How many dpo tomorrow mocha? I'm waiting patiently for that BFP!
Tomorrow I'll be 10dpo. I tested right before supper tonight and it was still a BFN. This morning was the first time I really 'felt' pregnant - I was queasy all morning, had sharp O like cramps and kept getting sharp pains in my boobs, but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up too much. I keep trying to remember that I didn't get a BFP until 11dpo with ds3, so if I don't get one tomorrow I'll try not to feel too down. Now if I don't get one on Saturday, I think I might start losing hope, though I know that lots of women don't get their BFPs until later.
I was out babysitting for a friend last night, so I didn't get a chance to share my food for the day:
7am: coffee
12pm: 1 serving curd cheese, corn on the cob, 2 arrowroot cookies, apple
2pm: 1 serving curd cheese (I don't know how this happened - I wasn't even hungry yet - I just ate it on impulse)
5pm: 2 servings rice pasta with mushrooms, leeks, parmesan and creme fraiche, canteloupe for dessert
8:30pm: green grapes and Mike & Ike candies
Calories: 1604
Protein: 42
Sodium: 902
Not bad considering I ate so much curd cheese...
I'm officially 110lbs now, which means I lost another pound over the last couple of weeks even though I've consciously been trying to eat more food. I got another BFN today at 10dpo. I think if I get af this month I'm going to take 2 weeks off the diet since I won't be TTC again until October. I won't worry if I gain a bit of weight since I know how quickly I can lose it on this diet, and I'll make sure to leave 6 weeks before our attempt to get back into the diet groove. I really hope it doesn't come to that, though. I sooooo desperately want this to be our month.
I think that' s a good idea, I've kept meaning to message you to say be careful as you have lost so much weight and you don't want to be in my situation, it is worth working out your bmi, the information I've read says you need a minimum bmi of 18 to conceive. Also one of the girls said she read if you lose 10% of your body weight suddenly it can mean you don't ovulate every month. I don't mean to scare you, I just don't want you to be in my situation. I really hope you don't have to worry about any of this as hopefully you are pregnant!!
Thanks, swish - I have to say your situation has made me think hard about this diet. I started out at about 130 and am now 110, so I guess I'm in the danger zone for weight loss. I've decided that I'm having a cheat night tonight and ordering pizza. If I'm going to take 2 weeks off from the diet anyway, I suppose I might as well start now, and DH is going out of town so I feel like treating myself.
Ok, just calculated my BMI and I got 20, so I guess I'm still safe for now.
That's good, just make sure you don't lose any more
I am SO hungry today! Alas I had:
Lunch: ww wrap with extra light soft cheese triangle and packet ww cheesey puffs. 2 Mr Kipling raspberry slices.
Dinner: Burger King! Regular fries with mayonnaise for dipping and regular coke!
Snack: 2 custard creams and a nice cup of tea :D
Hi everyone!! I haven't been on this thread too much lately... but I wanted to share with you what I am eating and would love to hear if you think its ok or if I should do more... I usually eat a good amount of calories within what I am eating. My BMI has dropped super low... so hoping it stays put for now and doesn't drop much more.
With that said, I have become used to this diet, but will be so happy when its over! :)
Here is what I am eating:
I skip breakfast. I eat mostly white rice, unsalted matzo, rice pasta, miracle noodles or no-noodles, skinless cucumbers, cauliflower, sugar free candies, TONS of crystal light and diet free caffiene free coke, low sugar or sugar free strawberry jelly (with the matzo), a very small amount of chicken from time to time (probably not much at all due to getting closer to my attempt), I use a salad dressing spritzer for just a splash of taste on the rice, noodles and veggies, and the occasional sweet if I have room with calories. I also usually have a couple reduced fat cheez-its or other non-diet types of things in very small amounts just for some flavor at my meal time if I have room within the diet.
:) :)
Your diet sounds good, happyheart!
I got another BFN this morning, so I think I'm out this month :(.
I had my big cheat night last night and it was soooooo yummy, but my poor shrunken stomach suffered for it later!
7am: coffee
12pm: shirataki noodles with low sodium tomato sauce and a pinch of low sodium parm, 2 arrowroot cookies, 1 serving curd cheese, Sour Patch Kids
5pm: corn on the cob
8pm: Greek salad, fries, tzatziki and a veggie pita (YUM!) + a peach for dessert
As you can see, I decided on Greek instead of pizza. I realised that since I was ordering for myself (DH was out of town), I would have to eat only PART of a pizza and save the rest...and I didn't quite trust myself to stop eating once I started. The Greek food was also lower in protein, and the cheating was mostly in the sodium, which I think is the part of the sway that matters the least. My calories were only 400 leading into my big cheat supper, so hopefully I stayed under my limit.
