My brother and I are pretty close but you know, it's not like I can call him and whine about pregnancy stuff. He'd listen but have no clue, LOL! So I do think particularly for shared experiences it is great stuff to have a same gender sibling. They share a room by choice right now and for the most part get along really well. I am sure they will fight as they get older, but their interests are so different (I can tell you FOR SURE they will never fight over clothes, LOL!) that I think they will parallel rather than collide in conflict too much.
Also part of the reason I'm a bit "whatever" about the gender is my girls couldn't have more different personalities, and I've definitely learned that THAT is what you love about them, KWIM? A third girl wouldn't be another DD1 or DD2. Plus DD1 is a total tomboy so I've got loads of superheros, building blocks, karate lessons, etc going on. It's fun
Alexis I haven't kept great track of my FA intake but I just tried to gradually reduce it; in the beginning I popped one with every meal, then cut out the one at breakfast, cut out one at lunch, and now I just take one at dinner. My prenatal has 800 in it. Have you booked your first appointment yet?!? So exciting to go and hear the heartbeat! FX you get an early scan too!
