suinset hope your DH is ok now x off to work back on later x x
yes if he didn't release he won't have refreshed his sperm count!
thanks rainbowflower!! think he's just missing the intimacy part!! lol
Littlemisswilko your DP is amazing to have gone 12 days done the deed and not releasing! I'm impressed!
I think I said earlier up in the thread, but i'm from Dorset.Quote:
rainbowflower
where in the UK is everyone from? anyone else in Hampshire area?
There are ladies from, Scotland, the North, Midlands and the south on our thread as well as Aus ans NZ I think and I think the Netherlands too.
O+12 attempt here too think it's much easier to keep an eye on your PH that way and easier to pinpoint. I'm also going to get DP to abstain as this is the opposite of how I got my boys.Quote:
HopeandDreamG
Is it just me or are most of you doing or have done 0+12 instead of cut off? would love to hear your thoughts/reasoning... I have always been set on doing cut off by I'm starting to reconsider hmmmmmm....
Sunset did both I think and got her girl!
I think were missing
Muffin and Chocolate
mmmm... that made me hungry lol
Insurance blokes here eeeek Im hiding away upstairs and have left DP and MIL to deal with it! :)
Littlemiss- good luck with the insurance people!
What's the LE diet Rainbow?
Hope it all goes well LMW, you can start thinking on how you'll spend the money! lol Do you think your going to decorate in the same style as it was all so new or go with something different?
The LE diet, is the low everything diet, which is based on the TW theory of less nutritioned mothers conceived more girls:) I can vouch for my last 3 girls where I lived off white bread, plain pasta and chocolate, making my blood sugars rise and crash all day, perfect conditions for those tougher girly embryo's:agree:
Hope you guys didn't mind me popping in!!!
Sorry ELP, I must have seen your rainbow and got you confused with rainbowflower. Honestly my brain is shot think it's the down falls of being a vegetarian lack of iron! lol
That sounds like my kind of diet!! I could hapily live off of toast and chocolate if I was alowed cups of tea too sounds lovely! So did you not change your PH at all?Quote:

Or do you naturally have a low PH seeing as you have 3 girls already.
It's lovely to have people popping in especially when they talk of diets involving chocolate!! lol
edit- sorry I'm guessing now that you swayed blue with this bump and you naturally had 3 girls before days of swaying.
I must say I was a little confused as why you'd be swaying for a 4th girl. It's not like you'd need too!
I had my babies in Dorchester hospital :D (Actually, I had DS2 at home but we ended up in Dorchester hospital anyway!). I'll have the next one in Salisbury as we've moved house since the others - I'm going to miss my private room and will be desperate to get home!
Rainbow - where in Hampshire are you?
Zana - near Southampton. Do you like hospitals then? I wonder if I'd have preferred my stay there had we had the option of a private room.
I'm actually hoping to avoid a hospital birth next time if they let me! (I had BP issues and a bleed so was hospitalised last time, we'd planned a birth centre water birth)
Do I like hospitals?! No! I had DS2 at home and he wasn't breathing when he was born - it was 5 minutes before he gasped for breath and 15 minutes before he was making regular respiritory effort so we were blue lighted to hospital (around 40 minutes having had my placenta pulled out incredibly quickly - that drive was almost more painful than the birth!) and he spent 3 days in SCBU. DH said no more babies if I wanted more home births as it was the scariest day of his life - he followed us to hospital and didn't even know if DS2 was alive. I'm more than happy with this actually and try instead to focus on the positives of being in hospital and still try to make it as natural as I can in that environment and am very clear about what I do and don't want (no drugs except gas and air after that little experience!).
Southampton isn't too far from here either - I was at Ikea with my sister just the other week!
sorry i'm losing the plot it was rainbow that first mentioned the LE diet. I'd love to hear more I think i'd be much better suited to that. What about salt? Can you season food because I love salt!