I know you're disappointed mocha but you're really not out at 11dpo, even though I know in your head you should have your BFP by now because that's when you got it with DS3. Why don't you give yourself a break for just a couple of days before you test again? Your Greek food sounds yum!
I think it looks great happyheart!
I'm feeling a bit down about my weight loss. Last week I only lost 1/2lb so I thought this week would be good, but so far only another 1/2lb. There's you ladies eating more to try not to lose weight and still losing and I'm being super good and barely losing any!!
Awww....I'm sorry Z - that must be so frustrating! You've done such an awesome job with the weight loss - maybe you've just hit another plateau. I think no matter what you can feel good about this sway - you've worked sooooo hard to get to this point!
Yeah, I'll keep at it - maybe I'll lose like 10lb the week after during O week lol!
Food for today:
Lunch: Wrap with extra light cheese spread. Hoola Hoops. French Fancy.
Dinner: Low fat ready meal of pasta with cheese sauce, peas and broccoli (and only 300mg sodium!). 2 Fox's Glacier Fruits.
Snack: Tutti Fruttis
I'll be back on Monday night after Legoland - absolutely no idea what I'll eat there ... and when the boys/hubby are stuffing their faces with the treats I've packed for the hotel room in the evening!
Have a great time at Legoland!
Back to more diet-friendly food today.
7am: coffee
12pm: rice with plain yogurt and lemon juice, 2 sugar free cookies, peach
6pm: rice pasta with 1/2 serving of pesto and parmesan (sooooo good), lemon gelato
9pm: Chinese coconut bun (I had tons of room in my sodium, protein and calorie budget, so I ate this as a big treat), peach
Calories: 1684
Protein: 38g
Sodium: 853mg
Thank you mocha and zanacal! :) :)
I am thinking about you mocha!!!
I am down into the danger zone for sure mocha... I started at 116 and now down to 106. I wish that I hadn't started out so strong on the diet. ugh!
Zanacal ~ you have done an AWESOME job with you weight loss!!! :) :)
It's my son's bday tomorrow... we started celebrating early with cake already! :) Yay. :)
Have a great day everyone! :)
I agree, happyheart. If I had one regret it was that I started out with such low calories on the diet, so I lost the weight too quickly. I should have listened to Atomic's recommendation of 1500-1800. In the beginning I wasn't eating the sweets I am now, so I was having trouble breaking 1200 calories a day. Now I have trouble keeping under 1600, but I'm afraid to go over that in case I gain weight!
I completely agree, I wish I had started off within the correct limits, I hope others who start out see our posts and don't make the same mistake, no one should assume they will only be on this diet for 6 weeks!!!! I have out on a few pounds now, I really debated whether this was the right thing to do as I know atomic said ovulation will return anyway, but for me, I feel I needed to put on, once af comes I will eat within the calorie limits. I'm not recording my food at the moment as other than missing breakfast I'm very relaxed and I'm having pretty much what I like. Not looking forward to eating the diet and trying to ach the right limits but I can't wait for af to come!!!!!!!
Wise move, swish!
Maybe we should ask atomic to stress the caloric limits in her diet guidelines thread - I think all of us when we start think we'll only be on it for 6 weeks, and that's a very dangerous assumption. Atomic did warn me my calories were too low, but by then I had been doing it for a while and she said I might start gaining weight if I upped them at that point.
7am: coffee
12pm: rice with plain yogurt, mini banana muffin
5:30pm: homemade low sodium vegetarian lasagna, low fat vanilla ice cream, 2 arrowroot cookies, Mike & Ike candies
8:30pm: low salt chips, frozen grapes
I was in the odd position tonight of having not enough calories. Since my sodium was on the low side too, I could afford a full serving of chips. The vegetarian lasagna turned out really well - I roasted a ton of veggies to put in it, and used real mozzarella instead of the low fat stuff after noticing there is only a difference of 1g of fat per serving between the two and the real stuff actually has less sodium - and it was soooo much yummier than the low fat stuff, which never seems to melt properly. Even with the full fat cheese and the chips, I managed to keep my fat to 26%, and I'm happy with that.
Hi ladies, we're back after a fab weekend! I did my best with food but obviously was over on sodium if not everything - and I had breakfast today, woops!
