 birthing suite even has a bath in it, so first come basis.
Mocha, it is sounding like this could be it!
Hi ladybug. Bummer about the GD 3 times in a row. That is just not fair. Hope you can get your glucose levels stabilised so you feel better.
I should be leaving for work now. Just can't be bothered. It is getting so hot here now that I just feel like floating in the pool!
Peony, I forget that we have opposite seasons. It is just cooling down here, finally!
Auroara, I can't believe your mother wasn't more understanding and treated you so rudely! She obviously doesn't remember what it was like when you and your siblings were babies. I would avoid her for a while.
Auroara - so sorry about your Mom. I say avoid her for a while too. :HH:
So luckily those cramps and backache never went anywhere. I made it to the kids' Meet the teacher night and now we're just14 hours till my Mom's arrival, so I think we're going to make it!
My babies come out with lots of hair too. I love the bald baby look though as they look like a baby for longer. I am sure my DS1 had his first haircut at 9 months!
Yeah, my kids have lots of hair, too. Especially DD1--I had an ultrasound the week before she was born, and they could see her hair during the scan! She came out with a TON and never lost any.
Thanks ladies for the support, I appreicate it...to make matters worst, she visited on Tuesday (she lives an hour and a 1/2 away) and barely held the baby....so I went into the conversation yesterday already disappointed about how she ignored her granddaughter after haggling me half the preg about making sure the baby was a girl. She's always been a little self-centered, but age has made her 10x worst....she is so crazy right now, that yeah I think I'll avoid her for a lil bit, let her cool off, and let myself get myself more centered.
Lillian is still doing well, still sleeping a lot. She has a fussy period of course in the middle of the nite, when I am already dead tired, hehe. DS2 is still harder than the baby, but he has his sweet moments too. I just don't want him to feel replaced by the baby, you know?
Anyway, I hope Sadie is born soon....I can't wait to see her pictures!! Hobbers, I can't wait until you're holding your sweet little boy in your arms!
Hey ladies just popping on to say a quick hello!! TTC5 once again congrats on the birth of your baby boy! mocha good luck with your birth, hope you have a smooth and speedy delivery :fingers:, hope everyone else is doing fine and well
Hi Bumblebee! I'm glad you stopped by! How are you feeling? Soon for you too!
Well, my Mom's here now and we fulfilled all our family commitments for this week, so I'm ready for Sadie to come. DH is hoping she'll wait until Sunday so he can play in yet another baseball tournament this weekend. Nice to know where his priorities are.
No contractions yet today or any signs she's coming, really. I'd really like her to come tomorrow or Sunday if possible - I'm going to feel really guilty if she comes late and my Mom ends up being here longer than she planned.
Oh, Auroara, your mom sounds terrible! Good idea staying away from her for a while. Glad Lillian is doing well.
3 more weeks or so for me.... and I still think it is a girl. I hope you are right about it being a boy, Auroara!!
Good to see you Bumblebee! How soon do you expect to meet your little man?
Hi mocha!! I'm great thanks have spent the last few months just resting alot in my pregnancy. I have been checked every week since 28 weeks and had growth scans to monitor baby and blood pressure medication to control my BP and thank god everything has gone so well. I'm just waiting to go into labour now although its so confusing I've been having contractions/tightenings, back pain and cervical pain and pressure so many times now, it tends to start and stop after a while, this baby is such a tease! lol! got a sweep booked on my due date an induction if necessary. I actually think I might go overdue. I been practising breathing techniques (hypnobirthing) and got a tens machine and everything else set, just waiting for things to get started now so I can finally meet my baby!!
Sounds like you are ready too, I'm hoping to have my baby this weekend aswell my daughter starts her new school on monday and I so don't want to go into labour on her first day! have you tried anything to help induce labour naturally yet?
Mocha, you have one day left on your ticker! How exciting! I am glad you have your mom there and everything. Maybe you should start walking, and ask your Midwife to give you a sweep when you see her next (when will that be?). I bet it won't take much to get you started.
Bumblebee, hope he gets here soon, and you get to take your daughter to school for her first day. Good luck with everything!!
Bumblebee - I've been that way all week with back pain, contractions and cervix pain too. I declined a stretch and sweep when my mw offered on Tuesday just because I really wanted Sadie to wait until my Mom got here (she arrived today) so we'd have someone to watch my other kids when I go to the hospital. We also had a similar situation where ds3 had his first day of preschool today and I didn't want him to miss it.
I have been drinking lots of raspberry leaf tea, but that's about it. I also walk a lot - picking up and dropping off the kids at school, marathon shopping trips, etc. - but that doesn't seem to have an effect on me. I doubt I can talk dh into dtd because my Mom has the room directly across the hall from me. Any other suggestions?
I see the mw again on Tuesday and I'll definitely get a stretch and sweep then, but I really, really hope Sadie comes before then. I hope you get to meet your little man this weekend too!
Mocha, I can tell you all the things I tried to get DD2 here early, but none of them worked. I ate lots of pineapple, did that uneven curb walking, bounced on a yoga ball, forced DH into sex, ate spicy food, walked like crazy. As far as the sex, I did that when my parents were staying across the hall too--we were just really quiet!
Mocha, I had a crazy amount of sex when I was overdue with Eliza and it didn't help so don't sweat it!! The only thing which helped was the sweep followed by a very energetic walj and lots of dancing! We put on a Beyonce CD and danced like mad. Lots of jumping and hip movement which the boys thought was hilarious! Course she was almost 2 weeks overdue so maybe she'd have come then anyway! Remember to ask yoyr midwife whether she'll repeat the sweep every 2 days :-)
Sorry about the typos - on my phone!
Good luck Mocha!!! I am so glad your mother has arrived...C'mon baby Sadie, its time to make your entrance!!!
So sorry about the way your mom treated you Aurora....keeping your distance will be for the best for now...
Its time for your boy to make his arrival as well....Goodluck!!! So exciting...Baby watch :)
Hobber.....I hope you have your little boy in there :)
Pinkin....I hope you get some relief from the itching soon...
TT5....You boy is beautiful....so perfect :)
five babies.....being hormonal suck...hope your doing better today....
For anyone I missed sorry...hope everyone is doing well....
As for my my blood glucose is all over the map...still no control....Hope we figure it out soon.....I got to see baby Makalee today on a 3D ultrasound....She is beautiful and makes all this worth while :)
My mw called today to see how I'm doing. She said she was going over the schedule and noticed that there's a 24 hour period on Sunday when none of the 3 mws I've been meeting with are on call. So if I go into labour on Sunday I'm going to have a complete stranger deliver Sadie. Talk about pressure to go into labour today or tomorrow!
She said she feels horrible since they usually make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen. She said she can drop by my house tomorrow morning to see if I've had any changes in my cervix, and if I'm even just 4cm she would, in her words, make sure I have my baby tomorrow. I guess she means she'd give me a stretch and sweep - not sure what else.
So cross your fingers for me, ladies!
Have her over Mocha! I hope she can get things going for you!
Lady bug, hope they can get your blood glucose under control. Glad you got to see your baby today!
So... I totally had a baby today!!!! Ivy Georgia was born at 5:04pm. 8lbs and 19" long. My water broke ay.home at 5:50am so we kinda had to just go for it. Can't believe she's so big for a.preemie. she's in the NICU right now for breathing monitoring and blood sugar levels. She's not on oxygen or anything, they are just watching. I can't sleep because I can't stop thinking about her! Ready for morning time so I can go see her. What a crazy surprise!! I'll post more details once I'm at a real computer.