I had both mine in Dorchester too! Even though when I was pregnant with both my boys we were living in Poole at the time (we used to live in Dorchester before hand). Firstly I planned a homebirth (really didn't like Poole hospital from my visit) but because of my anemia they said I was better of delivering in hospital incase I lost too much blood and needed a blood transfer in labour. I had such a great experience and got a private room each time it's a really lovely hospital!Quote:

[QUOTE=littlemisswilko;91572]my reasoning for doing 0+12 is that i feel it has a better ratio then cut off and my cycles arnt very regular so i feel it would be hard for me to know when my cut off is! Whereas by going with the newzealand theory of DTD 36hrs after first opk which will be 0+12 is easier!
So my last two cycles: August and September my +opk was CD 14 8pm and 9pm only using digital once a day. so my 0+12 would be CD 17 8/9pm? If all stays the same obviously. Will see soon if I have + same cycle day in November. Should I use digital more then 1x a day. Have been doing regular opks at 2 and 7pm and digitals at night like 8-10pm once cheapies got darker.
Gl with your house!!
HopeanddreamG. If you got 9PM on CD14 then you would do the dead at 9AM CD16.
So a day and a half after your first +OPK I think the advice is to test every 4 hours as you want to catch the very start of the surge with cheapies and if you get a positive back up with a digi unless the cheapies don't work as well as you then just use the digitals.
Also to add I think you have to use a digital for FMU as cheapies aren't designed to use FMU. SO if your pretty regular you could just use the digitals as you wouldn't have to use that many so wouldn't be too expensive.
Oh, also FF said I O'd CD 16 and Ovacue confirmed O the night of CD 15. Like 10pm so the following morning I saw temp rise. I quess this is all consistent
Hope- I think this is where the whole cervix thing comes in and testing CM to see if it's changed to creamy. Saying that O+12 is 36 hours after your first OPK is going on the average that most people will ovulate 24 hours after their first OPK but it can be less or more up to 48 hours.
I think when it comes to me doing it I'm going to try and go with the flow as timing is the least important sway factor I think so If it's approx 36 hours after first OPK and I can see creamy CM then I'll go for it. But if it's 32 or even 40 hours but I've noticed a change then i'll atempt then.
Some people end up doing O+9 or O+14 and some people it will be an exact O+12
Can someone please post a link of where they got there calcium citrate from?
Because at the momet I have calcium carbonate and want to start my strict sway in a few day. I've looked on amazon but allot of the ones on there don't list how many mg of calcium. And I don't want to risk getting a bottle and finding out it's capsules with a gelatine shell. Also some are mixed like calcium citrate and vitamin D which is fine but I want to know how much of each is in a tablet. Also price is important I don't really want to spend more than £10 on a bottle inc p&p as i'm still way off pay day! Please someone help as I can't face spending much longer searching!
Forgot about sunsets uk sway list on PL will have a look there now!
Nope still stuck ones super expensive as you have to take 5 tabs a day and there's only 50 in bottle
and the other already has magnesium in it which I already have also it has 500mg when you need 300mg and 1000mg of calcium when you need 1200mg.
HELP i'm stuck!
No Maybe??? Just popped on quickly while I make tea. She's keeping us waiting.....xx
Hi girls, sorry to keep you waiting! I could hardly sleep last night (so nervous about all being ok and the sex), been out all day in town as back and forth to the hospital and then was so tierd I went to bed.
Well no massive suprise but I am having my third little boy!
I am not suprised but I am sad, I have to say. No DD for us ever now. One thing is for sure, I don't want another baby!!! Not ever! So I guess I am cured of the broodyness! That was my first thought after the scan. I did get a cute 4d shot, will try to post it later. I think the sonographer had all boys as she said 'thats what I have at home, lots of figthing, shouting and biting' gauwd help me!! hehehe!! She did also say he's healthy and thats the main thing, which is a taste of comments to come, but bring it on. I'm ready for that.