Yesterday was:
No Breakfast
Lunch: ww bread with light cheese slice, strawberry & yogurt ceral bar, hoola hoops.
Dinner: 3 slices veggie pizza with a little tomato and basil pasta.
Snack: 1 chocolate digestive biscuit
Today:
Breakfast: Croissant with spread and jam. Yogurt.
Lunch: Veggie fajita and about 3 potato wedges
Snack: Cereal bar in the car and a Bakewell Tart when we got home
Back to work tomorrow - boo!
Sounds like you did a great job while surrounded by temptation, Z!
Glad you had a great time, z!! X
I'm feeling really hungry today because of damned af - I ate more than I meant to this evening.
7am: coffee
12pm: homemade low sodium bun with 1 tbsp low sodium goat cheese and a bit of balsamic vinegar, corn on the cob, peach
5:30pm: 2.5 servings rice pasta with leeks, mushrooms, creme fraiche and parmesan, 2 sugar free fruit creme cookies,
8:30pm: ground cherries, candy apple (I saw these at the market and couldn't resist - I used to love these as a kid!), low sodium chips
I ended up with a lot of calories today - 1800, but even with the chips my sodium was very low - 565mg - I should have added salt into the sauteed veggies again since it would have made it tastier. My protein was on the high side - 47g, though 13g of that was from fruits and veggies, and I'm unclear lately whether I should be counting all of those as I always have (I asked atomic in a separate post).
I think this looks fine, mocha. This is probably the calorie amount you should aim for so you don't lose more weight
I lost 1.5lb this week :D
mocha - I don't include vegetables (calories or protein) but I do count fruit.
You girls are incredible! The will power and determination is awe-inspiring! xoxo There's going to be a whole bunch of pink on these boards next year:) Fingers crossed for you all :luck:
:cheerteam:
Thanks, DM - I think we all need some cheerleading right about now.
Well done, z!! What's the grand total now? I had mum's homemade quiche today, anyone any idea on the nutritional content? I think it's probably boy friendly!
It's probably fine, swish. Remember that the IG diet has people eating eggs all the time - I was still eating them for my first month or so on the diet. The crust was probably high in fat and salt, but there wouldn't have been much protein because an entire quiche usually has only 3-4 eggs in it, and I doubt you ate the whole thing! :)
I didn't but I wanted to!! She has left me more for tomorrow, part of the plan to get me to put on weight!!!
Aww...I know my Mom's really worried about me too. The worst part is she knows about the diet, so she knows I'm losing weight on purpose. I think she thinks I'm crazy, but she's sweet enough not to tell me that! She did tell me she thinks I'm not healthy enough to get pregnant right now. She doesn't believe in swaying, and keeps telling me she didn't do anything differently to have me after 3 boys. I know she wishes I'd drop the diet and start eating normally again - I keep having to reassure her that I'm eating healthy food, though deep inside I know that's not true (not enough calcium, iron or pretty much anything else).
Hi DM, good to see you here!
swish - 37.5lb now :D
mocha - more {hugs}
My food for today:
Lunch (eaten at 11am - I was starving!!): 2 ww bread with extra light cheese spread and cucumber, strawberry yogurt, bakewell tart, 3 Fox's Glacier Fruits.
Dinner: Tesco healthy choices creamy mushroom pasta. ww mini tub toffee ice-cream.
Snack: ww mini tub chocolate ice-cream!!
Are you going to join us here rainbowflower?! Hope your first day went ok!
I'm making black bean burritos for supper tonight, and I have the filling cooking right now...the house smells so yummy it's driving me crazy! It's only 3pm here, and I won't be eating supper for at least 2 hours!
Oh, and BTW, 37.5lbs is reaaaalllly impressive, Z - you should be very proud of yourself!
Thank you! I think my bodyshape is different too. I seem to have a really boney neck and shoulders but my boobs haven't shrunk too much and I'm very wobbly all over still - I'm not at all toned! I'm hoping different and wobbly is good!
You're lucky your boobs haven't shrunk! Mine have gone from a C cup to an A cup from a combination of the diet and weaning ds3. I keep having to buy new bras!
Mine have disappeared too! Z, seriously impressive, well done!!! I too have really boney arms and shoulders, maybe it's the lack of protein? I'm going to start recording food now as I need to get back on track a little although I'll still be eating more normally
1040 go ahead bar
1230 quiche and salad, White chocolate buttons, strswberries, bit of bread and humous