He looked very sqisshed in their. DH said he looks like he was licking a window as my uterus was right up to his face! She showed us his bits, DH couldn't make it out, I told the snono I have seen that before and wasn't at all upset at the hospital. Told DS1 when we got to the hospital he was going to be a big brother again, he was in at the scan and said he was bored!!! GGGRRRRGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! After all that stress about how he would feel!!! If I never gave birth or mentioned the baby again he would never remember! MEN!!!!
Bought some lovely outfits for Dave, will post them in a bit.
So I am upset it's not pink, and never will I have my girl, but I am so glad Dave is ok and I am having another shot at being a new mum. Would love to say it doesn't matter but that would be a lie. I have decided to get more girly and make up for the testosterone in my house with shoes and handbags!!!
Thanks for the luck today x
Thank you... I think I'm getting obessed with timing (and swaying all together) bc I feel like I have the other parts of my sway down... I'm just afraid to be too close to ovualtion and end up with an opposite. From everything I've learned I know its the least important it's hard for me to wrap my brain around because I always thought it was most important before I found out about swaying (going just by shettles book)! Which I know has been largely discounted... also why I'm considering O + instead of my cut off.... time will tell
Maybe a healthy baby boy how lovely! Glad you found some lovely boy outfits I was only saying the other day that this winter i've really liked the outfits they have for boys.
I'm glad you have SMOG to vent to if you ever need it, we'll always be understanding as we're in the same boat. And the fact that Dave was the one that made it past all the saying means that he was really ment to be here!
The good thing about finding out at 20 weeks is that it leaves 20 weeks to get your head around it and be at peace with it by the time your little guy arrives.
I can understand you being a bit sad but at least you know you've really tried, and you don't have the what if i'd swayed niggling away.
Can't wait to see baby daves scan pics!
Also I think you should get him Dogger by Shirley Hughes even if he isn't eventually called Dave when he's born. As the Boy in there is called Dave. It's such a lovely book and you'll always remember him being Dave the bean! xx
Maybe baby: I almost feel funny posting before the other ladies that are close to you and I just really joined the thread... but I wanted to say that I know no words can change how you feel..if its at all comforting my reaction would be the same and although I never met you and perhaps its an over-identification I feel sad too...
Ar maybe, a lovely baby boy! Congratulations Hun, what a wonderful addition to your family and even though you feel a bit sad now, you will feel massively different by the time he arrives. And I sooo know what you mean, 3 is definately the limit for me too! X
Maybe - So glad to hear everything went well at the scan and that Dave is healthy! Very funny that your dh thought he looked like he was licking a window. How's your dh with the news? I'm truly sorry that you won't get to have a dd but you'll have 3 wonderful boys around you for life.
x
Ah thanks girls.
Hopeanddream - thanks I know you all know how I feel as thats why we are all here.
I am so glad I found out now. I think I would have been more upset at birth with all those hormones as well. It was nice buying the boy bits. I said to DH no white, cream or baby blue so we got some nice vibrant colours. Also it makes a nice change knowing the sex before birth as we have never found out before. It was nice getting Dave some things just for him. We have choosen a name (not Dave but bumpie will stay Dave until the birth) we just need to decide how to spell the name now! Another celtic name, Scottish again same as DS2
DH is ok - which suprised me as he was the one that initally wanted a DD. Hope he is not being strong just for me. Feel sad I couldn't give him his little girl. He would have loved a little girl.
He got a new iPhone today so thats his new baby now!
can anyone tell me whether creamy cm stretches?
My cervix was super soft at around 3-4pm and firm again by 6pm. Have tested my ph which was back down to 4.6 and the sample was quite small which generally for me means that the ph would actually be lower if i had a bigger sample to test (does anyone else notice this?). My cm has definitely gone creamy but still has a little stretch to it....up to i inch. Is this considered creamy cm?
Just waiting for ds's to be properly asleep then going for it!
